This is more like a serviced apartment than a hotel. If you want a reception that can help you with bookings and such, and daily cleaning, this is not the place for you. If you want a clean, larger than standard room with great amenities, and is fine with the concept of self-service, this is a great place. With that said, we did see the cleaners and someone at the reception every day, and could ask for towels and such. We had a standard room for three people, with 2 western style beds, and a sofa bed. There was space under the beds for two mid-sized suitcases, ca 70x50 cm. There were drawers, hangers and a few hooks on the walls. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious with a large shower. The washing machine was easy to operate and laundry detergent, and a small drying rack, was available. The kitchen has equipment for basic cooking/heating. The kettle came in handy for morning coffee. The area is very calm, but there's a SevenEleven around the corner for late night snacks, and some restaurants very close. It's also close to communications. If you want more restaurant options, there's a bustling food area a 10 minutes walk away towards Ueno station. There is luggage storage, but it's an unsupervised large cupboard with no locks. But if you bring/buy a padlock and a cable, or a simple bike lock, you can lock them to the shelfs. The only negative thing about this place was that the bed pillows were very flat, but it's a matter of preferences I guess.

The stay was excellent from start to finish. The room was clean and well-maintained, and all utensils and appliances were in great condition. The washer and dryer provided were especially convenient and made the stay even more comfortable. The staff made a good job for cleaning the room and prepared the bed.
