B&B Hotel Budapest City

The elevators were horrible! but otherwise for the price it was a fine hotel. A fine neutral breakfast, not very special but enough to start your day. The coffee machines need replacing! The staff was friendly and helpful.

Close to sightsee, the rooftop bar was amazing. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean.

We booked a deluxe twin room which had run out so we were put in a family room. That was fine, it would’ve been nice to have tea & coffee facilities in room as well as a mini fridge. My main complaint was that the rooftop terrace was closed, it’s such a prominent picture on the booking pages and we were really looking forward to having some drinks up there over looking the city, but there was nothing when I booked to say it was shut. Breakfast was basic but not the chaos some reviews would lead you to believe. Check in staff were very helpful and friendly. Amazing location

The hotel and staff are great. However, the rooftop bar wasn’t open (not advertised) the breakfast was ironically really limited and poor and no kettle etc in the room, which would have been nice. Good location, given the price (tram stop across the room) and some great bars/ facilities close by as it’s on the outskirts. Great find.

The only reason I marked it down slightly was the fact the sky bar had a function. We came back from our day early was to have a few drinks and watch the sun go down over Budapest.

The hotel was located next to a central mass transit connection that afforded easy access to all parts of the city. It was on the Pest side of the Petofi Hid (bridge) crossing the Danube River allowing easy access not only to the Pest side but walking access to the Buda side of the city, not to mention easy walking access to the park areas lining the Danube River and the Mupa performing arts complex just down river. It is also just far enough away from the central city tourist concentrations to allow you to experience authentic city culture while close enough to do the touristy things if you choose. Modern, well maintained property with comfortable and quiet rooms. Nice rooftop lounge area with a good view of the River. Good restaurant facility serving well stocked buffet breakfast and afternoon and evening meals.

I had a wonderful 5-night stay at this hotel. The room, buffet breakfast and staff were all brilliant at very reasonable price. Overlooking the Danube, the rooftop bar on the seventh floor was a great bonus. Many thanks to all the staff, and in particular those who served me beers on the rooftop bar while I watched the world go by. I would highly recommend this hotel if you plan to visit Budapest.

Yatak rahatti ancak nevresimde lekeler vardi. Temizlik ust duzey diyemem. Hergun banyo vs temizleniyor ama pencelerde orumcek aglari gordum. Isletme biraz detayli temizlige odaklanirsa cok daha basarili hale gelir.

Good value hotel within short walking distance to the tram that gets you into the main area. Check-in was a bit slow and the shower could do with more of a deep clean as there was mould in the grouting.

Chambre super belle, mais dommage qu'il ny a pas de bouteille d'eau ce qui est essentielle, et nous avons demandé a la femme de menage de changer nos serviette au debut, elle ne la pas fait, on était obligé de mettre les draps et serviette au sol pour que le menage soit fait, mais c'est superficielle.. L'emplacement est correct et le personnel est sympathique sauf une personne.. sinon je recommande cet hotel pour sa proximité, et merci a la receptionniste de nous avoir changé de chambre, car on avais trouvé la chambre sale et elle nous a changé directement de chambre c'est vraiment cool !

O hotel é muito bonito e até tem condições para ser melhor. No primeiro dia o pequeno almoço estava muito bom mas no segundo dia o pão que estavamos a comer era pão do dia anterior. As almofadas sem dúvida eram muito desconfortável e a limpeza é que foi o pior. Em menhum dos dias que lá estive os lençóis foram mudados, o quarto não foi aspirado e depois da passagem da senhora da limpeza ao quarto tivemos que pedir para ir limpar outra vez. A Casa de banho estava nojenta.

Very comfortable room, excellent bathroom, very clean. Free breakfast was fine for the price, as much as you could but not massive choice Reception staff very helpful. For the price, it was brilliant.

In den Bäder von drei Zimmern (wir haben mehrere besucht, nachdem das erste Bad schimmelig war) waren die Duschen/Fugen schimmelig. In einem Zimmer waren die Fussleisten lose und dahinter ebenfalls schimmelig. Der Eingangsbereich ist sehr modern, Frühstück und die Lage gut.

Good value for money, but noisy fridge and bathroom vent was enough to disturb your sleep.

