Location

Choachí is part of the Eastern Province in the department of Cundinamarca, Colombia, and is located about an hour and a half from downtown Bogotá. It sits at an altitude of approximately 1900 meters and is a valley surrounded by mountains and two páramos, Chingaza and Cruz Verde. It boasts abundant water resources, including rivers, streams, páramo waterfalls, and hot springs. Some of its trails preserve sections of what are known as 'royal roads' built during the colonial era.
