Bilderberg Château Holtmühle

Sehr schönes Hotel in einem Château. Gerade werden die Gänge und Zimmer mit Parkett neu ausgestattet, was manche Flügel nicht begehbar macht. Vom Baulärm ist fast nix zu hören. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist OK...man findet alles. Nach der Renovierung, die bis Ende September abgeschlossen sein soll, kommen wir wieder. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig und lad zum spazieren gehen ein.

Dit was ons 2de keer hier. En we kijken er weer naar uit om er de volgende keer weer te zijn als we hier in de buurt komen.

Der Stl des alten Gebäudes hat eine Ausstrahlung. Frühstück ist okay, Technik der Wärmepumpenheizung, Klimaanlage pro Raum, ist etwas störungsanfällig. Im Fitnessraum vermisste ich die Kurzhanteln, der Innenpool bietet eine gute Möglichkeit zur körperlichen Belastung

Hier fehlt es ein bisschen an Gemütlichkeit.Personal sehr freundlich, uns wurde sofort die Sauna eingeschaltet. Essen war gut aber nicht überragend und dem Preis nicht angemessen.Großes Zimmer mit Badewanne und Dusche. Leider war die Minibar defekt.Gutes Frühstück Fazit: Wir waren zufrieden,hatten uns aber etwas mehr erhofft.

Hôtel qui me rappelle vraiment le meilleur de la Hollande. Tout est si agréable et charmant. C’est ma troisième visite et nous y aimons l’atmosphère. La piscine est certes très petite mais heureusement souvent vide. Le petit-déjeuner propose des spécialités hollandaises mais pas d’œufs à la poêle.

Preis/Leistungsverhältnis schlecht! Ausstattung und Komfort der Zimmer nur mäßig. Alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen! Der Spa-Bereich ist gut bis auf die Armaturen (leckende Duschen!) Frühstück unverhältnismäßig teuer: 24,50 p.P.!

Dinner was marvelous. Breakfast, coffee, fruit terrible. Bed very comfortable. Water in the bathroom smelled moldy. Gym is a joke.

Friendly, caring, and responsive staff. Facility and grounds were kept. Steam room was too cool.

Das Hotel, unser Zimmer und das Personal waren hervorragend. Es gab Bademäntel und Schlappen im Zimmer, eine Kaffee- und Tee-Station mit Kaffeesahne, Zucker und Süßstoff, eine Flasche Wasser und zwei Äpfel und Rituals-Pflegeprodukte. Die Sauna und das Schwimmbad waren ausgezeichnet und ausreichend groß. Ich habe mich vollkommen wohl gefühlt. Ich würde jederzeit wieder hierher kommen.

Great stay in a very quiet and pleasant place. The room was very clean. Just 2 bad sides : 1/ the parking is a bit small and becomes an issue if you come in the evening. 2/ Be careful, between Christmas and NYE, the hotel restaurant is closing super early !

Wonderful dinner and dinner location. The interior of the rooms and hotel however is outdated and a bit kitsch. Almost all original features of the historic castle have disappeared and the style chosen for the interior or additional building does not match the beautiful and romantic exterior of the hotel. I would recommend some changes to the decor with some more real antiques or more modern art and colours on the walls. Also the carpet in the halls of the additioned building were very dirty. Breakfast was not great: especially the pancakes were clearly not freshly made, but bought.

Alles sehr schön bis auf den Teppichboden im Zimmer. Personal könnte neue Gäste besser informieren bzgl Frühstückssaal , Spa und andere Vorteile der Unterkunft. So könnte man sie dann auch nutzen.

Have stayed before so was expecting good service as the hotel and grounds are amazing, the room was fine and as we travelled with a dog there was water and food bowls and blanket in the room, we know that the dog is not allowed in the restaurant for breakfast and the last time we stayed , breakfast was set up in the lounge area and the receptionist said that would be the case this visit. We went down for breakfast and nothing was set up we asked the waitress and she just pointed to an outside area or the lounge. This is not a cheap hotel and I expect if there has been a mix up for them to rectify it, so we went to the lounge and I dressed the table myself with tablecloth, cutlery and condiments, breakfast looked like it had been put out at 6.30 am and left so if you like dried up food brilliant, there was a piece of bread in with the bacon maybe there to soak up the grease that the bacon was floating in, the cheese had that dried out look and there was only one choice of roll, there were pan au chocolates and another pastry unfortunately they had been in the oven too long and were over done, I wouldn’t of put them out like that,there was plenty of staff though not interested in helping or replenishing, very disappointed and will not be back which is a pity as we slept well, the beds are comfy the bathroom clean although the carpet had several stains and bleach marks on it.

Das Hotel ist von außen sehr schön. Die Einrichtung der Zimmer ist etwas alt mit dem Teppich aber trotzdem ordentlich und sauber. Leider war auch der Wellnessbereich nicht so Einladend gestaltet. Was uns sehr gefallen hat war das Menü im Restaurant. Das Essen und der Service waren wirklich sehr gut.

Ein sehr schön gelegenes Hotel mit Potenzial. Leider ist das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen. Als Hundehalter bekommt man natürlich nicht die "saubersten" Zimmer aber so viele Flecken auf einem Hotelteppich habe ich noch nicht gesehen. Auch die Sitzmöbel im Frühstücksbereich sind teilweise in unschönem Zustand. Das Personal war super, alle waren freundlich und hilfsbereit. So soll das sein. Das Frühstück war gut, der Sauberkeitseindruck am Buffet war vollkommen in Ordnung. Fazit, im Grund ein gutes Haus aber mit Renovierungsbedarf.

