From check-in onward, not a single smile — just cold, dismissive, and sometimes outright aggressive behavior. Every interaction felt like an inconvenience to them. One night we were locked out after 10 PM, and there was no one at the front desk. When we called for help, the person on the phone was hostile and shouting, making the situation even more stressful. Instead of assisting calmly, he directed us to a janitor’s closet containing a master key that opens all rooms — a major security concern. Also, this is not a real hotel. It functions more like a residence with no overnight service, no concierge, and limited support. This was never made clear when booking. Other practical issues: • 500 steep steps to the beach – not accessible for elderly or people with mobility issues. • No street parking, and garage nearby charges €30 per night. • Located on a busy road, so crossing with kids felt unsafe. ✅ Clean rooms, stunning views, and a peaceful beach. ❌ Terrible service, no professionalism, and poor communication. Super gelegen, direkt an der Hauptstraße - hier muss man aber bedenken das es laut ist von der Straße. Hat uns nicht so sehr gestört, da die Lage unschlagbar ist. Genügend Rollerparkplätze direkt vor der Unterkunft verfügbar, war auch sehr praktisch. Hatten einen kleinen seitlichen Balkon mit Meerblick. Zimmer war sauber und modern. Frühstück hatten wir 1x - muss man aber nicht unbedingt buchen, man bekommt 1 Minute zu Fuß einen leckeren Kaffee. Würde die Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen. Preis Leistung super in dieser Gegend!

The website promotes access to a private beach but it's only open during the summer. Transportation from and to the hotel is difficult. There was only one person working at the desk, no food or drinks available on site. They were rude and unhelpful. The room was clean but no coffee machine, no water and soap was limited. The only good thing was the view of the ocean and sleeping with the sound of the waves.

This property was not even close to being worth the cost per night. It’s a 20-30 min walk from downtown Amalfi (with no hotel provided transportation). Also, they make it look like the beach belongs to the hotel and it doesn’t, you have to pay for chairs even if you’re a hotel guest. Would highly recommend looking at a different hotel closer to town (if even it is a bit more pricy).

The place was much smaller than expected. Limited amenities. Parking was 40 eur and the walk to almafi was about 20 minutes. Easy to get bus back to hotel. Check in was through another attached hotel with different name and this wasn’t communicated to us so it made for great difficulty trying to find parking along road and walking to try and find hotel that wasn’t posted on the building apart from a piece of paper on the door. The view from the room was beautiful, but small terrace with no seating. The bed was 2 twins pushed together unfortunately and quite uncomfortable. Can find same affordability in other hotels in area that might be more suiting

It is a new and clean hotel with a stunning view. The beach is down the side of the cliff, at least 15 flights of stairs. The rooms are very clean and the beds are hard. Walk into town is along a narrow and busy street.

Un accueil médiocre et impolis. Hôtel très compliqué à identifier, en fait l'hôtel se nomme la Ninfa, la dimora del maestro c'est juste une affiche format A4 sur une porte extérieure. Établissement bruyant, ça c'est dans le jeux puisque accolé à la route. Le parking peut être très difficile.

The hotel seems to be merged with two other hotels, which was confusing cause we were given a room that was in a different complex (right in front of La Dimora del Maestro). The room looked nice at the check in, but we noticed some mold around the windows and in the bathroom. Also, we got short of some hot water during the evening. Overall we did not complain as we were staying only for one night.

We loved the location and view room. However, we had a lot of ants show up at night without there being food in the room. Staff came in within an hour to help clean them up.

Great location and amazing view. Amazing cleaning. Although reception is only until 22h staff was very cordial, nothing more. Superior room pictures in the Hotel.com website may belong to another superior room they have, but definitely wasn't the one that I've stayed... balcony was much smaller and no chair in the balcony. Also something a bit unhinged happened when I was there that took my sleep away the other days... The hotel has some doors directed to the street... First they I came back and went to the wrong door... The door opened with my key and somebody screamed... That wasn't my room... But it opened with my key... I apologized and went to the correct door... But stayed the hole stay with the feeling that other gest also could get into my room at anytime... Creepy!

