Great and relaxing! With everything we need on the bottom floor plus close to bus stop and trolley stop! Amazing place to stay! Need to keep pool open longer though like lost other hotels close at 9-930pm. Plus upgrade the pool!! Thanks

The elevator situation is no joke. During peak times going to your room can take a while. Also during peak times trying to leave your room can take a long time. Wait time ranges from 5 minutes to 30 minutes, if not more. They limit 7 people per elevator so if you are on a lower floor leaving your room can take some time. Overall the hotel is old and is in need of renovations. The rooms are big and the full size fridge is a plus. But the bathroom is small and there is a mildew smell coming from the shower curtains. There is also a lot of outside noise that makes it into the room. We had a room facing Ala Moana street, so all the car/traffic noise was heard in our room on the 23rd floor The hotel has lots of memories for the family but with the current state the hotel we can not justify returning until the issues get resolved

I found this hotel to be great in its location, amenities, and price point. It's not a luxury resort but I didn't want to pay that much, haha. Our Ilikai room had a kitchenette and a sofa so it was great for a small family for several days' stay. The hotel has two pool options, and has a convenience store, ice cream shop & dining options. Its location is safe and attractive, and within easy walking distance to the lagoon and beach. While there were a couple of little things that could have been improved on, they were nothing alarming (e.g. there were a couple knicks in the paint in our room; wish we had gotten more sugar for coffee). I would definitely stay here again. Oh and awesome surprise, the hotel upgraded us to an ocean view room (I had reserved a city view room). It made our Hawaii vacation all the more memorable! Thanks Ilikai!

There was no self parking, only valet parking for $45 a night. Amenities were an additional charge of $33 a night, these are items that should already be included in the price like use of swimming pools & enhanced cleaning protocols. Most hotels will include it in the price per night. The elevators & carpets need upgrades. And the sofa bed was so old that the mattress was warped. Other than that, the grounds were beautiful, the staff were amazing & we enjoyed our stay.

Elevators caused troubles during the whole of my 8 nights stay. 2 or 3 elevators worked out of 5 and always long queue to get on. I have left the hotel and now feel safe.

Great room on 24th floor, spacious, clean, kitchenette perfect and lanai w partial ocean view. The free ice cream tickets were a plus and unexpected but the resort fee is high and you cannot get out of it. However, the hotel had water stoppage, electricity outage and elevator malfunction all in my short under 72 hr stay. Did you read 24 floors... I waited 15 mins for it before my stair descent. be aware. Many elders were upset, rightfully so

Our 9-day stay at the Ilikai was good overall. The staff was the highlight of the hotel— everyone we came into contact with was very friendly and helpful. For the price, the room was good. Having the full kitchen was great. Loved that all kitchen appliances and utensils were included in the room already. We needed extra pans and the front desk sent them up to the room quickly. The room was clean for the most part but there are some areas of improvement when it comes to cleanliness. The shower head was very grimy. It looked like it hadn't ever been clean. The mildew was very visible. There were also small gnats that hung out in the shower area of the bathroom (on the ceiling near the shower head). I also found two small cockroaches during our stay— one on the refrigerator door and another on the carpet near the bed. Again, the room overall was clean but it could be better. Loved the eating at Poke Paradise. Went almost once a day because it was so good! Also ended most nights with a treat from Dave's Ice Cream. Also really good!

A low end property. Cockroaches in the room. Staff was unfriendly, and there is no feeling of security, elevators are open to anyone and there were random people wandering on the room floors. They also charged me a $325 security deposit even though the room was prepaid.

Location is good! Staff is amazing! Very friendly and eager to help! I was traveling with an infant and arrived early! I was given a complimentary upgrade which was very unexpected but was exactly what I needed since I was exhausted from traveling. I was able to relax with an amazing view. There was a couple things that I noticed in the room overall it was clean but the headboard Al had some stains that I think should be addressed. Steam cleaned or something.. also the pull out sofa was worn out. The mattress should be changed. Other then that I was happy overall.

I expect a decent hotel based off the rating Expedia shows. I’m now questioning if they receive kickbacks from the hotels for better ratings. My room was beyond filth. The tile floors were dirty and black all around the walls and corners. There was pubic hair on the toilet tank, shower floor black, walls and cabinets were dirty and gross. The pull out bed had who knows what all over it and there were no sheets or blankets for it. After calling for the sheets and blankets someone came and delivered 1 sheet and 1 blanket. Last I checked you need 2 sheets and a blanket minimum to make a bed. The hotel was willing to let me out of my reservation but unfortunately it was 6pm and I didn’t have much time to find anything else. Thankfully my reservation was only for one night. If you like a clean hotel room stay clear of this place! Also the halls of every floor are hot, smelly and have no AC. The halls are also in worse condition than the rooms! Ugh so gross. I e honestly never been in a room/hotel this gross. The lobby and grounds look good.

