The Westin St. John Resort Villas

My stay at this property was ultimately disappointing, especially considering the high price. While the grounds were well kept and clearly cared for, many other aspects of the experience fell short. Service The staff were consistently rather rude, which set a negative tone from the start. Interactions felt dismissive instead of welcoming. Food & Dining The food was mediocre at best, and the menu was extremely limited. Breakfast was only served 2 out of the 5 days that we were on property. This was frustrating and inconvenient. Facilities The pool clearly needed cleaning and updating. It didn’t feel inviting or well maintained a separate children’s area would be a great upgrade. Rooms & Property Condition The property itself shows its age. While the rooms have been somewhat updated, the overall feel is still dated and doesn’t match the price point. Value For what we received, the stay felt very expensive. The quality simply didn’t align with the cost. Positive Note The one standout was the well‑kept grounds, which were pleasant and nicely maintained.

Location was amazing. Close to town and easy access to other parts of the island. Pool area was great. Restaurants on site were ok. Slow service, ok food and lots of bug bites at dinner. Parking areas were also sometimes full so that was an adventure. 2 bedroom condo was a perfect size for a family of 4 with 2 teens.

We found the staff very helpful and friendly throughout the resort. The room had great ammenities and for a studio, was laid out wonderfully. The kitchen was complete, clean, and refreshed. However, the bathroom fan did notturn on (and the electeic circuit panel was painted closed) the shower did not drain, and the shower tile needs some real work. I expected more from a Weston in this regard. We were only therw for three days, and so did not report these issues as we did not want maintenence in our room disrupting us. The beach was nice enough, but did not measure up to other beaches on the island. It did have plenty of seating under umbrellas and a good view, however. The pool was great!

Pool was great! St Cruz water sports conveniently located at beach dock. Resort was dead at night. Staff not particularly friendly. Our room needed some attention - ants all over the kitchen counters upon check-in, broken lights/outlets, and black mold built up in both showers. Would stay somewhere else next time.
