Accueil froid et non professionnel à l'arrivée. Le personnel a fait semblant de nous ignorer, nous a fait attendre plus de 15 min les valises au pied sans nous adresser la parole. Acune place de parking sur le site de l'hôtel ou dans la rue, avons dû nous garer dans un parking payant et trainer nos valises sur plus de 500m. Chambre propre, située dans les combles (2ieme étage), accès au lit coté fenetre dangereux du fait de la pente du toit, accessibilité à la chambre difficile vu la configuration des portes, pas d'ascenseur, forte odeur à moisi dans la cage d'escalier. Booked twin room for 6th September for my sister & I to stay after a day hill walking. Booked through Hotels.com & don't recall seeing any mention of live music in the bar on Saturdays. When we checked in at the bar around 4pm the young man kindly offered to take our bags to our room which was a lovely touch. He said we were last to check in. What he didn't tell us though was that our room (2) was directly above the bar so would be very noisy 9-midnight. Would have been nice to have known. We were also not asked if we planned to eat in the bar or told it was going to be busy or advised to book a table. Around 5pm we went to the bar for drinks. A couple came in to ask for a table for dinner. They were standing beside us & told the member of bar staff that they hadn't booked but they were given menus & shown to a table. My sister then asked the same bar staff member if we could get a table to eat. We were told no as they were full (there were several tables empty). We booked a table for 7.45pm elsewhere & remained in the bar for the next 1.5 hrs having drinks. In that time only 2 tables arrived. At times the 3 bar staff were just standing chatting or blowing up balloons for a birthday party which still hadn't arrived by the time we left. I've worked in hospitality for over 20 years & found this very disappointing in terms of service. The lady who we spoke to at breakfast was very nice and did apologise for the music.

Parking was about two blocks away. Like many properties you need to carry your suitcases upstairs. The room was very warm despite the window being open. There was quite a bit of noise outside in the hallway. The waitress in the restaurant and the breakfast server were attentive. They have a nice self serve continental breakfast.

Lovely old building in centre of Callander. Easy check in at bar. Spotlessly clean bedroom with comfy bed and nice touch is complimentary bottled water and toiletries. Self serve continental breakfast was excellent with a great choice of cereals, yogurts, muffins, flapjacks and toast. Staff were all lovely and welcoming. There is a Car park less than 5 mins walk away and costs £4.50 per day from 8.45 -17.30 so 'free' after that and we walked round at 8.40 the next morning to pay for another day.Would highly recommended The Crown as a great place to stay. Basic pub/hotel with comfortable bed, great shower and basic self service breakfast, dinner in the bar was fine and reasonably priced. Plenty of on street parking and near two pay and display car park. Good value for money

We parked in the main Callander carpark for £4.50 for 24 hours which was really close to Crown.Crown on Main Street so easy to walk to anywhere in Callander from there On arrival everyone was friendly . Room spotless and cool.Nice view of hills . Able to book at table for the band which was right near bar which was great .Bar staff really friendly and helpful and the band was great . Really nice friendly atmosphere and handy to just walk upstairs to bed . Continental breakfast nice . Have booked to go back at New year Lovely stay would defo recommend

Everything would be good if me and my mom weren’t staying here on a Saturday night! I wasn’t aware while booking that there’s a live music in the pub downstairs until 00:30, and then they still played loud music from speakers. My elder mom couldn’t sleep until 1am, and we had to wake up early. When I pay 90£ for a hotel I’d expect that at least I can get some rest there!

Stayed for 2 nights with my friend as a wee relaxing getaway. Our room was perfect, spotless and very well equipped. The highlight for us was the staff and the bar/food downstairs in the pub. When we checked in Heather (aka tank girl) showed us to our room, was super helpful explaining everything and showing the breakfast room. Later we spent the Friday evening in the bar, ordered food and it was delicious. Everyone was so friendly, Alex behind the bar, Kieran and Heather and the local regulars aswell. We were made to feel very very welcome. Saturday night had live music and although we didn't stop in to see the band from what we could hear they were brilliant. Although we could hear the music, it wasn't too loud in our room that it disturbed us at all. Breakfast is continental only, however the choice of cereals, juices and hot drinks was brilliant. Everything was a help yourself system with toasters and a fridge for milk and yogurts, with individually wrapped pastries and muffins available aswell. I cannot recommend The Crown Hotel highly enough, every single part of our stay was fantastic, and made 100% better by the staff and customers. Thank you everyone who made us feel so welcome.

Ageing decor and grubby en suite. Not the country pub feel we were expecting. Went and found somewhere else!! They enquired why we had left but no refund was offered.

Overnight stay on Mary Queen of Scots Way. Nice , clean room. Warm, effective shower. Great good and beer in the bar below. Welcoming , friendly staff. Great buffet breakfast

Nice friendly atmosphere. Room was small but very clean with a nice clean bathroom. Room lovely and warm, just what you need for Scotland in January. Nice bar downstairs.

We stayed in room 6 which was clean and comfortable with a comfy bed, room was warm when we returned back. Check out was 11am, breakfast room was lovely, great choice of continental breakfast from cereal, toast to croissants and pain au chocolates, tea and coffee. Will definitely be back

Stayed for 2 nights with my friend as a wee relaxing getaway. Our room was perfect, spotless and very well equipped. The highlight for us was the staff and the bar/food downstairs in the pub. Hotel is within 5 minutes walk to several popular hiking paths. Fantastic hotel In Callander, amazing restaurant, and super friendly staff!!!

Everything and everyone was great. We drank at the pub, ate in the dining room (Fish and Chips and the Tortalinni were fantastic) and we stayed in a room upstairs. Lots of options in town, but we were never disappointed at The Crown. We did splurge for treat at the bakery and it was very, very good as well. Lots of shopping and things to do walking up and down the main street. The Crown and the town of Callander offer everything you could want as a tourist!

Callander is a lovely town close to the lochs and we slept well

Instructions for the TV would have been helpful. Toilet pan was very tight next to the towel rail. Drinks were a bit pricey. Other than that we had a pleasant stay.
