Ira Hotel & Spa - Adults Only

Perfect & beautiful location. Boutique hotel. Excellent & charming staff & service. Lovely spa & good massage.

We, a family group of 4, stayed at 5 different hotels in Greece for our holiday. All but one were excellent and provided everything expected of a 3–5-star hotel. The last one, the Ira Hotel and Spa located in Santorini is rated as a 4-star hotel. We disagree with this evaluation and suggest that it should be rated as 2-star at best. The property is very modern and visually appealing cascading down the cliffs on the side of the caldera which consequently requires many staircases. The concern which faced us on registration was the absence of a functioning restaurant and bar. This was unique among the hotels we stayed in on our vacation and had several consequences. It meant that a pleasant lounge and excellent swimming pool, both with stunning views, were barely used by guests in our experience. We were told by the hotel staff that since they had chosen not to open their restaurant and bar, we were not able to have a glass of cool white wine in any public space on the property and in particular in the afternoons which were very warm. We could only drink alcohol in our rooms which made us feel like children being disciplined solely to saving the hotel the costs involved of operation their restaurant and bar. They explained that otherwise they would be in contravention of the laws.

The hotel was nice and clean. The room was also very big and spacious. It’s in a great location because you’re only about a 15 min cab ride from Oia. The view from the pool area of the hotel is breathtaking. The staff is very friendly and accommodating however i do feel they’re a bit understaffed. The only thing I’d say they can improve on is having the restaurant be more available, they only serve breakfast 8am-11am and then they’re closed the rest of the day. Other than that it’s an amazing hotel and for the price you really can’t beat it.

The area was quiet which was nice. Overall, the facilities were average. The electronics only work when you are in the room which included the AC and the refrigerator. The view was exceptional from the room and the pool was a nice feature. It's a bit of a walk to the downtown area, very easy downhill but quite significant uphill walk. Breakfast at the hotel was again average, fruits and yogurts with frozen pastry, with Al a carte items like omelette and eggs. Middle of the road overall, would probably prefer a place closer to town if I came back or that had a nice restaurant in the hotel.

Let me start off by saying that Vanessa and the rest of the staff were great and accommodating…however they could given they were left to deal with the false advertising that this property has on its website. This property sells itself as an adult only hotel with a restaurant with beautiful views. As well as a lounge to have drinks while watching the famous Santorini sunsets. There is no restaurant, bar or all day snacks as advertised on their website. Sorry except for a tired excuse for a breakfast.. a few tomatoes, dry cucumbers, bologna, feta and a basket of breads accompanied by a cold boiled egg and yogurt. What we were told was that due to the earthquakes they were not allowed to serve on their cliffside restaurant for safety reasons. The whole island is cliff side!! But this place seemed to be the only one on the entire island that could not serve food or drinks. We were told however that we could buy local drinks and food and would be restricted to eating this in our room. As we were not allowed to bring anything to the pool or lounge in case they were patrolled by the authorities. The manger of this hotel absolutely terrible. He is not helpful or accommodating in any way, let alone inaccessible. No name, number or contact information at all. He wasn’t even on the island or visit the hotel for the entire week we were there. So even though Santorini is absolutely beautiful and very picturesque, I would not recommend this hotel for its amenities.

The staff here is wonderful. Shout outs to Fotini in reception, Sava in housekeeping and Noman in the breakfast room. The hotel views are beautiful and the room while not too big had a huge comfortable bed and a large walk in shower "room" and a built in closet and counter area. No desk. The hotel is clean and seemed to be fairly new. The tv had many channel options. There was a minibar in the room which wasn't too expensive. A bottle of water was 1 euro. The AC/ Heater worked great and was new and quiet. I had a few ants in the entrance to my room but Sava mopped my floors and this took care of the issue. Breakfast is the same each day and is hand delivered to your table when you arrive. It was healthy and plentiful but not an American breakfast. People shouldn't expect the same exact food when traveling as back home. There could be a few hooks added to hang wet towels if you want to re-use them. I hung mine up on a hanger in the closet which worked fine. There is a safe in the room that I didn't use. Nice pool and lounge areas. I had a great time and I thought the hotel was very nice and a good value. It is in a nice area also. It is about a 15 or 20 minute walk to the bus to Fira central station. Lots of shops and restaurants near the hotel.