Overall, the property was great and clean and the staff are friendly. If you are a walker or an avid exerciser, this place is perfect because it’s only a 20 minute walk down to the city centre in Amalfi.

We were double booked. When refused to pay for the second booking, they cancelled our original booking. We had to rebooked since my parents were staying in the same hotel. So they told us to rebook. When we did they charged us twice as much since we refused to pay for another room that was not booked. Location was decent. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Towels were changed everyday except hand towels. Our blanket was not cleaned. It had hair and dirt. I don’t think it was washed at all after previous client. AC made noise. They did bring breakfast to your room. Limited but good.

Hotel on the cliff overlooking Golfo di Salerno. Unbelievable view. Hotel is about 1 mile north of Amalfi citta’ centro. Walkable if you want to get some walking in. Otherwise, buses pass often as indicated from Pogerola or Sorrento to Amalfi. My only downside is I didn’t get the balcony as booked. If you want a breakfast buffet I suggest a bigger hotel.

Bait and switch. Read a review that this happened to someone else, well it happened to us too. Booked a Sea Front hotel off the cliff, received something much different and was told it was correct. Got room right by busy road with LOUD motorcycles all hours. They say they are there from 7am to 9pm, but the doors were closed and no one to talk to many times during open hours. This hotel is hard to get to from Almalfi. Taxi is $40-$50 USD to go 4 min drive. Bus system is iffy. Full or doesn't come. Must have bus tickets pre-purchased, so get a few. One ticket gets you 1 stop or all the way to Sarrono. We took the Farry and it was the best choice, reliable and pretty cheap. You can only plan to walk. With luggage this is an issue. Roads are narrow, so your life will be in question every step of your walk. I will never stay here again. Skip this one. If you go to Almalfi, plan on no more than 3 days??? Preplan activities, they are hard to book on location. There was one younger man who was helpful and polite. There is a good convenience store up the street that had cheap beer, wine and pastries. But you don't need to know that cuz you will read this and book elsewhere.

We were upgraded to a better room with large balcony. Great view excellent customer service. The bad 2 minutes of hot water in the shower. Thin walls you car here the next door guest breath aircon is not adequate uncomfortably warm u til after midnight when the temperature drops. 3 stars or maybe 2 also the bed comfort is 1 out to 5.

Super gelegen, direkt an der Hauptstraße - hier muss man aber bedenken das es laut ist von der Straße. Hat uns nicht so sehr gestört, da die Lage unschlagbar ist. Genügend Rollerparkplätze direkt vor der Unterkunft verfügbar, war auch sehr praktisch. Hatten einen kleinen seitlichen Balkon mit Meerblick. Zimmer war sauber und modern. Frühstück hatten wir 1x - muss man aber nicht unbedingt buchen, man bekommt 1 Minute zu Fuß einen leckeren Kaffee. Würde die Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen. Preis Leistung super in dieser Gegend!

Poor/wrong information about location and room amenities, walking distance to beach and Amalfi port is not correct, we walk from the port to the hotel uphill more then 17 minutes, (they won’t say is uphill walking distance) the beach is not 3 minute walk, there’s a private beach down stairs, about 20 minute to get back to the hotel from that beach. ( if you want a bed and umbrella is 40 Euro per person) Website photos of the room I stayed were not correct, there supposed to be a balcony with table and chairs, and there’s only a small balcony. All this things matter when you are on vacation and you booked weeks before this hotel. I contacted Expedia and they did nothing for me, I’m the customer, they gave priority to the hotel.

