The buildings and the structures are in very bad shape. Every building and structure is run down, outdated and falling apart. The outside pool hasn’t been used in years. The inside pool isn’t working. The staff claim that it’s a mechanical issue. Real issue is that there is no money to fix the problem. No money has been spent on this resort in years. The outside areas around the villas are rotten and falling apart. Hugely unsafe. Stay away from this resort unless you like staying in a dump.

The heat does not work, the pool is out of service along with the gym the and the spa and sauna. Their sign invites you to try their new menu that consists of a handful of things to pick from (which they do not have some items.) the conference room was and perhaps has not been cleaned ever. There was no hot water. overall I would not Recommend this hotel.

Carpet was disgusting and room smelled bad. Contents of room were old and worn out. Restaurant could not serve our dinner when ordered we had to come back in one hour when it was finally prepared. Guests smoked on their balconies and the smoke came into our room. Pool and ecercise room closed for repair.

This hotel was in poor condition both inside and out. Rooms are outdated and very worn. Outside was neglected, pools were empty and cracked, gym and sauna closed. There was no water pressure, very little hot water and I couldn’t get the shower head to even work. The service in the restaurant was awful and at breakfast they had no orange juice, milk or apple juice, yet the hotel was almost fully booked all weekend because of a water cross event being held there. This place needs to be torn down and rebuilt before I will ever stay there again.

The facility was lovely however I specifically booked this place for a march break trip for my grandson and myself because it had a pool so when I arrived with him and the pool facilities were under renovations I was very disappointed and my grandson was heartbroken. We couldn’t afford to go south so we specifically booked a place with a pool so he would get a bit of a tropical feel. The fact that the construction was never mentioned during the booking was very disheartening.

This was my 3rd time staying here this year. The room was fairly clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and I am very thankful to the staff for putting us in a room with a king size bed. The ladies at the front desk were very charming, friendly and polite. The only downside was that the pool was closed for maintenance. Thanks so much for a relaxing stay.

This hotel needs a lot of fixing up. The whole hotel smells like dampness, most notable in the bedrooms. The carpets were bunched in many areas of the halls making tripping hazards. The dance floor of the hall had slightly lifted boards creating more tripping hazards even in flats. The air conditioner of our first room didn't work properly so we had to be moved to a different room sincw the room would nog go below 28C and our sliding door had no screen, so we couldnt get any airflow. The air conditioner worked in the new room but is SUPER loud. The key cards constantly deactivated if put anywhere near your phone, which is very inconvenient since both had to go in my purse and could only be separated so much. The staff were friendly and accommodating though, and the grounds are very beautiful.

beautiful golf coarse and lovely scenery. The carpet that is on the main stairs from the lobby to the dining/bar was so full of dirt that I felt I was walking on concrete. The down stair carpet still had some deflection left but not much. Brass kick plates, nice, but water tarnished 2" -3 " of al the kicks. Ugly. Carpets in the hallways were well worn and have loose areas that were bubbled away from the floor. In my room neither the air conditioner nor the heater were working. Coldest day of the summer, thus far. You get the picture. STAFF were sensational.

This place needs a major renovation. Everything is outdated and smells terrible. You don’t want to put your feet on the carpet. I had to stay there because there was no other choice! I think that’s why they keep it the way it is—only for people who had no other option to stay overnight. If they renovate it, it’ll be in a good area, but the building and rooms are terrible.

Stained carpets, ripped curtains, holes in the wall and outdated fixtures and decor. We couldn't wait to leave. Unfortunately what was once a grand old lady, is sadly all but gone. Stay somewhere else.

This is a very, very dated property. Nothing has been renovated in at least 30 years. The "air conditioning" in the room barely worked. On a hot August weekend it was very difficult to sleep in such a hot room. The room and hallway smelled like mould. The restaurant and front desk staff were nice however.

the amenities offered were closed with no advanced notice, hotel was rundown, filthy, carpets throughout and in the room (was rippled) & restaurant were filthy , receptionist has torn jeans, Restaurant - carpets were not cleaned in weeks. This property is falling apart. It’s run done. We were here 22 years ago and nothing has changed. Old dirty carpets and couches with stains. Two Bedroom villa came with nothing. No hot plate, toaster or anything. The fireplace didn’t work. The tvs are so old, only like 3 channels and all fuzzy. I’m guessing hockey tournaments only thing keep them in business because there are no other accommodations in Haliburton. Outrageous prices for what this place offers and how run down it is. Oh and the pool was under construction. Only reason we thought it would be nice! Never again. Find an air b n b!

We booked Pinestone resort in Haliburton Sept 27 and 28. They didn't have working air conditioning nor heat. They had a fan and a small heater that we could plug in. No breakfast either. They also had issues for more than 24 hours with TV - no access to any programs, just "snow". The pool, sauna, and exercise room were also out of commission. They would do nothing because i booked with 3rd party,and suggested I contact Expedia. We have stayed here before. No issues. I have never given a bad rating before. We were so disappnted. We attended a wedding and celebrated our 50th anniversary on the 28th. The accommodations kind of took the romance out of our celebrations.