Excellent staff and facilities have been recently updated so very clean. Conveniently located close to Fira for walking but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Convenient parking if you have a car. Breakfast was provided and very good. We were surprised that the restaurant/bar is now a lounge. We did always receive prompt service for food and drinks when we went to the lounge but missed the personal interaction you get when chatting with wait staff/bartenders. Unbelievable view of the caldera.

Overall a very good hotel to stay at. Is very convenient located and walking distance from great restaurants, shops, etc. Only thing is that there is no full service restaurant though out the whole day. Only breakfast available. Also the pool area is small and gets easily crowded. The hotel is clean, has a nice ambiance and great and friendly staff. The rooms are two and three levels indeed. So be aware. The views from this hotel are breathtaking.

This hotel was a great choice for me. It was located about a 15 minute walk from the central station of the buses. The breakfast here is really good and has options for everybody. The hotel was also very clean with stunning views. What made this place exceptionally special, was how excellent the staff were and how knowledgeable and kind they were. Highly recommend staying at this hotel!

Beautiful hotel with an amazing receptionist. The staff are really friendly too. The views are spectacular and the cleanliness is top tier. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Very beautiful place.The rooms are big, bathroom is amazing, mattress and pillows are very good. The girls did not clean room for 5 days, but they put blanket on the bed, put clean towels and took away bag of garbage. Maybe it was not the season and there weren't enough workers.Breakfast was terrible: one very hard boiled egg, one piece of sausage, one piece of cheese per person, old apple slices on the small cup of yogurt. If you want anything else, you have to pay a lot of money, wait about hour for two soft-boil eggs and you still won't get them, because the woman who has to cook yells at all the workers the whole time. Again maybe it was not the season.

Good, found some ants in the room from some crumbs that had been left behind in the cleaning process. Unfortunately keycard power access means AC turns off when you leave and room doesn’t stay cool- was quite damp upon check in

Overall the property is very nice. My complaint is that on the second day after our cleaning ladies cleaned our room, in the evening we found ants in our washroom. When we complained about it when we’re checking out, the person checking us out did not care about what we had to say and asked us to check out fast and they acted as if they did not understand what we were saying. But the property is conveniently located near restaurants and transportation to town.

Das Hotel liegt auf einem Hügel und ist auf den ersten Blick okay. Das Personal an der Rezeption war teilweise nicht hilfsbereit, unerfahren und hat uns sehr lange warten lassen. Das Frühstück ist sehr übersichtlich und auf Wunsch bekommt man auch Wasser. Die Zimmer waren okay wobei das Bad nicht wirklich sauber war und auf der Terrasse lagen leere Bierdosen. Der Blick aufs Wasser mit den Schiffen und dem Sonnenuntergang hat den Aufenthalt etwas angenehmer gemacht.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great hotel overall. nice vibe, good location, and we really enjoyed our time here. Only thing we noticed was that the bathroom had a smell from the moment we walked in. I think the place might run on a septic system. We didn’t want to bother reception or let it affect our vacation, so we just left it alone. Other than that, everything was smooth and comfortable.

We were at the pool level and had a fabulous view of the town and the caldera. There were loungers outside and a small table and chairs. But, we had to go up and down approximately 5 flights of stairs to get to our unit. There are lots of units higher up, so ask for one of those if steps will be a problem. unit. Our room was on two levels with 3 tall steps to the bed. Both areas were very small and the bed took the upper level with only about 14 inches around the bed. It was very tricky to get to the bathroom from the far side of the bed, especially since there is a low railing, about mid thigh at the foot of the bed.. There was only one night table. Our unit is not shown in the photos. The staff were awesome, especially Christina. It was very clean. I wouldn’t stay in the room we had again, but it was one of the few at the pool level.

We had the Superior Suite - Garden, it was lovely. Large and spacious with modern decor. Looked quite new in terms of build. Restaurant closes early but you're so close to Fira town, there's many options. Fira centre is a 15 minute walk. Pool area is okay, nothing super luxe. However, views are fantastic.

The view & proximity to Fira are amazing, the reception staff were very nice as well. The room is very small, barely enough space to walk around the bed if you have multiple luggage’s, no common area either. No restaurant on the property, the complimentary breakfast was very mediocre & if you wanted more than a bread basket & cheese plate you’d have to purchase. They do not offer any accommodations, we arrived slightly earlier than check in time & were not allowed to check in to our room until 3p, we also had a pick up a couple hours after check out time & they could not offer any flexibility for a late checkout. Not even complimentary water was available in our room. The pool is also very small. Overall we wouldn’t stay at this property again.

