Beautiful hotel / resort 15 mins from Dubrovnik old town. The apartment we stayed in was stunning - 2 bedrooms, big kitchen/lounge, and two balcony areas. Pool area is great. Gym facilities amazing. Lots of dining options within the complex. 9/10 from us.

Fantastic hotel with great rooms/ great service and fabulous views. Multiple restaurants and great service by the pool and the beach with cocktails and food. Sport centre is great and we used the tennis courts and pool tables but also two gyms, full Spa , table tennis , boules and many other activities in the sports centre. Location is excellent and quite just a short ride into Dubrovnik. Breakfast is excellent with a wide choice. Highly recommend. Marko on the front desk was a complete star - always smiling, informative and made our stay perfect. 5stars 👏

Amazing hotel, great food friendly staff, clean. Perfect holiday for any age. 3 large pools with bars 2 with children’s pool, plenty of sun beds ect. Pebbled beach with sun beds & bar just a short walk down from the hotel. 5 restaurants all different. Wonderful Spa. Great breakfast choices. Lovely bar in the hotel & amazing views. Shops, supermarket children’s clubs & much more. Nothing is too much trouble. My husband & I had an amazing holiday.

A lovely higher end property with relaxing pools and away from the hustle and bustle. Our villa was very large, with all the amenities. The adult pool was absolutely perfect and you never had to fight for a chair. The view of the sea was beautiful. The only thing we noticed was the number of stairs to go everywhere. If you are in the villas, you will undoubtedly have lots of stairs to go everywhere. This could be a challenge for some individuals.

The view right on the Adriatic is beautiful! The only thing I didn't like is that none of the pools are heated, and the location is about 20 minutes from the Old City.

Food was incredible - the themed summer dinners were so fun and had a beautiful view of the ocean - the entertainment was great - lots of places to relax by pool or sea - spa is a treat and you can utilize the wet areas whether you book a service or not - definitely recommend one of the residences especially if you have a car - we enjoyed being able to make eggs in the morning and relax on the patio with coffees - my sister was traveling with us and it was nice to have the living room and dining table to hang out and not feel crowded - amenities and rooms are top!

This property is almost excellent. For me it is lacking from the top top hotels in a few areas. The food is good but far from great , the staff by the pools are not overly helpful and for me there are simply too many stairs. The lifts in our building were broken.

This is our favorite hotel in Dubrovnik surroundings. Staff is always friendly, professional and welcoming. Hotel is very clean, beach is wonderful for swimming and relaxing. So many pools. No matter how busy hotel is, you always can find available loungers and beach towels. Spa facility is huge. You don’t need to book service to enjoy saunas or pool.Its very nice place to stroll in evening on the main path surrounded by several restaurants. We tried all of them and several times. In summer we appreciate theme nights. Our favorite is Croatian.We tried seabass baked in salt. Was the best meal of our vacation. Dinner spread is anonymous, can please anyone. Rooms are specious and very comfortable. Bell boys always there to assist you with luggage’s or parking. Thank you Sun gardens for your excellent delivered hospitality.

It was an amazing stay. The hotel was great, rooms are spacious and super clean. The indoor and outdoor pools were great and my son had a lot of fun. We will def come back in the future whenever we visit Croatia again

Service was good, but below what I would expect from 5 star rating. Check in progress felt disorganized and plus the process of getting our luggage to the destination room. Also the room is we just ok, mildew in shower. Given the distance to Old Town (25 mins), challenging getting Uber on trip, I had at least 2 drivers cancel before 1 would complete the trip.

The cleaning was not well coordinated. When we came back to the room around lunchtime, the room had not been cleaned or bed made. So we were eating lunch and relaxing when staff arrived. On one occassion, we saw the staff in the corridor and asked them to clean. There could have been more in the way of a welcome pack. For example, some ground coffee, milk, etc

Sun Gardens Dubrovnik was an amazing resort. Probably one of the best we have stayed at recently. The hotel staff was exceptional. The resort was very clean inside and outside. We requested pick-up to & from the airport via the resort for an added cost, which was worth it once we landed and did not have to figure out how to get from the airport to the resort. The resort also has shuttle into old city of Dubrovnik for a small fee, 8€ per person but need to schedule ahead of time. There are several onsite restaurants, a small grocery store, onsite parking available. The resort also offered a kids club and had one of the best fitness centers. We added the breakfast each day, which absolutely did not disappoint and had one of the best breakfast spreads offered. The only suggestion I would make, is maybe for resort to post a sign at the top of the Adult pool letting guests know it is the adult pool for 16 yrs & older. A couple families came to the adult pool not realizing it was the adult pool. Overall, it is a well maintained resort with very friendly hotel staff and would definitely come back again. Thank you for a wonderful first time experience!