The manager initiated a refund from hotels.com for the original price paid, $366 ($273 USD) not the second charge of $498. No one is calling me back to coreect this. The staffs are so rude and unfriendly and unprofessional! They even didn’t know when the restaurant will open. We had to go out and have our dinner at The Dockside Patio as the Stone 21 restaurant of Pinestone resort was closed. No body should visit this place. Worst place for a getaway! Don’t recommend at all! Go to Bonnie View Inn and have food at The Dockside Patio. Very friendly and professional staffs and amazing view.

We had to go out and have our dinner at The Dockside Patio as the Stone 21 restaurant of Pinestone resort was closed. No body should visit this place. Worst place for a getaway! Don’t recommend at all! Go to Bonnie View Inn and have food at The Dockside Patio. Very friendly and professional staffs and amazing view.

The down stair carpet still had some deflection left but not much. Brass kick plates, nice, but water tarnished 2" -3 " of al the kicks. Ugly. Carpets in the hallways were well worn and have loose areas that were bubbled away from the floor. In my room neither the air conditioner nor the heater were working. Coldest day of the summer, thus far. You get the picture. STAFF were sensational.

This was my 3rd time staying here this year. The room was fairly clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and I am very thankful to the staff for putting us in a room with a king size bed. The ladies at the front desk were very charming, friendly and polite. The only downside was that the pool was closed for maintenance. Thanks so much for a relaxing stay.

Our room was falling part. The ceiling was all falling down it was super run down and really old. We also went for lunch at the bar the waitress was super rude the whole time and terrible service. Won’t stay there ever again.

We have golfed here numerous times and really like the course. The “resort” however, is run down, neglected and has poor service. During our stay, the pool was closed and the satellite wasn’t working so there was literally nothing to do once we got back to our room. Our balcony overlooked a parking lot. The staff didn’t seem bothered by this in the least. Would never stay here again.

This place needs a major renovation. Everything is outdated and smells terrible. You don’t want to put your feet on the carpet. I had to stay there because there was no other choice! I think that’s why they keep it the way it is—only for people who had no other option to stay overnight. If they renovate it, it’ll be in a good area, but the building and rooms are terrible.

This used to be a beautiful resort. We booked one of the chalets for a week end. The place was in bad shape. Both doorways to the unit had unsafe entrances both back and front. The bottom of the doorframes were disintegrating and both door frames needed replaced. A heavier person stepping on this could have gone through the floor . The whole outside was worn and dirty. Inside was very dated with old TVs and furniture. We had chipmunks raid our food inside the unit. The beds were comfortable and the place inside was at least clean. Very disappointing as I was treating my family for the week end. Pool had no water in it and weeds growing up inside it. Was told by staff that “it hadn’t been kept up” and no longer usable. Key cards to the unit stopped working for each of the three days we were there. I asked to speak to a manager and apparently there isn’t one presently. No way to get hold of owners of the lodge as well. I guess they only care about the golf course. When we left Monday there were no other guests at the chalets. Tells you a lot when it’s a busy summer season with no guests . Such a shame that the owners have let it go. It was a good place when Delta had it. Unfortunately there are few options for staying near Haliburton village.

Carpet was disgusting and room smelled bad. Contents of room were old and worn out. Restaurant could not serve our dinner when ordered we had to come back in one hour when it was finally prepared. Guests smoked on their balconies and the smoke came into our room. Pool and ecercise room closed for repair.

Breakfast at the restaurant was excellent! We appreciated the friendly, efficient service. Also, the price.The front desk staff were helpful and pleasant. The property as a whole is in need of upgrades (ie carpets) and refurbishing.

This hotel was in poor condition both inside and out. Rooms are outdated and very worn. Outside was neglected, pools were empty and cracked, gym and sauna closed. There was no water pressure, very little hot water and I couldn’t get the shower head to even work. The service in the restaurant was awful and at breakfast they had no orange juice, milk or apple juice, yet the hotel was almost fully booked all weekend because of a water cross event being held there. This place needs to be torn down and rebuilt before I will ever stay there again.

Advertised “breakfast to go” bags but was told by the front desk that no breakfast would be available to us, since “breakfast to go” is only for the construction workers that are the primary guests at the hotel and that a Tim Hortons was down the road for us. Bought two bottles of water from the front desk at $2 each and she said they always “round up” purchases and charged us $4.50. Room was no frills adequate and quiet. Not the atmosphere I expected from how the place was advertised.

Actual check in was fine but on arrival in room, it looked like it was still occupied. Dirty towels, unmade bed, takeout containers on the counter. Called desk, no answer. Walked over, desk tried to message room service. Really? Asked if there was another room with 2 beds. Downgraded to room with no pull-out, fridge or microwave. Ice machine in hall broken. And no wifi or cable. Asked about some money back and was told no as booking was through hotels.ca

We booked this property with a cancellation date of July 10th. On July 12th I received an email message from the hotel looking forward to our visit. We were advised that cable TV would not be available, the outdoor pool is permanently closed and the restaurant would not be open. This was two days after the cancellation date. We advised hotels.com of our dissatisfaction and that we wouldn't be checking in.

The property is showing its age. One wing of the hotel was a long walk from the front desk and there are no elevators. Additionally, there were no fully closable curtains. This meant people could see into the room at night and light from outside could not be kept out. I thought it very odd. Other than that, my stay was pleasant.