A great historic and beautifully restored Chateau. Large comfortable bedroom with AC which was great as temperatures were 10 to 20 Degrees above seasonal averages. N

The noise of a low frequency of an outside ac was terrible. Couldnot sleep anymore of the continous noise going up and down Our comments at the reception were not believed(r301) Donot understand why we had to pay €2,90 pppd for service charge!

Probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. Currently trying to find a similar matress to upgrade our bed at home. Beautiful rooms, very spacious and cozy vibe. The whole area is lovely, and we got a room with a view over large pond/small lake. Fantastic service from the staff, and incredibly friendly. We didnt get a chance to try the breakfast or dinner at the restaurant, but hoping well be able to next time we stay.

Leider war die Heizung kaputt.

Een unieke locatie , goede bedden en sanitaire voorzieningen. Wat echt zeer teleurstellend is, is dat de kamer zeer rumoerig was. We werden om 5 u in de ochtend wakker van karren over tegels reden, hard praten . We konen letterlijk verstaan wat er in de eetzaal onder onze kamer gezegd werd. Echt jammer, want de rest was prima

A delightful hotel in an atmospheric location. Everything about it is to be highly recommended. Service from the staff is of the highest standard and to be greatly praised.

Wir waren zum 2. Mal hier und werden wiederkommen. Netterweise hatte man unserem Wunsch nach einer Unterbringung im Altbau entsprochen und wir bekamen eines der Zimmer in den Ecktürmen. Sehr geräumig und schön. Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Am ersten Abend haben wir ein sehr gutes Abendessen im Restaurant genossen. Das Hotel hat einen sehr großen Charme und wenn man beim Frühstück den Blick über den direkt vor den Fenstern liegenden Schlossteich wirft und die Schwäne vorbeiziehen kann man seinen Aufenthalt richtig genießen. Bei schönem Wetter lohnt sich ein Spaziergang um den Teich und in der Umgebung. Wie gesagt, wir kommen wieder .

Wat een prachtige plek! Vanaf het moment dat ik aankwam bij Château Holtmühle voelde het alsof ik even helemaal weg was uit de dagelijkse drukte. Het kasteel straalt zoveel rust en charme uit — echt een sprookjesachtige sfeer. Mijn kamer was heerlijk schoon, ruim en stijlvol ingericht. Alles straalde comfort en klasse uit, tot in de kleinste details. Het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij, ze gaven me echt het gevoel welkom te zijn. Het ontbijt was top – vers, uitgebreid en geserveerd in een prachtige zaal met uitzicht op het water. 's Avonds heb ik genoten van een heerlijk diner; pure verwennerij met verfijnde smaken en mooie presentatie. De omgeving is ook echt de moeite waard: groen, rustig en perfect voor een wandeling of een ritje naar Venlo. Ik heb hier genoten van elke minuut. Château Holtmühle is zo’n plek waar je tot rust komt, verwend wordt en met een glimlach weer vertrekt. Ik kom hier zeker terug! ✨

Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt. Sehr tierfreundlich, leider waren alle Tische im Restaurant belegt und die Freundlichkeit nicht flächendeckend gegeben.

Wie waren für zwei Nächte in diesem schönen Hotel untergebracht, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist wunderschön gelegen, sehr ruhig und in der Natur. Der Eingangsbereich macht einen schönen Eindruck. Wir waren in einem Castle Zimmer untergebracht. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, besonders die Vorspeisen haben uns begeistert. Auch der Service ist exzellent. Dies trifft auch auf das Frühstück zu, das man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte. Schade war, dass nicht alle Räume zum Frühstücken geöffnet waren, wir hätten zum Beispiel gerne im Wintergarten am Wasser gesessen. Was man noch verbessern könnte: die Spiegel Beleuchtung im Bad ist sehr dunkel. Meine Frau hatte Schwierigkeiten, sich dabei zu schminken. insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt: ich kann das Bilderberg Chateau Holtmühle sehr weiterempfehlen!

Bediening wat traag wel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We moesten personeel zoeken & vragen om een wijntje e.d. zowel op het terras als in de lounge.

Staying in a former castle! Does not get much better than that. A moat, complete with swans and ducks. Patios to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Nice selection of beer. And a fully renovated place, so the rooms are great! Staff is also very nice and helpful. And on top of all that, there is a great garden area which is well worth the wander, and a short walk to the town of "Steyl" which is a monastery town, with a great history! Try to visit the "Ketelhuis" museum and the Steyl brewery which has a fantastic selection and great passion for craft beer.

Eine idyllisch gelegene Unterkunft, die mit dem Auto sehr gut zu erreichen ist. Schönes Zimmer mit vielen Annehmlichkeiten. Der Kleiderschrank könnte größer sein. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit reichlich Auswahl.

Het begint al met het oprijden van de oprijlaan in de zomer is deze schitterend zoal dat hoort bij een kasteel. De bedden zijn goed. Het ontbijt is uitstekend. En het personeel is vriendelijk.

Arrive at 6.00pm and there’s no room in restaurant for dinner… In the morning at 9.15 - no eggs, no bacon and many other empty plates… - many people asking the nice staff who keep telling us it will be there in s few minutes… - it took more than 15 minutes and still no bacon! Nice location, nice place and nice staff but apparently missing out on some.

A privilege to stay over at this castle the former Hussar barracks. We enjoyed the beautiful room facing the pond. Slept like larks thanks to a frog concert. Regarding diner on our first night: frugal and unimaginative. On the contrary breakfast the other morning was lavish.