Enjoyed the property very much. They have plenty of restaurants for you to enjoy. Access to the Adriatic Sea is part of the property and even though the water is cold this time of the year there were plenty of folks walking in the shallows. If you have kids their playground is nice and has a phenomenal view for the parents to enjoy. The indoor pool/spa facilities are very nice and clean. Very much enjoyed the property for the week we were here. The rooms are spacious and clean and having a balcony to sit and enjoy the sunsets. Highly recommend this property.

A complete refit and re style to bring it to what uk guests expect from 5 star location next to the sea and private coves fabulous but their PR photos are not of this property or if they are they were from decades ago when first built. So mis keading. What a shame whoever owns this hotel they need to invest so the staff can be proud and the guests can be wowed As location can only carry a hotel so far. But thank you to the staff who made the holiday

The hotel area is really big and the beach was excellent! The villa rooms are big, comfortable and has all kitchen appliances. Only hd a problem with smell of mold in the lower floor of the room which was partially solved with ac cleaning but we still had the bad smell and nobody was in touch again to verify if it was ok. I requested a room change even for a smaller one but there were no rooms available. I consider a good stay overall, but I don’t think that I would stay again due to the lack of flexibility.

This is our favorite hotel in Dubrovnik surroundings. Staff is always friendly, professional and welcoming. Hotel is very clean, beach is wonderful for swimming and relaxing. So many pools. No matter how busy hotel is, you always can find available loungers and beach towels. Spa facility is huge. Beautiful hotel / resort 15 mins from Dubrovnik old town. The apartment we stayed in was stunning - 2 bedrooms, big kitchen/lounge, and two balcony areas. Pool area is great. Gym facilities amazing. Lots of dining options within the complex. 9/10 from us.

YThe property has every hotel amenity you could ask for along with an expansive buffet breakfast. The only downside was with their room setup which there was clear glass separating the bedroom from the bathtub with a shade that can be opened from the bedroom. Also the bathroom doors did not lock

Wow!! What an amazing place. Beautiful location on the Adriatic. Beach, multiple pools and great restaurants. Expect luxury prices. The sea view residence room we had was ideal for our family of 3. Hotel arranges transport into Dubrovnik (book ahead). We also drove in (parking is a pain) and took Uber. Great spot for some R&R to sightseeing.

The property is fairly new or recently renovated, rooms are very clean, view from the balcony is amazing, the sauna is a must to try, many restaurants, food was ok, not the best, personnel is very kind and attentive, room service is very good. The hotel is outside the city, you need a bus, uber or boat ride to get to the old town

We stayed in the Residences Garden, it was a fantastic apartment with living room, dining table and kitchen, 1 bedroom and 1 big bathroom. We had a balcony with table and sunbeds accesible from the bedroom and the dining space. Everything was perfectly clean and we had everything we need to spend a lovely and comfy stay. The resort is absolutely amazing, several pools including one for adults only, big spa, big sport center, the private beach is great, several restaurants. It's more than what we expected. We definitely recommend it and we'll come back.

Location is great, right on the beach. Good service and clean rooms, however the interior and decor of both the rooms and common areas are quite dated. The largest downside is the restaurants. They are very overpriced, and quality is low. Pasta dishes costs close to 30 EUR, and taste like they were made in a student's kitchen only with prefabricated goods. There are no alternatives nearby outside the hotel, so you're stuck with these restaurants only.