Had a great stay at B&B Hotel Budapest City, Room was lovely, modern & clean. Staff were friendly and especially ZSolti, helping us and he did not stop especially at breakfast time, making sure everything was available 👍

Our room was super small. No place to put anything away, and that was a bummer. Basically lived out of our suitcase. It was also not in the best area.

Zimmer in Ordnung, wir mussten das Zimmer wechseln, da die Klimaanlage nicht ausging und die Lüftung im Bad extrem laut war. Sauberkeit i.O., man hat pro Person nur 1 Handtuch (kein separates fürs Hände abtrocknen o.Ä.), Frühstücksangebot sehr gering, Lage gut und man ist sehr schnell in der Stadt. Gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Skybar ist gut

Our room was really hot. We had an email asking if everything was ok and we let them know about it via this however nothing was done. By the time we got back to the hotel in the evening it was too late to start trying to sort it…we were tired and just wanted to sleep. It was minus 5 outside and we had to sleep with the window open listening to the traffic below because the fan was blowing out hot air even when we dropped the temperature to 16 degrees. Breakfast was basic but nice Good location, we walked into the city rather than using public transport.

Value for money hotel. Good for few days stay. Clean Rooms. Near the city center. Staff was polite and always ready to assist. Not a enough space for clothes and luggage.

Stayed for 3 nights with my daughter in a twin room. Nicely decorated very clean room. The rooms were very quiet - must have very good soundproofing. All the staff we encountered were great, always very helpful. Only minor downside, we didn’t find the breakfast choice that great. Hotel is minutes from river & about 10 mins to nearest metro line - trams & buses run from end of the road, so very easy to get around. Overall a great hotel that we would happily use again if we were visiting Budapest.

The hotel was clean & star very friendly, the only negative was there was no storage in the room, we had a triple room and we had a few hangers with limited hanging space & not shelves or draws, which was not great for 3 people.

There was one guy at the desk checking in a group of 30+ people. I was waiting for >45 minutes, multiple other staff members were there but they never opened another kiosk. Time your arrival carefully. Otherwise nice, quiet, clean. Though there was a persistent sulfurous smell in the bathroom. Breakfast was worthwhile

Check in takes quite a long time, limited amount of people at the desk, luggage storage basically anyone can walk in so not really that secure, room itself wasn’t bad as well as the location but no towels on check in, had to chase down room service for towels. Requested room service to change bed sheets etc but no room service was completed for the entire stay I was there, had to get spare towels from reception to use as new sheets, overall the room and location is good, but the service was pretty poor.

This hotel was OK, I wasn’t expecting much for the price that we paid. Firstly, we arrived 30 mins before check in and usually this is fine, but not at this hotel, they said we can only do check in at 2 pm. We came back exactly at 2pm and there were 8 people in front of us. We waited 45 mins to get to the front of the desk, as there was only 1 person serving. The rooms were very small (3 room service) and one thing to note is that they put a refrigerator by the end of the beds (next to the tv) where we had to be careful to walk by as we would (and we did) hit it and hurt ourselves as the edges were very sharp. There was no way to turn the air conditioning off, so this was always running and it didn’t help us to sleep properly. The location is ok, it’s a quiet area with good links to the city centre (30 mins walk to the city centre) 1 hour and so walk to the parliament. They’ve put us in a room above the entrance of the hotel, so we were awaken multiple times by the morning noise of guests and late a night by guests smoking near the entrance and partying there. Some staff were nice others not really. There are a lot of things to improve, but as I mentioned above - I wasn’t expecting much for the price that we paid. They should definitely improve in their customer service.

Wonderful staff, always there to help with a smile. The cleanliness and decor is very modern and I especially enjoyed the rooftop bar with it's excellent view. The food was excellent with a wide choice of items on the breakfast menu. Last but not least, the location is fantastic and within easy reach of all the sights. Will definitely stay here again.

Great experience overall. The room was nice, it had a smart t.v., location right next to metro & the staff was great. I accidentally booked one less day and when I went to add another day it was painless and they didn't make me switch rooms. Also the bar/ restaurant staff was so personalable. Right away we were helped by Ben and he gave us all the best tourist spots. Then another day we had another bartender named David and even though he didn't speak my English, he was so nice and funny. And tried his best to talk to us. Everything was great, would definitely come here again.

Excellent access onto the Number 2 and number 4 trams which take you where you need to be for the main sights. Staff were super friendly and we arrive 3h before check in and as our room was ready we could have access straight away. Luggage storage for day of departure too. Would definitely stay here again.

