This hotel is in the process of remodeling. Though my room had been almost completely renovated, it was filthy! Housekeeping was sorry. The floors had not been swept or mopped in days, looked like. I could not even walk barefoot in the room. Toilet was filthy! Shower was filthy and backing up! Toilet steady ran the whole 3 days I was there. Towels and wash clothes had bleach stains and yellow stains on them. There was a slug and spider crawling in my room. Just poor quality of a hotel for the guests. Needs to shut down until renovation is complete and a thorough clean is performed! Service was friendly. Worst part is, my car was HIT in the parking lot! I know the hotel is not liable for things like this, but somehow the cameras did not even pick anything up so nothing could be done about it. Cheap is not always better. Pay the extra money and find some place better to stay!

Room for 3. Not ready and it's after 4pm. Only 2 sets of towels. Asked for additional set and extra washcloths, told a $5 charge. I went to Walmart and purchased towels and washcloths. Dust thick on bedside lights and top bathroom shelf. Shower stall floor not exactly clean. Pot of 8 1/2 corns took 1hr and 25 mins. to boil. was originally sent to an uncleaned room. no hot water available for the entirety of my stay. clothing iron did not work and no ironing board was available even if I needed to use. staff were friendly enough but definitely not worth the $$ spent.

First off, the property is under a complete renovation, which is not advertised, no hot water the first night I stayed, smoke or fumes in the hallway that made your eyes burn and water. Management would in no way offer a refund, nor move you to a different room. Your breakfast option here is coffee and a granola bar, if you want a juice or soda they are $3 in the one and only vending machine, there is no snack machine or ice. I have frequented the mainstay and extended stay brands many times down along the gulf and can honestly say this place was the absolute worst. Lesson learned, do your research.

Friendly staff, but the rooms looked poor conditions. Torn up furniture and stuff like that. Dust on carpets. I know they were renovating the rooms so. Still for the price should have been cheaper. Also no breakfast and your paying $70 a night???

The place was not clean the sheets pillowcase with dirty and it was not clean to my satisfaction. I came there for a funeral to bury my daughter and my family was pissed off with the hotel.

I had to have my room switched multiple times for starters. I was told that they would be finished remodeling, but that was a lie, and I called a month in advance before booking. My first room was disgusting. It looked like a downright ghetto motel as you walked in the building. All you smell is cigarettes. The second room I walked in, had a huge leak and the third one had hair in the bed, but it was two beds so we just slept on the other one. I would say if you need a cheap hotel and you have a big family go for it but if you are trying to enjoy yourself on a vacation get a room that is a little bit more expensive somewhere else this place is not worth it in the photos online do not represent what is shown in person.

Had to book a room for a few days last minute and stumbled across this MainStay. For the price you can’t beat it. Centrally located, close to anything you might need to get to. I originally booked a queen room but upon arrival I was upgraded to a suite free of charge. They’re in the process of renovating the hotel so some parts are still being worked on and others are done. I was in a newly renovated suite and it was more than serviceable to live out of for a few days. If need be i’d stay there again.

The room is old, the stove has rust on it, the fridge damaged, walls damaged. Hallways had a weird smell. The hotel is basically outdated! The online pictures are very deceiving! This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

Room for 3. Not ready and it's after 4pm. Only 2 sets of towels. Asked for additional set and extra washcloths, told a $5 charge. I went to Walmart and purchased towels and washcloths. Dust thick on bedside lights and top bathroom shelf. Shower stall floor not exactly clean. Pot of 8 1/2 corns took 1hr and 25 mins. to boil. Call svs desk, someone would come check stovetop, never arrived. Arrived back to room late after entertainment. Hair found between top sheet and blanket, sheets were dirty and disgusting. Pulled them off and laid on blanket. Hope that was clean. Towels were dingy and one looked as if it were bed bugs embedded. Brought this to their attention and was asked if I was checking out. I let them know that I was very unhappy with the conditions and service. They gave me new white towels.

This establishment refused to honor my reservation. Apparently, there is only a single room in the entire building that allows animals, and it was already occupied. My husband is a partially disabled veteran with a service dog. She is a large German Shepard specially trained to assist him and respond to a fall, seizure, or other issues, and is nationally registered. They didn't care. So, if you are a veteran, or other individual with physical limitations that requires a service animal, I recommend avoiding this place!

There was nobody there to assist and checke.in. I had to page someone to come to the desk. Paid front and dental ed to check in due to the time even though they said It was ok running late. Than I sat there for hours before getting checked in and find rved to pay more even though I paid online.

First off, the property is under a complete renovation, which is not advertised, no hot water the first night I stayed, smoke or fumes in the hallway that made your eyes burn and water. Management would in no way offer a refund, nor move you to a different room. Your breakfast option here is coffee and a granola bar, if you want a juice or soda they are $3 in the one and only vending machine, there is no snack machine or ice. I have frequented the mainstay and extended stay brands many times down along the gulf and can honestly say this place was the absolute worst. Lesson learned, do your research.

I pulled up in the driveway and did not stop to get out .it appeared to have some very unsavory people grouped up and hanging out all around the facility….the area was full of people walking to and from homeless camps…I felt very unsafe just driving into the parking lot

Had to book a room for a few days last minute and stumbled across this MainStay. For the price you can’t beat it. Centrally located, close to anything you might need to get to. I originally booked a queen room but upon arrival I was upgraded to a suite free of charge. They’re in the process of renovating the hotel so some parts are still being worked on and others are done. I was in a newly renovated suite and it was more than serviceable to live out of for a few days. If need be i’d stay there again.

Renovations were taking place. This hotel should have closed while this was occurring. The rooms are cold and uncomfortable. The view and the atmosphere is not welcoming. The staff were nice and friendly

Friendly staff, but the rooms looked poor conditions. Torn up furniture and stuff like that. Dust on carpets. I know they were renovating the rooms so. Still for the price should have been cheaper. Also no breakfast and your paying $70 a night???

First time staying here .. staff was very friendly room was clean. Stayed in a remodel roo. This hotel also offered free coffee and hot teas daily.

Seems to have a limited staff and housekeeping, but what staff I engaged with were very friendly and helpful. Property could definitely use some upgrades, but room was very clean. We enjoyed the full sized refrigerator/freezer. The "blanket" on the bed was essentially a thick sheet, so I requested a better blanket which they graciously provided. If you can get/request a room on the same side of the building as the lobby, I would suggest doing so. The hotel is in close proximity to a major highway and you can certainly hear the traffic, especially with no white noise and if you're a light sleeper. If you're just looking for a clean, comfortable room for a few nights, definitely worth the price. As with everything, you get what you pay for.

Hotel was supposed to be an Extended Stay hotel yet there were NO dishes, glassware, utensils in the room. There wasn't even a hair dryer, which the Expedia site specificaly listed.

Never again. Uncomfortable bed, a/c doesn’t cool the room in the suite but freezes the living room, pullout bed had dirty, nasty sheets, They want IDs for all adults not just the one booking - that alone tells you what kind of people stay here

I checked in and was assigned three different rooms, all of which were unsanitary. Towels were visibly dirty and brown, bedding had hair on it, surfaces had dried residue, and the toilet was unclean. The conditions were not safe or fit for occupancy. I left within minutes and did not stay. A manager verbally confirmed I would receive a full refund, but the hotel later refused to honor it and contradicted themselves when speaking to Expedia. The hotel and Expedia then passed responsibility back and forth. This property does not reflect its online ratings at all. The cleanliness issues alone are alarming, and the lack of accountability afterward made the situation worse. I would strongly advise others to stay elsewhere.
