The entire property was run down. The carpet was nasty, very dirty and matted down. Curtains were falling of the rods, towel bars were falling off the walls, lamps switches were broken.

Did not even make it to the room. The place was so trashed up that i felt like it was a drug motel instead of a place to sleep. Trash everywhere in the halls along with lots of random furniture sketchy employees roaming in and out of rooms smoking. I stayed in bad places before and i didnt even feel safe to stay here.

There is nothing I liked. Junk vehicles in parking spaces, trash, anyone in the world could walk into the place...no "key" card needed to enter. Transients of questionable character seemed to be living there. Seemed to be more dogs living there than people. Deadbolt on room door didn't work, no smoke detector, holes in the wall, dirty room. No cups, toiletries or toilet paper in room. Room smelled like greasy cooking, mattress had depressions in it and no bedspreads just thin blankets wit burn holes in them. Despite the signs, people would routinely smoke in the hallways. Room was never cleaned or restocked even once during my 6 night stay. They didn't even provide coffee in the morning. "The "Blue Wave Inn" is by far the absolute worst place I have ever stayed in my life.

This place was not as advertised. Hallways smelled like crap there was homeless people with dogs going in and out. The room was stained even the bed sheets were torn and stained. I have never in my life seen such a rundown garbage sack.

They changed the number on the room twice during my stay. Inner door lock was missing. Door didn’t shut properly, a/c fridge & tv all broken. No clock phone or trash can. Loud remodeling going on for duration of the stay. Double charges for the refundable security deposit, neither one refunded. Duplicate room numbers. No breakfast. Local pizza place refused to deliver to the location, if that tells you anything. Absolutely horrendous. The back side of the building we were in looked like it had been literally ransacked, windows on the top floor open, furniture and wiring strewn all over the parking lot. Insane. Given a different (cheaper) room than was booked, not refunded the difference.

The room had a hole in the door and drug addicts outside When I went back to the front desk, they refused to come back I let the key behind the front desk window and left Hotel is dirty, room is dirty, hole in the door and unsafe

Online information showed this property with 2 stars. It should have a "Zero Star" rating! It is very poorly maintianed and it appears that a good portion of it is not usable. The room I was given smelled. It was also missing a TV remote, trash can, toilet paper amoing other things. Online info says they have 24-hour staff on duty, but is not correct. Old furniture was thrown out into the parking lot on the opposite side of the building from my room. I considered leaving the first night, but stayed and left the next morning in lieu of staying a second night. I had paid for two nights, but the office was not open when i left at 7:30 am. I called later and was told to leave a message and have not yet been called back. Worst place I have ever stayed!!!!

We didn’t even stay. Saw the outside of the building & opted to lose money rather than staying. Building looks like it’s about to fall down. People standing around. Just awful.

This place was/is terrible. A lot of low income people stay here and what nots. I ordered a smokeless room which reeked of cigarettes. Place was filthy. Broken lamp shades, broken bed, broken armoires, light fixtures coming down from the ceiling, drapes falling down from broken rods. Cigarette ash on the night stand and ash and dirt on the mattress pad on the bed underneath the sheets . The bed frame was a hazard due to metal frame was falling apart and stuck out from underneath the bed and could stab you in the shins. Don't stay at this place even for $40 bucks. Keep your money and pay more for a better place. Pictures online don't match the pictures of actual place. If it was it was done years ago before this place became a slum.

