The Blue Heron is a wonderful property, rich with character and history. Our family truly enjoyed staying here while visiting our daughter’s college for Homecoming. I’m not sure who enjoyed the property more, the humans or the dogs. The yard is perfect for dogs and also for families that want to spend some time outdoors, fishing, or enjoying the weather or foliage. The home is properly supplied with everything you could possibly need and everything is very comfortable, including the beds. The hostess was very responsive and even left us some cookies from a local bakery. We even saw a Blue Heron the morning we were checking out while eating breakfast. We will definitely return another time. Thank you!

This is such a beautiful property. Clean and well stocked. Brenda was easy to communicate with and even sent a message to check on us during our stay. So many things to do in this property. Some of our favorites were; movies in the living room, reading on the covered porch, fishing by the creek, dinners at the large island in the kitchen, and my daughter's favorite the loft space for kids. There was more than enough room for our family of five, we didn't even use all the beds. Looking forward to a longer trip in the future.

The house was so comfortable and clean and the property was perfect. Backyard on the Penns. We caught fish. The yard is fenced in for the dog. The fire pit looks amazing and there is a great little deck and grill with an amazing view. We will stay there again.

Cute little spot to visit with family. My kids loved the loft area and their room. Loved the big island for family visits. Not to mention the complimentary cookies were delicious 🙂.

We had a great time- the house was clean and cozy- and just as described online. The owner was so friendly and communicative. Even our dogs loved it- the fenced in backyard with fire pit. Huge outdoor table will be nice to use in the warmer months for large groups. We won’t hesitate to return.

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Heron! The home is beautiful and is remodeled into a modern home with original colonial touches! The view is awesome! And the property is also beautiful! It rained alot of the time we were at the house so we didn’t get to take advantage of the fire pit which was disappointing. We loved sitting on the side porch to drink our morning coffee and take in the gorgeous view! We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property! Brenda was wonderful to work with! Everything was perfect!

The entire process was super seamless from check-in to check-out and in between. The house is nicely renovated and appointed, extremely clean & comfortable and dog friendly with a fenced in yard. Brenda is a wonderful host, very communicative and left us very solid cookies from a local bakery .A great spot overall!

The property was fantastic. Beds enough for everyone, clean and well decorated. It was nice to have a home base for our family visit. The kitchen was a dream to cook it and the outdoor space was lovely. Brenda was a great host. Any question we had was quickly responded too. The house is adorable and spotless, and we love its location on the water. The host was super responsive to all our questions and very accommodating. She even left us delicious chocolate chip cookies! We will stay here again! Extremely convenient to Bucknell, where we were watching our son run!

We had a wonderful stay at Brenda's place in New Berlin. The house has been tastefully renovated, with good use of all the space. Beds were comfy, kitchen had all we needed, and showers hot! Can't beat the outdoor space for relaxing during the warm months.

We were in town for a Penn State football game but had a bigger crew so we chose to stay a bit away from State College. The house is about an hour from Penn State but it’s an adorable, peaceful retreat from the chaos of a game weekend in Happy Valley. The house has a lot of space for guests to sleep. There are beautiful touches to the home and I wish we’d had more time to enjoy its relaxation spaces outside! We will absolutely keep this house in mind for the future.

The home is a charming farmhouse with a wonderful view of the water & fall foliage. It was exactly as presented in the pictures. A group of friends stayed here while celebrating our 35th reunion at Susquehanna University … we have already decided to stay at this lovely farmhouse again for our 40th!

We stayed at Blue Heron to see some friends and family in the area and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had there by far! The property is exactly as described but was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. Brenda was very communicative and checked in with us on the day of check in to make sure we had everything we needed. Super close to Lewisburg, Mifflinburg and Selinsgrove but far away enough that it felt like a real retreat. It’s a beautiful home and we’ll maintained property and we have already recommended it to several friends traveling that way. We would definitely stay again!

The property is exactly as described but was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. Brenda was very communicative and checked in with us on the day of check in to make sure we had everything we needed. Super close to Lewisburg, Mifflinburg and Selinsgrove but far away enough that it felt like a real retreat. It’s a beautiful home and we’ll maintained property and we have already recommended it to several friends traveling that way. We would definitely stay again!

The house was very nice and in a quiet location. Everything that was needed was there. It was nice having separate controls for the A/C in each room. The fishing wasn’t the best but didn’t get rent the house for that. The house was centrally located where we wanted to go and have fun.

Just had a great Easter weekend with my family here including our dogs. House is updated and very clean. Fenced in yard with a beautiful river view is perfect. We will back again!

This was a nice house in a lovely spot. It was convenient to the state parks and state forest for hiking. We enjoyed sitting watching the river flow past, as well as all the animals that came to the river - herons, geese, and deer among others. The downside is that there’s a lot of road noise from the bridge and the road across the river. Other than that, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen had most of the things we needed.

Visiting daughter at Susquehanna weekend for her Senior day. Property was amazing and was great location between Selinsgrove and Lewisburg. Very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again! 😀

We were in town for a Penn State football game but had a bigger crew so we chose to stay a bit away from State College. The house is about an hour from Penn State but it’s an adorable, peaceful retreat from the chaos of a game weekend in Happy Valley. The house has a lot of space for guests to sleep. There are beautiful touches to the home and I wish we’d had more time to enjoy its relaxation spaces outside! We will absolutely keep this house in mind for the future.

We had a wedding in Watsontown which was about 30 minutes away. Perfect for a peaceful stay on the creek. I didn’t want to leave. The property was as described. Highly recommend!!

The house is adorable and spotless, and we love its location on the water. The host was super responsive to all our questions and very accommodating. She even left us delicious chocolate chip cookies! We will stay here again! Extremely convenient to Bucknell, where we were watching our son run!

We stayed at Blue Heron to see some friends and family in the area and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had there by far! The property is exactly as described but was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. The property is absolutely beautiful — comfortable, spacious, well laid out, clean, quiet, and very safe. It was fully stocked with plenty of towels and linens, and the overall atmosphere felt very warm and family-oriented. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to fully enjoy the outdoor areas, which are truly lovely. We are definitely looking forward to staying at this property again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Brenda's place in New Berlin. The house has been tastefully renovated, with good use of all the space. Beds were comfy, kitchen had all we needed, and showers hot! Can't beat the outdoor space for relaxing during the warm months.
