Executive Inn

For the price, we just hoped for a safe, clean spot to sleep for the night, & we also planned to have dinner&drinks at their restaurant/lounge, as both showed as accommodations we could expect. Sadly, none of our reasonable expectations were met! The room was absolutely filthy, fourth hand furniture at best which included a couch that smelled like it had literally been used as a toilet! And I am pretty sure the inmates at the nearby prison are provided better linens and pillows than they give their guests at the Executive Inn! The smoke alarm was completely disassembled, so had there been a fire, we would’ve been the last to know! And the nearest “restaurant”is either the Dollar General across the road or the Casey’s gas station a half mile away. If they have a room that matches the pics they advertise I imagine it is the one the owners stay comfortably in while their guests conditions are nothing short of horrendous!

Get to hotel and was told I have NO reservation even though I have hotels .com itinerary, desk calls manager who tells me they have new employees and my reservation was never put in.... After a 4 hour drive to get there he tells me he can put me in a different room after I bitched, tells me he will knock $10 whole dollars off, mind you I booked a king room with a jacuzzi tub and was given a standard room that was falling apart. Ad states free breakfast but they failed to update ad as restaurant is no longer there. Door would not lock and bathroom door would not even shut. Horrible place should be condemned

Stayed at the Executive for a hunting trip. Staff was great. Location was perfect for us. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. We stayed in the kitchen suite. Cooking and clean up supplies were limited. Be prepared to bring your own utensils. No biggie.

The A.C. didnt work the room was dirty. Parking was limited due to road at motel.

It’s a dated hotel, no frills no thrills you know it’s one of those things. You just need a roof over your head for the night. There was no bugs or pests. Everything was clean and served its purpose free Wi-Fi. I know it may be hit or miss with other rooms but the room I had this time was really good.

Check in was very easy and gracious. I was skeptical but my room was very nice. Great water pressure and hot water. The only negative was the tv was too small but had many channels. Safe parking for our bikes.

It appears that they tried to update the room but when I adjusted the shower head it blew apart in my hand, there was no breakfast, and the cable tv didn't work. Not to mention the long check in time but it was close to the federal penitentiary so it makes visit convenient the air wored very well after the room got cooled down. The bed was comfortable but cleanliness was questionable, space is priced right for convenience

Very nice room especially for the price. My wife and I enjoyed our stay. We even got to bring our fur Baby for only $10 extra.

This hotel should be inspected by the health department the rooms are unsanitary smell of mold. Sheets were not clean the room was generally dirty the dirt in the HVAC system was disgusting. I had to leave the hotel and find a new place to stay. I am filing for a full refund.

Dirty. Blood stains on furniture, don’t vacuum under bed, didn’t clean objects linens and towels weren’t clean!

The entire hotel is one big serious health code violation!!! Please DO NOT book here! The mold was enough to make you extremely sick! They tried to cover/hide it with cleaning products. -mold on bed/furniture -standing water in bathroom -broken glass in closet -loose fake fingernails strewn about -alcohol bottle chucked under a chair -no towels, toilet paper, etc. -a/c blew moldy air in room -everything was flight to touch -coffee supplies all unpackaged and sitting on sink (we didn't touch them) Do yourself a favor and do not book your stay here!!! The building should be completely condemned!

Room needed a deep cleaning of the carpet and bathroom.

Very scary, we arrived after dark...had cockroaches in room and bed bugs. Very sketchy place, but the did return our money, we were not there 5 minutes!

No toilet paper had to buy our own, had to ask for towels and they seemed inconvenienced to get them for us, so we bought some at Walmart. Reserved 2 Queen room and only got 2 full beds. The sheet had a stain on them. Price was cheap and it worked for what we needed just not what we thought we were getting.

The tv didn't work. Loud music playing late at night, dirty, phone didnt work to call front desk to complain about music. The smoke detector was in a bag hanging from the ceiling.

The room was musty smelling, used bath towel on the floor behind door in bathroom. I want a refund because we didn’t even stay here!

The room was full of cockroaches the first one he used the excuse that the room had been locked up for a long time so he moved us to another building and in that building the drain was falling out the shelves on the walls were falling off the paper was peeling off the walls we still tried to suffer through it cuz he was not going to give us our money back woke up at 5:00 in the morning listening to them bang and carry on next door which is him and his family we had to hunt him down to get towels and he gave us three small towels for three people and did not take the garbage out of our room he pointed at the dumpster across the parking lot and says I was taking across the parking lot throw it away he didn't clean the room the entire time we was there we had a five nights I'm finally the third day I woke up to sing another cockroach on the wall so we packed up our stuff and we were going to leave we asked him if he could at least have a decency to refund us for the last two nights because seriously the rooms falling apart and there's bugs in it he refused he's very rude to women and the place is should be shut down it's disgusting. Because of that nasty place we had to spend the night in a laundromat washing our stuff and cleaning yourself to make sure none of his cockroaches tried coming home with us again avoid this place at all cost is disgusting

First off the first man that checked me didn’t understand I word I said and charged me for two rooms when I wanted one room with 2 beds like my reservation stated. Next we get to our room. The deadbolt is GONE and covered with duct tape, the door handle wasn’t set so it wiggles, smoke detector hanging from ceiling and there were no light shades to the lamps. I check out and other man, I think a manager tells me a refund is not possible and follows me out to my truck. Where I have my 19 year daughter. He was BEGGING for us to stay. Freaked my daughter out. Why would any place give a woman and her daughter a room with two locks that don’t work properly? I wasn’t expecting the Ritz, but I did expect to be safe.

Budget friendly. Rooms could be updated.

Check in process was a little slow, but the hotel was just what I needed for a weekend of hunting. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and had decent pressure. Overall, it was clean and worth the price.

The room I originally reserved was rented out to someone else. Then was told I’d get a discount in the new room which I didn’t receive.

Lock on the room was broken. Guy at the counter was a dick and the room I reserved a week in advanced wasn’t even available for me when I got there. 2 towels in the room and one roll of toilet paper. Will absolutely never stay there again or recommend it to anyone

This place should be taken off the roster of Hotels.com. Check in was terrible. They had no record of my reservation- which was pre-paid. They made me sign another credit card invoice which I later noticed was not my card at all. There was garbage in the garbage pail when we walked into the room. At least the sheets were clean, but the rest of the room was not. This was non- smoking but you could clearly smell smoke in the bathroom. The walls were paper thin so we had to listen to the constant drone of evangelical television coming from the room next door. Altogether an unpleasant stay.

I liked the ease of checking in and out. The room was clean and had a working jet tub with ahandle bar to help get in and out. Was a good price for our stay with friends who had campers locally. It had all the needed amenities.

It served its purpose, would have liked to know before booking that there was a prison right behind it. Did have a strong smell but otherwise satisfactory.

Quaint little place on highway 84, close to a grocery store.

I've stayed at the executive inn many times over the years while fishing bass tournaments on the Mississippi River. It's a no frills motel at a reasonable price. For fisherman it's a good place to get some rest and take a shower. Restaurants and facilities can be found in nearby towns.

Nice quiet area peaceful driveway into the Inn needed some work would stay there again

Nice little spot. Easy access to other towns in the area. It has its own little charm.

The Motel is in a rural area. Nothing around but road and rural houses. This is the 2nd time we stayed here, price is right and convenient to a music ampitheater we enjoy in Mt. Caroll.