We booked the Maisonette suite volcano view and it was amazing! The receptionist and staff were also very helpful and friendly!

This hotel is amazing in all ways except one. The view, the staff, the location are all 10/10. The only challenge was the layout of the rooms. Having the bathroom downstairs left a very cramped upstairs and there isn't much space to put clothes except to leave them mostly in your suitcase.

Although a beautiful property, rooms were small and shape of room made it difficult to move around - we had two suitcases, so one blocked door. When we booked it said buffet breakfast, which was not the case now - they serve pre portioned continental and if you want more of something, it is a hefty charge (ie give one soft boiled egg and an extra $8E for two more). Says restaurant on site, which is false. Inflexible with checkout time, most hotels are noon, not 11am - declined even extra 30min and housekeeping arrived prior to 11am on checkout day. Although outstanding view from pool area, the glass was covered in green bugs (similar to fruit flys). They swarm on you when laying around pool, annoying but did not bite. Staff did nothing to try to remove.

フィロステファニのメインスクエアから徒歩で３〜４分、フィラからも歩いて15分程の崖に面した位置にあり、シービューの部屋からの眺めが素晴らしい。また、（すべての部屋かどうかは分からないが）部屋が洞窟風の造りになっていて、サントリーニらしい雰囲気を味わえる。 ただし、泊まった部屋（106号室）はベッドの脇の部分の天井が低くなっていて、気をつけないと頭がぶつかる造りになっていた（実際３泊の間に３回ほどぶつけました）。 １つ不満だったのは、スーペリアルームはバス付きとなっていたためこのホテルを選んだのだが、確かにバスタブはあったものの栓がなく、フロントに問い合わせたらシャワーしか使えないとの返答であった。サントリーニの水事情からすると仕方ないのかもしれないが、これには正直なところ騙されたという気分。 また、プールは泳ぐには小さ過ぎる大きさだった。

Room was small but great. The patio opened up to the pool and the incredible view. You can walk into town either way super easy or to the bus Station to go to the beach or Oia.

We stayed in Santorini for two days 3/31 through 4/2/25. Our room was amazing. We stayed in a honeymoon suite. Views of the volcano, a balcony with a hot tub. Absolutely breathtaking views. The regular rooms are definitely cute & cozy, but I would not recommend more than two people in a regular room, it’s like a cave, pretty cool looking, but on the smaller side. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. The two ladies who worked there, Athena and Vanessa, were very nice, sweet and accommodating. The reception office closes at 4:30, but they have a phone number posted and you can reach to them at any time via WhatsApp messaging. The breakfast provided was very nice and fresh, not heavy. You also have options to order more, different types of food and pay extra. But what they provided was plenty. The coffee is delicious! variety of juices, etc.. very good location. It’s about 15 minute walk down into town. You definitely get a work out walking back up the hill to the hotel though Lol but considering how much we were eating… It was good exercise to burn some of those calories! A lot of restaurants were closed because it’s low peak, but they were still plenty that were open. We had a really nice stay, I definitely recommend staying at the IRA hotel.

Just be carefully booking at this property, the lady in charge at the office is very rude and treat people very bad with no intentions of customer service. Nice place,just need a better customer service.

The views are beautiful. The staff are always professional & friendly. In particular the ladies that run the front desk, Foteini and Vanessa, who are always willing to help.

Disappointing Experience with Ira Hotel & Spa My escape to Santorini was abruptly thwarted by the cancellation of my Tel Aviv flight due to the raging current war. Stranded in Israel, I reached out to Ira Hotel & Spa, desperately seeking empathy and assistance. Unfortunately, their response was devoid of compassion. Upon sharing my predicament and pleading for a potential refund or reservation rescheduling, they coldly demanded proof of my canceled flight. I promptly provided the proof, only to be met with a curt reply - my reservation was non-refundable, and no alternative solutions or accommodations were offered. In times of crisis, compassion and understanding are the bare minimum. Yet, Ira Hotel & Spa's unyielding commitment to their non-refundable policy, without a hint of willingness to work together on a resolution, left me feeling disregarded and furious. This is no way to treat guests facing extraordinary circumstances. Ira Hotel & Spa's callous response has etched a permanent stain on my memory, making it impossible to recommend this establishment. They need to rethink their approach, or they risk alienating countless potential guests who expect more than this heartless indifference during challenging times.

