Travelodge by Wyndham Carlisle North

The room was not clean specifically the bathroom. Their were no privacy signs on the door for limited housekeeping while staying. Breakfast was supposed to be 6-9 but at 8:00 their was limited food to toast, and waffles, which the waffle batter was half brown water coming out... Yuck! Their was limited parking for pick up trucks. "No pets" but yet a dog living in a room with hair all through the stairs and hallway. Barely made it for check in better be there by 10 because the lobby closes... Trashy people living here, pool area isn\'t in a safe location, it\'s right off the highway, which is about the only convenience they have. Not many choices of restaurants around, no grocery store close by. Paid for 2 nights, but left after 1... Honestly, I\'m starting to wonder what Windham is thinking putting their name on some of these places...

Wifi was poor and the pool was closed for maitenance too often

we arrived @4:30 pm and was first told that the only handicap room would not be available for 2 hours. It was suggested that we go to dinner and come back later. I asked for a discount because the room wasn't ready and was told that was not possible because I had already, I did the online check in. We waited and the room was ready in an hour, the window had the lining from the curtain stuck to the glass, no toilet paper holder, the shower head had fallen apart, paint splatter on the floor just outside the bathroom, mop strings on the floor at the trash can and base of the refrigerator, 4 cigarette holes in the bedspread of the non smoking room, light bulb was missing from over our door, and very worn-out mattress. The parking lot was full of potholes and crumbling asphalt. Our handicap room had no safety bars or even a soap dish in the shower. The AC did work in our room, but not in our neighbor's room.

This hotel has serious cleaning and hygiene problems.

Roaches in the room, bedbugs on the sheets, and meth heads hanging out in the lobby. This wasn’t a hotel, it was a nightmare. I left immediately. The manager brushed me off and told me to “call Expedia,” then ignored them too. If you care about your health and safety, avoid this place like the plague.

First night found a cockroach and by then end of our stay ants were everywhere. So much maintenance needed to be done. Covering exposed wires, putting tops on lamps, hanging the mirror back up instead of hiding it behind the desk. Put in a new toilet paper holder instead of leaving the old broken one up. Can’t even guess what the other piece of metal on the wall next to the sink was suppose to be for. Wall by window can’t even figure out if it just needed paint or replaced.

Overall terrible property, pictures are VERY deceiving. Place was disgusting, they definitely didnt clean the room. Dirt and hair all over floor. If youre looking to take a bath and shower all at once, this is your place cause the shower doesnt drain. I was standing with water halfway up the tub. Phone to call front desk barely works, hair dryer doesnt work, smoke alarm has no battery in it!?! Mini fridge has red gunk in it, none of the surfaces were wiped and they didnt replenish hardly any towels in room. I had to go ask for some... overall terrible

There were exposed wires hanging out of the wall The mirror was off the wall and stuffed behind the desk The mini fridge was frozen shut There was a lamp with no lampshade There was either mold or just plain dirt on the wall with the window and on the floorboards The stopper in the sink did not fit - I THINK it was actually the bathtub stopper (which wasn't in the tub) The toilet was oval but had a round toilet seat on it There were what looked like cigarette burns in the blanket Saw a cockroach in the bathroom That is just the highlights... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!!! I checked in very late so was stuck with it for the first night but, I assure you, that was the ONLY night I stayed there!

Dirty and smelly room,Bugs like cockroaches were moving on the walls and floors. Bathroom was dirty and uncleaned. The fan/Ac made such a noise the entire night as if I was trying to sleep in a factory. The breakfast area is the dirtiest. I didn’t dare sit in that area. So, a normal person wouldn’t eat at that place. All in all, please don’t book this place.

Roaches in the room

Expedia should have a quality threshold on the places it offers. The pictures online made this place appear to be very nice, but in reality it was disgusting inside the room and throughout. I had to sleep in my clothes in a towel because the bed and pillows were stained.

heavy smell of cigarette smoke in the room, bugs crawling on the walls, cigarette burn holes on sheets, and garbage left around the room in plastic bags and loose. We requested to be moved to a cleaner room but they would not. We left, and booked the Best Western next door which was decent. Never stayed, in and out, they refused a refund. PHOTOS

Didn't have a smoke detector and strange mold like areas on the ceiling. So turned off, that I didn't even shower in the place. Stayed one night, and that was one night too much.

Smoke free room smelled like pure smoke, broken window fixed with tape holes in the room

it's a budget hotel, next to the super 8 motel, matter of fact, i think the same people managed/owned, both of them. i spent 8 weeks at the super 8 motel when i was working at Walmart, would've stayed longer, but unfortunately couldn't get the same price. the room i got was a bit of a mess, the tub was clogged, the television kept freezing during the football game, the room was very small, and of need of repairs, if i was staying a few more days, i would have asked to be moved, but since I was only there for one day, and it's was only 43$?something like that, it wasn't a problem.

We had to wait 20 minutes to check in, got to our room and found roaches under the fridge and under the sink. I asked for new towels and was having issues getting them when i retuned our used. The cable kept going out and the air hardly worked. The only thing going was the room was remodeled. I would beware to stay there again.