Absolutely beautiful 5* hotel, lovely rooms with a sea view, great beach & 2 main family swimming pools (1 for adults only), fantastic Spa with different saunas & steam rooms. Great breakfast with lots of options. The staff were lovely and helpful. It's a small thing but the beds or perhaps pillows didn't provide a comfortable nights sleep for me personally. The cost of eating at the hotel is very expensive (cocktails are reasonable!), with most meals for 3 costing c.100 EUR, we realised a bit late that the poolside meals are a little less expensive. Some of the restaurants won't provide tap water, despite the hotel's commitment to sustainability - it seems a no brainer to offer tap water, especially as Croatian water is one of the best in Europe. Another issue around sustainability is the cost of the shuttle bus provided by the hotel - as a family it's substantially cheaper (and easier) to get a taxi into the town, it's a 25 minute drive so the hotel is a reasonable distance from the town. Overall though we had a lovely time and I would recommend this hotel.

The room was spacious and modern. The property was very large, with several pools and restaurants on site. The surprise was the free spa facilities, which we took full advantage of during our stay. The beach was beautiful with plenty of chairs and umbrellas during high season. My only complaint is that it was expensive to go anywhere as it is far from everything, including old town Dubrovnik.

Marina at the front desk was incredible! In fact everyone from the front desk to the door & room service were exceptional. Emma (Happy Birthday) at the concierge service arranged dinner’s & adventures for us. The place is beautiful, staff is friendly as well. High class all around. Highly recommend

Service was good, but below what I would expect from 5 star rating. Check in progress felt disorganized and plus the process of getting our luggage to the destination room. Also the room is we just ok, mildew in shower. Given the distance to Old Town (25 mins), challenging getting Uber on trip, I had at least 2 drivers cancel before 1 would complete the trip.

We had to make a big deal to get an upgrade. The person at the front desk tried very hard, assuring us that there were no available rooms for the upgrade. When we spoke with her supervisor, we found out that this was not the case. In addition, speaking with the cleaning personnel, they confirmed that there were plenty of superior rooms available. It is not fair that this is used to concrete a sale, but then disregarded at the point of check in

Amazing stay at Sun Gardens for our anniversary. It is a "resort" with all that entails, but we never felt that it was ever too crowded. Staff was great. Use the concierge services, they are v helpful. We splurged for a club level room, which I would recommend. You can take your breakfasts on a roof top balcony and have access to a club lounge all day. The facilities were great. This was a great place for us, as it was v peaceful and relaxing-away from tourist crowds in Dubrovnik. But close enough that we could get into Dubrovnik for nice meals. The only downside to Sun Gardens is that the food is not great. Breakfasts are gery good. But the rest of the food does not really match a resort of this caliber. We went into town and had a couple of amazing meals, so its was not a big deal to us.

We visited Sun Gardens and enjoyed our stay. Lovely atmosphere and views were stunning. What we did not like was there were not enough ramps( we have a 1 year old baby with pushchair) So we would have to hold the pushchair up and down the stairs) Unfortunately our flight was cancelled and that was the afternoon we were checking out. We felt the staff could have been a little more helpful assisting us on where we could stay etc But felt a little let down by the lack of help at the end. Overall we had a lovely stay.

Everything was wonderful at Sun Gardens, the staff, the restaurants, the views!! You cannot walk to anywhere outside of the hotel, which for us was unfortunate, always having to take taxis but there is plenty to do within the hotel & there are shuttle services to Dubrovnik throughout the day. The pool & beach areas are all great! All in all we loved staying here

Hotel is a little secluded which we knew,transportation from hotel shuttle was just a couple of times which is not very convenient especially when paying for the service, uber was cheaper and more convenient. The breakfast was exceptionally good,views, service and quality of food its a pity i couldn't say that about the rest of the hotels restaurants which i felt over priced for what was on offer.

This is an excellent hotel, five star quality. The views are spectacular, the private beach and pools are all really nice, good spa facilities, excellent breakfast and food. This is a unique hotel in a spectacular location. The only downside is it's a £20 cab ride into the centre of Dubrovnik but we could cope with that. You can also get a bus, which run every couple of days hours.

Fantastisk opphold og hotellet og service var flott. Men prisene på mat, drikke etc var latterlig høye. Over 5 euro for en cola ved bassenget f eks, og en middag for to kom aldri under 150 euro, kun hovedrett, dessert og ett glass vin pr person. I matbutikken på hotellområdet som tilhørte leilighetene kostet det 22 euro for 12 medium størrelse flasker vann og 7 euro for Pringles eller en sjokoladeplate. Untatt det var det er nydelig opphold, men dette har vi ikke råd til igjen.