The staff was amazing. The room was okay. The issues were the holes in the sheets and the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. It was old and hard as a rock!!! For $400 a night I would expect better.

My wife and I stayed in a Sunset Suite for 3 nights. The room was spacious, comfortable bed and great views of the marina, city and the Pacific Ocean. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are shops and restaurants on site and plenty more walkable in the area.

Room 2209. 2 bedroom 2 bath. City view but with partial view of the water. Complete kitchen amenities. Living room has a sofa bed. 1 bathroom has a bidet. No safety deposit box. Walking distance to the lagoon and beach. Beach was very rocky. Bring aqua socks. Old hotel, but generally we had an awesome stay in the hotel. Its a must especially if you are a big family.

Love the location and convenience. Check in was good to excellent. Room was large and comfortable. View of the harbor was excellent. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Kitchen was there but we did not use it. Lanai furniture was so, so, not that comfortable and no lounge to lay on. TV was beyond our ability to figure out how to work it. We did not call for help, we just went without. Not user friendly at all. Shower was a total joke with little to no water pressure. Worst shower head ever! There were few conveniently located electrical outlets for charging our electronics. Emphasis on convenient. Shower and/or surrounding area had no grab bars for added safety. Restaurant, poolside services were very good/excellent. TV, shower and electrical outlet convenience were a big, bad, never come back to. Yes, we've stayed at llikai before but probably will not be back until the negatives turn positive. There should be an adults only pool too or enforce the noise, screaming and horseplay in the sitting pool.

The location is good because you're right next to the lagoon, which is perfect for kids. And it's within walking distance to Ala Moana mall (10 min walk) The rooms are comfortable, but the bed is on the harder side. And the AC was temperamental. It would be really cold, then felt like it was struggling. There were lots of fresh, clean towels and the kitchen is nice when you have leftovers to reheat. The pool is basic, but was okay if you're looking to just go for a dip.

The staff at Ilikai Hotel & Luxury Suites were one of the best services I have received compared other hotels and services. Nia, who helped me check in made sure I was fully understanding with the bill, my complete stay, and amenities I had. We got provided with complementary water bottles and a coupon to redeem an ice scream scoop at Dave’s located in the hotel. The hotel itself was located 6-8 minute walk from the beach, which made for an easy access to a fun day or night playing in the sand or the water. The room service was outstanding, providing new towels, toiletries, and garbage cans. They even remade the beds, so after a long day of plans, I was able to come back into a comfortable fresh bed. Due to all the services and care provided, I would choose to stay at Ilikai Hotel & Luxury Suites again!

Our stay was great. We stayed in a junior suite with a kitchenette which made our stay affordable as we cooked most of our meals in the room. The bellman and the front desk staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The housekeepers were great as well! I was not expecting them to keep our rooms so tidy and clean but they did and I appreciated it so much. They also left extra towels which was helpful as we were traveling with 3 little kids during our stay. The valet for the hotel could use some training in hospitality. We dealt with a female employee who was rude and not helpful.

Really tough to review this property because of so many inconsistencies. Front Desk: 8/10 nice people but not enough staff Check-in: 2/10 only one lady. I had to wait in line 30 minutes then 15 to process my room Room Furnishings: 8/10 nice Balcony: 9/10 huge WiFi: 9/10 specific connection modem for each room Room AC: 6/10 weak as expected from old property Room Bed: 8/10 for ultra firm mattress Room Linen: 8/10 Building/Hallways/Elevator: 5/10 not luxury resort appearance. In many places it needs paint, wallpaper repair. Looking closely it is run down a bit. If you want the feel of fresh luxury, this is not the place. But it’s otherwise ok. Ice: 5/10 as you have to go to the front desk Beach Towels: again everything via front desk Check-out: 8/10 late noon check-out is great but no drop off for beach cards as you must again deal with front desk. Restaurants: 8/10 all are very good Nice old property that is good but not amazing. Too much dependence on the front desk. Properly a 3/5 star property.