This is the worst place I have stayed at in my 57 years of life. First when I got there she' couldn't find my reservation and said I had to do another booking for more than my Expedia booking. She' then found it and gave me a room key. The hallways were full of trash and it was very noisy. I got to my room, which was at the end of the hall, and I was glad because I thought it might be less noisy there. This was at 8:00 at night. The door to the room was open already. I looked inside and there was bags of trash on the floor. I walked back outside to the front desk and explained the situation. She called someone and then gave me another room key. When I got to the room there was a man coming out and he said he just put pillows in the room and was going to get some towels. He came back and said they were running low on towels and gave me 1 bath towel, 1 washcloth and a floor mat. The bathroom door would not close. The bathroom counter stuck out further than the space for the door making it impossible to close. The toilet leaked water on the floor. The people in the room next door were yelling and fighting for hours and I could smell marijauna

This is the only hotel that was so bad I've just walked out and found a new hotel. The locks on the door were broken, the microwave was gross, there was no toilet paper or towels and even though there were two sinks one had a cigarette in it! There wasn't even a phone in the room to get ahold of the front desk. My kids and I did not feel safe AT ALL, so I turned my key in and we left! For some reason the so isn't letting me post pictures, but I have pictures of how terrible it was.

The place is a dump! There was no remote for the tv. I was told they didnt have enough for all the rooms. My key didnt work, was told you have to have a differant key to reset lock. The property was unsafe. There were people all over the property sleeping and making lots of noise. I saw several hiding and drinking. Requested a non smoking room and it reaked of ciggeretts and weed. The shower barley worked. If the place burned down it would be an improvement!!!

If you are a non-smoker this motel is not for you. Hallways and rooms are like ashtrays. First room I was provided with had 2 tp holders ripped from wall and no toilet paper, plus the window unit did not work - at all. Second room did not have clean floor and smelled. It was so unsanitary that I didn't feel comfortable enough to lay on top of bed to just sleep. I left to stay at Holiday Inn Express about a block over.
If you are a non-smoker this motel is not for you. Hallways and rooms are like ashtrays. The room smelled so strongly of smoke that i couldn't breathe. There were several cockroaches on the wall and in the bathroom. I couldn't stay there. The kis said he'd refund my money and never did. It was 18 degrees outside and he made me stand outside.

I had no choice with zero availability in Wichita the weekend I was there to stay here. After seeing the place I now know why they did have availability. Upon checking in, my room I had to kick a used tampon applicator off the floor into the parking lot. Plastic bags were pushed in the ceiling and walls to fill holes. I could actually see into the adjacent room. The sheets on the bed were filthy, and looked like someone had wiped feces on the sheets. The conditions were so poor, I immediately checked out and chose to sleep in the car out of concern for my health. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Our room was absolutely nothing like the pictures. The curtains were broken and wouldn't close, there was spackle all over the walls and the door frame looked like the door had been kicked in and repaired. We went to the front desk and they sid they'd give us a better room. The "better room" was even worse. The light switches did not work. We had to use the flashlights on our phones to find a lamp. The curtains again were broken. The worst part, though, was there was not extra door lock. The part on the door was missing. The regular door lock was literally electrical taped back onto the door. We took our keys back and left. We asked Expedia for a refund, but were denied by bith Expedia and the hotel because they have a no refunds under any circumstances policy. I have never left a hotel like that before in my life. It was truly an awful experience!

We went to the front desk and they sid they'd give us a better room. The "better room" was even worse. The light switches did not work. We had to use the flashlights on our phones to find a lamp. The curtains again were broken. The worst part, though, was there was not extra door lock. The part on the door was missing. The regular door lock was literally electrical taped back onto the door. We took our keys back and left. We asked Expedia for a refund, but were denied by bith Expedia and the hotel because they have a no refunds under any circumstances policy. I have never left a hotel like that before in my life. It was truly an awful experience!

The property was unsafe. There were people all over the property sleeping and making lots of noise. I saw several hiding and drinking. Requested a non smoking room and it reaked of ciggeretts and weed. The shower barley worked. If the place burned down it would be an improvement!!!

They changed the number on the room twice during my stay. Inner door lock was missing. Door didn’t shut properly, a/c fridge & tv all broken. No clock phone or trash can. Local pizza place refused to deliver to the location, if that tells you anything. Absolutely horrendous. Second to worst hotel stay ever. Bed was ok. Sheets were threadbare, rusty bathroom appliances, broken shower knob, ripped lampshade, broken curtains, brown water out of shower at first. It all felt a little shady. I’m pretty tolerant typically. Still slept fine.