All of the service staff are great, can’t do enough for you. The pool areas and beach are lovely with plenty of sunbeds. There are dining options on site which are all pretty average but passable. Bear in mind that after 10pm there is literally nothing to do. One bar stays open until midnight but it has all of the charisma of an airport lounge. Quite far out from Dubrovnik town, about a 25 min car journey each way.

A fabulous resort with amazing rooms and facilities. The spa and sports facilities are excellent and the beach and pools are immaculate. There was something for everyone. The staff were so friendly and helpful, service at its best and the Croatian culture is very warm, kind and friendly. On site facilities such as the spa and restaurants were expensive but of a high quality. We had a wonderful stay, thank you.

Sun Gardens is a world class resort. Everything is first class. There are several excellent dining options. We particularly enjoyed the Veranda Restaurant and the Market Restaurant.

We stayed at this hotel during our visit to Dubrovnik and loved the hotel. We stayed in the club room which was very nice and the view was absolutely amazing. We had access to the club lounge between the hours of 11am to 11pm which was really handy. The pool facilities were great there was alot of options to choose from as well as the beach being on the doorstep. There were good choices of the restaurants. I highly recommend the wellington as that was amazing. The pasta restaurant was not great to be honest I found it bland and very oily. Cilantro was a great restaurant also with plenty of options and all the restaurants had kids meals which was really helpful. Its a great hotel to stay at with kids. They also offer spa treatments for kids and I have to say I had one of the best facials in my life it was great and highly recommend the deep cleansing facial. The staff was amazing and really friendly. It was our daughter birthday during our stay and they did everything to make it special for her. My only criticism would be that the hotel should offer late checkout prior, as we had to switch rooms for the late checkout, but they did accommodate us. The hotel offers loads of events, however we were not able to attend and found it to be a bit pricey considering how much we already spent to stay at the hotel. The cost was only for food and it was not clear what the cuisine was during those events. I feel they could add this information on their app. Overall we loved it here!

Absolutely beautiful 5* hotel, lovely rooms with a sea view, great beach & 2 main family swimming pools (1 for adults only), fantastic Spa with different saunas & steam rooms. Great breakfast with lots of options. The staff were lovely and helpful. It's a small thing but the beds or perhaps pillows didn't provide a comfortable nights sleep for me personally. The cost of eating at the hotel is very expensive (cocktails are reasonable!), with most meals for 3 costing c.100 EUR, we realised a bit late that the poolside meals are a little less expensive. Some of the restaurants won't provide tap water, despite the hotel's commitment to sustainability - it seems a no brainer to offer tap water, especially as Croatian water is one of the best in Europe. Another issue around sustainability is the cost of the shuttle bus provided by the hotel - as a family it's substantially cheaper (and easier) to get a taxi into the town, it's a 25 minute drive so the hotel is a reasonable distance from the town. Overall though we had a lovely time and I would recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay with absolutely stunning views. The hotel offers a beautiful, wide panoramic view of the sea and the peninsula. The reception staff were friendly. We stayed in a Garden View Residence, a spacious two-story residence that was very comfortable for our family. On the entrance level, there was a kitchen, a WC, and a large, comfortable sofa bed that had already been prepared for our 5.5-year-old child. Upstairs, there was a bright bathroom and bedroom and two balconies in total. The only area where the room could benefit from an update is the interior design. The beds, curtains, and carpets felt a little outdated compared with the overall quality and beautiful setting of the hotel. More contemporary furnishings would suit the property very well. We also found the bathroom faucet unusually low and close to the sink, making it slightly uncomfortable to wash your hands. A taller faucet with more clearance would be a worthwhile improvement. Breakfast was excellent, with a very wide and delicious selection. The waitstaff were always attentive and kind. The beach is lovely, with pebbles, sunbeds, and towels provided. The sea was crystal clear and beautiful, although generally wavy during our stay. We also enjoyed the food and were very happy with the à la carte restaurants, everything we tried was delicious. We would happily recommend it. Thank you for a lovely stay!