Rude reception staff on arrival, the room we were given had zero towels in it, the aircon didn’t work (the room felt like an oven) which by the way you have to ask reception to switch on every time you want it on, we had to change rooms due to the faulty aircon, again no towels! Over the course of our 3 day stay we had to ask for towels 3 times! The cleaners would take dirty ones and not replace with clean. The only good thing about the hotel is it’s roughly a 2/3 min walk to the tram.

Wednesday to Friday night break arrived by train from Vienna. Hotel had provided directions so short tram ride from railway station. Arrived early but as room was ready were able to check in. This accommodation has great public transport links to where ever we wanted to go either by bus, tram or metro, shops near by and close to the Danube riverside. Staff very helpful especially Romana who would write down all transport links we would need when we told her where we wanted to go. Found it easy to get around Budapest on public transport and local people very helpful and a lot of young people speak English. Has a rooftop bar a good view at night. We would stay here again if in Budapest this hotel is on the Pest side

Room was adequate and clean. Hotel is unfortunately abit far from Budapest city on foot but do able if you are not in a hurry to get anywhere and was physically capable, it’s not hard just far. If you know how uploading the bus/tram app would be advisable as there weren’t many ticket booths and you can’t buy from conductor. Breakfast was good and was included in the price of our room. I would still recommend the hotel especially good for the price

Es la segunda vez que nos hospedamos aquí y estamos muy contentos. La ubicación es muy buena, hay de todo cerca y los mejores restaurantes locales caminando.

Dejligt roligt hotel med fantastisk beliggenhed ift offentligt transport og god udsigt fra værelset. Fin morgenmad - brød og bacon kunne have været bedre. Venligt og hjælpsomt personale.

Very conveniently located next to a large transit hub, which made getting around easier. There are also many great restaurants and bars within an easy walk from the hotel. Overall, a very nice stay!

We had great access to local transit, groceries, a drug store, and restaurants. Staff were super helpful and the room was a nice size, modern, and clean. I'll definitely stay here again!!

Liked pretty much everything about this hotel! Location is great, good bus and tram links from interchange a few minutes walk away to get into city centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was quiet, clean with a very comfortable bed (I slept really well,) and the shower was really hot and powerful. My only complaint is breakfast. The quality and choice of hot and cold food was great, plenty of it and I didn't go hungry. But the restaurant area for the size of hotel is far too small, both mornings there was a long queue for the food and then nowhere to sit. Worst of all was the drinks area. Just two machines for hot water and coffee, very long queues to make drinks, had to wait 15 mins just to get juice and a coffee from the machine whilst my food that I'd had to queue 10 mins for went cold! Staff tried their very best to keep up but the lack of facilities let them down. Having said that, I would stay here again as the hotel is very good value, clean and quiet. Next time I'll bring my travel kettle and coffee and make a drink in my room!

Gutes, solides, sauberes, zentral gelegenes Hotel. Super fand ich die Tram und Metro gleich um die Ecke. Frühstück hätte ich mir mehr Auswahl gewünscht. War auch je nach Zeit ziemlich überlaufen. Wenig freie Plätze. Kaffee Automat war häufiger defekt und man bekam nur eine viertel Tasse voll ☹️

Breakfast limited so crowded

La chambre est confortable. Toutefois le suivi du ménage demandé est surprenant car il n'est pas forcemment respecté. Nous avons eu la surprise d'un ménage effectué alors que nous avions rien accroché à la poignée de la chambre pour faire le ménage et le cas contraire également. Le petit déjeuner est décevant car limité pour un hôtel de cette envergure. L'absence de produits bio est à signaler.

Decent clean modern hotel close to public transport and metro station, or a 30 minute walk to the main area of Budapest. Rooms are modern, seemed pretty quiet and well maintained. Breakfast was a bit of a let down, mainly due to overcrowding, and I mean severe overcrowding in the mornings, mainly between 7-8. Seating is hard to find at these times. Staff however did work hard to keep the flow of things. We would stay here again but maybe opt to eat out for breakfast at a local cafe

Habitaciones amplias y limpias. Desayuno bufet algo más de variedad estaría mejor pero la comida que había estaba buena. La ubicación a pesar de no estar en el centro tenía buena combinación para llegar.