We booked the deluxe room with balcony/sea view facing but were put in a room with a balcony that you could not walk out to and the ceiling was so low in the room my 6’4 husband had to duck. The shower also wouldn’t drain and would spill out into the bathroom. After some consideration the management put us in a room with a real balcony for our last two nights and overall it was much larger. It was a nice location, not too far away from town for walking. The beds were definitely the worst part, so hard, pillows flat. We would stay here again because overall it was a good price and great view but not quite what we were expecting.

As an international tourist, I do not have WI-FI in my phone, I expected to have a Wi-Fi at the hotel but unfortunately, Wi-Fi service was really bad, connect and disconnect every few minutes. Please is good, staff are good, but no reception after 5pm to check in, so you need to self check which sometimes inconvenient in case you have question or need help with something.

Bait and switch. Read a review that this happened to someone else, well it happened to us too. Booked a Sea Front hotel off the cliff, received something much different and was told it was correct. Got room right by busy road with LOUD motorcycles all hours. They say they are there from 7am to 9pm, but the doors were closed and no one to talk to many times during open hours. This hotel is hard to get to from Almalfi. Taxi is $40-$50 USD to go 4 min drive. Bus system is iffy. Full or doesn't come. Must have bus tickets pre-purchased, so get a few. One ticket gets you 1 stop or all the way to Sarrono. We took the Farry and it was the best choice, reliable and pretty cheap. You can only plan to walk. With luggage this is an issue. Roads are narrow, so your life will be in question every step of your walk. I will never stay here again. Skip this one. If you go to Almalfi, plan on no more than 3 days??? Preplan activities, they are hard to book on location. There was one younger man who was helpful and polite. There is a good convenience store up the street that had cheap beer, wine and pastries. But you don't need to know that cuz you will read this and book elsewhere.

While the rooms were clean and the sea view was beautiful, our stay was completely overshadowed by the shockingly rude and unprofessional staff. From check-in onward, not a single smile — just cold, dismissive, and sometimes outright aggressive behavior. Every interaction felt like an inconvenience to them. One night we were locked out after 10 PM, and there was no one at the front desk. When we called for help, the person on the phone was hostile and shouting, making the situation even more stressful. Instead of assisting calmly, he directed us to a janitor’s closet containing a master key that opens all rooms — a major security concern. Also, this is not a real hotel. It functions more like a residence with no overnight service, no concierge, and limited support. This was never made clear when booking. Around 1.5 km from Amalfi city centre. There is a bus stop outside the property. The view is unbelievable. Go for balcony or sea view room. The hotel personnel Anna, Marco and Maurizio are so friendly and kind. We chatted with Anna in Italian despite our broken Italian. I’ll come back again next year. Thank you.

The room was vwey clean and generally everything was good except one obnoxious property male employee who was borderline rude from veey beginning and completely out of line last day. We booked taxi service the evening prior to check out. I followed up in the morning again and fully paid for taxi service to the port. However 45min later taxi never arrived and we were late to the farry andntp the airport. When I asked that obnoxious employee for a refund, he told me they don't give refunds for taxi in Italy and its not his problem the taxi didn't arrive. LITERALLY! COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!

Great location and amazing view. Amazing cleaning. Although reception is only until 22h staff was very cordial, nothing more. Superior room pictures in the Hotel.com website may belong to another superior room they have, but definitely wasn't the one that I've stayed... balcony was much smaller and no chair in the balcony. Also something a bit unhinged happened when I was there that took my sleep away the other days... The hotel has some doors directed to the street... First they I came back and went to the wrong door... The door opened with my key and somebody screamed... That wasn't my room... But it opened with my key... I apologized and went to the correct door... But stayed the hole stay with the feeling that other gest also could get into my room at anytime... Creepy!

The staff was amazing! Very simple check in, we had breakfast at our door every morning, everyone was very nice and helpful! The room was very clean, amazing views, not far from the city centre!