Little bit disappointed for 1st stay in Honolulu. Not friendly staffs from vallet to front desk. Front desk was unable to find my booking. She took long time + holding my phone to look for my booking. I was asking for her help or manager could help since we just got off from long flight. She didn’t seem sympathy. Then she asked to wait, finally I got my into my room

We loved our stay! The kitchenette was perfect for our family - not having to eat out every day was such a help. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We loved having ice cream at Dave’s everyday! Access to the beach and lagoon was seamless and quick walk with the kids.

This property is absolutely stunning. I just loved the rooms with full kitchens and sitting areas with HUGE lanais, seemed like a SUITE! Restaurants and fast casual options in the lobby were a PLUS and the staff was so so so wonderful and accommodating. Highly recommended and you get SO MUCH for the value. And Pesca?! All day happy hour on the 30th floor was a dream. We will be back!

Initially I booked the Ilikai because of the location and it had my favorite breakfast spot in the hotel. When we arrived I found out that Cinnamons restaurant was permanently closed! I had requested our rooms, I booked two to be be next to each other. They didnt even read the email until 3 days after we arrived. I found the bathrooms were very old, sink was clogged and a fan in the shower with dust and who knows in it. We asked for extra towels and it took so long we ened up using the towels we brought for the beach to shower. Found a cockaroach in the kitchen! Our lock in the room didnt work, found out the battery had died. Went to the front desk to get some beach towels and was told vendor didnt bring towels yet so the pool and room as well as beach towels were not available. Will not be booking there again! There are so many other hotels with great locations, will go there!

We love the Ilikai! The property has everything and is near the beach and lagoon! There’s a poke shop, ice cream shop and coffee shop all in the lobby.

Amazing amazing amazing! The hotel is located right next door to Hilton Hawaiian Village. The unit and lanai is huge and includes a large room with king bed and full living room. Kitchen has sink fridge stove/oven and lots of appliances. We got the ocean view facing the Hilton and could see diamond head and the lagoon. The other sides either face the marina or the city. The hotel has multiple shops in the lobby and several really nice restaurants. The roof top Empire steak club was spectacular - the views the food the service was 5 star. The staff at the hotel were very friendly. This is a very well maintained condo hotel. Perk that Valet allowed us to leave the car on checkout day until 11p which was great as we had a late flight. They also held our luggage for a few days when we took a side trip to Kauai which saved us from having to take luggage we didn’t need. Highly recommend this listing.

The location on Waikiki is very convenient. We walked the beach every day and used Uber/Lyft to go far. The patio restaurant food is really bad. Stay out of it for food but drinks are OK.

We totally enjoyed our stay! The room was amazing, from the view to the amenities. The downstairs restaurant was excellent for a quick drink or for a meal, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The Empire Steak has was next level. Thes best meal we had while we were in Honolulu. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone.

I loved the staff...so friendly, Front Desk (Kim & Ron). PBX, Bell Staff, Sharon at kids pool & Hskpg all excellent staff!!! In the Menehune Grille - Blonde PM Mgr and Tessa the server were excellent!!!

Have stayed at the Ilikai before. Unfortunately this trip met problems with the electrical system. Elevators were running on generators, so there was a limit of seven on the elevators. Lines for the elevators were long at times. The power went out at times for two days. The reasonably priced Cinnamons restaurant was indefinitely closed. Went to eat at the neighboring Hilton Hawaiian Village and Prince hotels.

Let me start by saying that the Ilikai is the best hotel I’ve chosen for a vacation so far! We absolutely loved our stay, from the location to the wonderful staff. Marie went above and beyond to help us resolve a few issues, and Chester was always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. Their kindness really made a difference in our experience. The location is perfect! It’s close enough to everything but far enough away from the crowds to enjoy a quieter, more relaxing stay. Many tour companies also offer pickup right from the hotel, which is super convenient. I had considered staying next door at Hilton Hawaiian Village, but I’m so glad we chose the Ilikai. The village is fun, especially if you have younger kids, but our son is 14 and really enjoyed the Ilikai and its more relaxed atmosphere. A few helpful tips for your stay: * If you want to spend a day enjoying Hilton Hawaiian Village, you can purchase a day pass for around $30, which gives you access to the pools and discounts at participating restaurants. * You can rent beach umbrellas regardless of which hotel you’re staying at, and the lagoon is open to everyone. * Goofy Cafe & Dine is amazing! Their kalua pig eggs Benedict are delicious. 😊 * Don’t miss Lappert’s Ice Cream at the village. It’s a must! * Ala Moana Center and Sam’s Club (great for souvenirs!) are only about a 10-minute walk away. * Waikiki Beach is about a 25-minute walk, but we stopped for coffee along the way, so it didn’t feel nearly as far.