We were really taken care of by the staffs, always there to help at any time . We can’t wait to come back to this lovely place .

El hotel está muy bonito y tiene unas vistas increíbles, además de que su ubicación es muy conveniente. En cuanto al servicio el primer día nos recibieron muy bien, una señorita muy sonriente, de la cuál no tomé su nombre pero fue súper amable e incluso nos habló en español y tuvo muy buenas atenciones. Igual en el desayuno el muchacho que nos atendió era muy amable y estuvo al pendiente de nosotros en todo momento. El problema fue al hacer el check out, cuando me dirigí a la recepción para preguntar si nos podían ayudar a llamar un taxi a lo cual la señora que estaba en la recepción ese momento fue un poco grosera y me dijo que era muy difícil encontrar un taxi en Santorini si no lo reservabas con días de anticipación y me dijo que intentaría marcar, pero no esperó mucho para después colgar y decir que no le contestaron y me dijo que podíamos caminar hacía la estación de taxis y que ahí buscáramos uno nosotros. Eran 12 minutos de caminata bajo el sol y con maletas en calles empedradas con escaleras. En general todo estuvo muy bien, pero este pequeño inconveniente en el servicio hace que la experiencia en general se vuelva menos agradable.

Unfortunately, we did encounter some issues. At checkout, we were charged for minibar items we never consumed. During our entire stay, we only had one bottle of water, but the maid documented chips and several beverages as taken. Despite the receptionist efforts to find a fair solution, management did not budge, and we were forced to pay around 15€ for items we didn’t use. We understand that mistakes happen but this situation left a sour aftertaste at the end of our trip. One night, the electricity went out and an alarm sounded. Electricity was out for most of the night but available again by the morning. It wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but it did make for a stressful final night. Breakfast was another disappointment. For a 4-star hotel, I expected more freshness and variety without extra charges (even cereal came at an additional cost). Overall, while we had a wonderful time in Santorini and the hotel had some lovely aspects, these incidents made the stay significantly less enjoyable. It may have been a matter of bad luck, but unfortunately, we would not return or recommend this hotel.

The Ira did an outstanding job helping us retrieve a suitcase that was accidentally left behind. They went above and beyond to help us get it delivered back to us. In addition to that, the hotel is beautiful! Clean and friendly. The waiter hand delivered an excellent assortment of breakfast foods right to our table. Would stay at this hotel again!

Great location easy access

I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could. When looking at so many options in the area, it could be a little overwhelming as a first timer to Santorini. Our stay did not disappoint at all. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room, (shared pool double I believe) was exceptional. Great location with walk out access to the pool and amazing views. This hotel had incredible walkability and parking for the quad that we rented during our stay. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone

My husband and I had an amazing short break staying at the Ira. The hotel was perfectly situated in a quiet area that was easily walkable into the centre of Fira. The staff were amazing and very accommodating…especially, as we took advantage of not having the kids, and enjoyed several late mornings in bed. I would highly recommend the Ira and would definitely stay again.

The Ira Hotel and Spa was wonderful. The views of the caldera are unbeatable. The staff is so welcoming and helpful. The hotel is perfectly located close to everything, but still very private and quiet.

Fantastic hotel, the views are spectacular and staff are all lovely. There is a pool and plenty of sun loungers. It is not a big hotel and does not feel remotely crowded or busy which gives the hotel a laid back and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is situated 10 minutes walk away from the busy areas of Fira which we saw as a positive being away from the hustle and bustle.

Well located hotel a short walk down a scenic from the bustle and eateries of Fira. First rate breakfast provided and rooms spotlessly clean with great view of caldera and sunsets. Staff very friendly. Swimming pool not very big and carrying bags down steps a challenge - but overall a great experience.

Everything was perfect the only downside is the lack of options for breakfast, and you do have to pay extra for any hot breakfast.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Ira Hotel. Das einzige was wir schade fanden war, dass es tagsüber keine Möglichkeit gab Essen und Trinken zu bekommen an einer Pool Bar Restaurant etc. Frühstück war ausreichend und vielseitig, aber leider nicht in buffetform.

I liked the hotel - but got food poisoning at breakfast from a rotten egg. This was served with stale bread which I returned. I had to go to hospital that evening for IV.