Hotel on the cliff overlooking Golfo di Salerno. Unbelievable view. Hotel is about 1 mile north of Amalfi citta’ centro. Walkable if you want to get some walking in. Otherwise, buses pass often as indicated from Pogerola or Sorrento to Amalfi. My only downside is I didn’t get the balcony as booked. If you want a breakfast buffet I suggest a bigger hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay here - the view is incredible and you are right on the edge of the cliff! Going to town is a 20-30 minute walk so not too bad by the views are worth being out of Amalfi a bit! Highly recommend :)

Overall, the property was great and clean and the staff are friendly. If you are a walker or an avid exerciser, this place is perfect because it’s only a 20 minute walk down to the city centre in Amalfi.

The property is outside of Amalfi Town and is all uphill, you will need to catch a bus which is always crowded. Taxis are expensive and the road is very busy and very noisy. The rooms are also smaller than expected. You will need to work out the air con and TV as no instructions supplied and there is no tea or coffee. The upside is that the view from the room is spectacular

Un accueil médiocre et impolis. Hôtel très compliqué à identifier, en fait l'hôtel se nomme la Ninfa, la dimora del maestro c'est juste une affiche format A4 sur une porte extérieure. Établissement bruyant, ça c'est dans le jeux puisque accolé à la route. Le parking peut être très difficile.

The website promotes access to a private beach but it's only open during the summer. Transportation from and to the hotel is difficult. There was only one person working at the desk, no food or drinks available on site. They were rude and unhelpful. The room was clean but no coffee machine, no water and soap was limited. The only good thing was the view of the ocean and sleeping with the sound of the waves.

The view from balcony was breathtaking! Breakfast in room, eaten on balcony was wonderful! Easy to walk to town. Access to public beach with feet of room! Down hill stairs to beach but worth every step up!

Excelente habitación, cómoda y la vista al mar es inigualable. El servicio de desayuno a la habitación por solo 10 euros es fabuloso, muy rico y variado. De verdad recomiendo este hotel, que aunque está a a 15 minutos caminando del centro de Amalfi, a mi en lo personal, me pareció una muy buen opción. Por favor tengan en cuenta que el diste de transporte de autobús en toda la costa amalfitana es terrible. No hay horarios fijos de salidas de autobús no tampoco venden los boletos en un mismo lugar; todos los días cambian. Hay que preguntar bastante.

We were double booked. When refused to pay for the second booking, they cancelled our original booking. We had to rebooked since my parents were staying in the same hotel. So they told us to rebook. When we did they charged us twice as much since we refused to pay for another room that was not booked. Location was decent. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Towels were changed everyday except hand towels. Our blanket was not cleaned. It had hair and dirt. I don’t think it was washed at all after previous client. AC made noise. They did bring breakfast to your room. Limited but good.

The views were beautiful and the room was clean, breakfast was adequate. However the aircond was not cold enough and it makes the most horrible noise we could barely sleep. I had to use my hand fan to sleep. Plus during the night we had these small flying bugs that bit us and left very small itchy spots days after. The host did not help us with our large bags upon check in. Also, there is no way u can reach the center without walking down 20mins or take the extremely expensive cab, the public buses werent shown on Google Maps, the only way we knew was to arrive there itself and ask locals, on top of having to figure out the bus system yourself. I would not choose this hotel again if i’m back here.

Et lite og dyrt overnatting sted på høyden. Ingen fasilitet på stedet. Ekstremt mange trapper ned til stranden hvor eneste hensikten når du er nede er å flå deg for mest mulig penger. Dem skulle ha 70 euro for to solsenger enda vi kom sent på dagen. Parkering på stedet koster 30 euro per natt. Ingen frokost eller bar på overnatting stedet. Dette er ikke et hotell. Det går buss i gaten utenfor som er det mest positive med hele stedet som tar deg ned til Amalfi. Styr unna dette stedet.

This was an amazing stay! The room was clean and staff were very accommodating! The view from the room was immaculate, and probably its best feature! It is very walkable to the city core of Amalfi! Highly recommend!