The window was plastic and not glass so when the sun hit it you can't see out. The inside of the room was reasonably clean everything else needs help and updating

Only was able to connect to the WiFi in the lobby and issue never got corrected. Was told the side of the building my room was on was on a different modem. Not to mention the language barrier and the ppl hardly understanding me. Turned off. Won’t be coming back here.

I had no issues with the room. Sheets clean, pillowcases clean, furniture clean. Wish people that rent rooms out would take of them. Staff was polite and courteous.

This is a very good and serviceable motel. Rooms are clean and I got cleaning services every day over the weekend. Staff are friendly and helpful; I arrived early and they made every effort to get my room ready. I come to Carlisle yearly and I will stay here the next time I come for certain. Excellent value for the money. I think some of this motel's bad reviews are because they are based on their previous location, which was very run down. Great improvement since moving to this location.

we check in and asked for extra towels and a pillow the shower head was broken the electrical outlet in the vanity kept shorting out and the ported knocked once and walked into our room EVEN AFTER we told him stop-we are not dressed-I had to jump out of bed ,put on a rob and hold the door closed he looked into the mirror in the room and saw my fiance naked --we told him TWICE do not come in we are not dressed-- we were making love and he acted as though it was our fault. when I complained to the manager at the desk the gentleman said he would refund our visit, when we were checking out the woman at the des said -no we have to put in a formal complaint with the Corporate office. I did and they said they would "look into it" I travel twice a month and will not use the service again-this was my 1st and most likely last time booking thru your services.

Did not even get out of car it was so run down. Advertised as Travelodge but pulled up and it was connected to super 8.

The hotel was very convenient to the interstate we were traveling on. Upon check in our room had been put down as smoking and the lady at the front counter gave us a non smoking. Everyone was very nice. Its a little run down and you can tell lots of people live here full time. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Now on to the free breakfast. This is by no means a 5 star hotel, but if you're going to offer a free breakfast, at least put a little effort into it. A few slices of stale bread and a filthy waffle iron doesnt make a good breakfast. Coffee was weak and ran out. The only good thing was the orange juice. Just don't offer breakfast.

Front desk was on the phone and then after ten minutes finally let me get checked in. The room smelled horrible and the floors were dirty and I just needed to sleep for 5 hours before going back on the road. I do not recommend. I felt unsafe

The room was clean. The staff was efficient. Was a place to rest our heads while we were on a short trip in town. Other than that there were several people who were hanging around the outside of the property at all hours of the night. Was quite confusing with it being a super 8 and travel lodge on the same property.

Poor signage, second Travelodge location nearby, a bit confusing. It is the second wing of the Super 8. Half is Super 8 with good signage, half is Travelodge with almost no signage.

Breakfast was a joke. One light in the whole room gungy. We saw a cockroach. Why is one side of the hotel a super 8 the other a Travelodge?

I would not suggest for anyone to stay there.definately has bed bugs and the breakfast is a minimum

It was convenient to the area. Our room was clean . The motel needs some updating. The breakfast was aweful. All carbohydrates. You should not cook the egg mixture in a plastic bowl in the microwave.. The whole area needs some TLC

First impression: The staff are very friendly and warm, very nice atmosphere in the lobby and family friendly. This review does not reflect poorly on them at all!! For breakfast: This is the first motel/hotel I’ve ever seen where they won’t allow you to take your breakfast to your room after you make it. This was a huge inconvenience as my husband has health issues and waking up and walking to go eat only happened one time the 5 days we stayed. And I couldn’t bring him his food because it was clearly posted near each food item not to take any food or water to your room from the lobby kitchen area. This also surprised me as my two young girls have been sick and I really didn’t want to have to walk them outside to go eat and cough around other people as well. In my own opinion, this is a huge inconvenience for a mother with two children and a sick husband who takes his breakfast in bed. (I am assuming the food rules are relevant to the fact that this property has a major cockroach infestation, but because there are refrigeration units and microwaves in the rooms I find this rule to be a bit unfair and unnecessary.) For the room: cockroaches, broken bath plug, toilet paper roll holder is missing/broken, floors don’t look like they’ve been mopped or swept recently(sticky, ew??), food was on the bed liner from last guest, there were dead cockroaches on the edge of the rooms, the remote was filthy, a used box of tissues was still in our room, and the bath tub had hairs in it.

You get what you get for the price, but we booked 3 rooms, they didn’t even try to place us next to each other when they made up our room cards, parking lot was not packed and I could see the open rooms on the screen. The rooms were “updated” but not very well, the light switch in the bathroom you could see into the wall around the outlet cover, the smoke detector looked like they tried to hard wire a battery operated one in, no battery in it, the outlet box halfway behind and under the smoke detector you could see the wires in the box and the wire caps on them, tried using the test button on the smoke detector, it didn’t work. There’s a water stain in the toilet. The floor in the bathroom behind the door was sticky and had dirt and hair stuck in it. Someone saw a cockroach in the other room before we left. Part of the window was placed against the wall in our room, hidden behind the curtain. Like a protector or double pane to the window. The door to the hallway had a gap between it and the frame where it latches- someone could stick a flat item in between and jimmy the door open. Breakfast was, waffle maker, cereal, bagels, toast, OJ, muffins.