Our room was absolutely nothing like the pictures. The curtains were broken and wouldn't close, there was spackle all over the walls and the door frame looked like the door had been kicked in and repaired. If you are a non-smoker this motel is not for you. Hallways and rooms are like ashtrays. First room I was provided with had 2 tp holders ripped from wall and no toilet paper, plus the window unit did not work - at all. Second room did not have clean floor and smelled. It was so unsanitary that I didn't feel comfortable enough to lay on top of bed to just sleep. I left to stay at Holiday Inn Express about a block over.

Front desk employee was very rude. I had back surgery and asked if they could bring me some more towels. They told me I would have to come down to the office to get them. When I explained I just had back surgery and couldn’t move very well they hung up on me. Toilet was running all day and night. 2 out of the 3 hinges holding the front door on was broke. Door to ajoyning room did not lock. Kids running up and down the hallway knocking on doors all night long. Dogs barking all night. Would never recommend this place to nobody. It was cheap to stay there but you get what you pay for

There were broken things everywhere and roaches all over the room. I didn’t stay here and was promised a refund that they’re now saying I cannot receive. It was completely awful. I would never recommend anyone to stay here.

Online information showed this property with 2 stars. It should have a "Zero Star" rating! It is very poorly maintianed and it appears that a good portion of it is not usable. The room I was given smelled. It was also missing a TV remote, trash can, toilet paper amoing other things. Online info says they have 24-hour staff on duty, but is not correct. Old furniture was thrown out into the parking lot on the opposite side of the building from my room. I considered leaving the first night, but stayed and left the next morning in lieu of staying a second night. I had paid for two nights, but the office was not open when i left at 7:30 am. I called later and was told to leave a message and have not yet been called back. Worst place I have ever stayed!!!!

Terrible hotel- do not stay! We arrived, and had booked 2 rooms. we received one room that was already occupied and then when we went back to the desk, they gave us a key to a new room that didn’t work! In my particular room, there was a giant bug dead next to the toilet and holes in the wall. This place looks like a drug den. It’s old and smells like cigarettes as well. I felt very unsafe and I was traveling with an 80lbs German Sheppard. I wouldn’t even subject her to these conditions. To top it off, when we arrived there were about 10 police cars surrounding the area. After 10 hours of driving cross country- would highly not recommend. When we tried to cx our room because of the conditions, they refused to refund us. I’m out almost 200 dollars for this. I wouldn’t even stay here if I only had to spend 10 dollars a room.

There is nothing I liked. Junk vehicles in parking spaces, trash, anyone in the world could walk into the place...no "key" card needed to enter. Transients of questionable character seemed to be living there. Seemed to be more dogs living there than people. Deadbolt on room door didn't work, no smoke detector, holes in the wall, dirty room. No cups, toiletries or toilet paper in room. Room smelled like greasy cooking, mattress had depressions in it and no bedspreads just thin blankets wit burn holes in them. Despite the signs, people would routinely smoke in the hallways. Room was never cleaned or restocked even once during my 6 night stay. They didn't even provide coffee in the morning. "The "Blue Wave Inn" is by far the absolute worst place I have ever stayed in my life.

My experience was bad the moment i parked the car. The pictures that are shown on the Expedia app or nothing like how it looks in person. It’s very disorganized, dirty looking and once I got into my room There were a lot of mosquitoes and flies flying on top of the bed. Cockroaches all over the floor.

Do not come here! This place is horrible. The hotel rooms are in terrible condition — the curtains are torn and stained, the window glass is broken and dirty, and there are roaches everywhere. I would have never come here if I had seen the reviews beforehand. I booked through Expedia because I was on a road trip. I informed the hotel that I would be arriving very late, around 3:30 a.m. The staff confirmed that their front desk is available 24 hours a day. However, when we arrived, there was no one at the front desk, so we left. There were a bunch of guys hanging around the hotel, clearly looking for trouble. One of them even passed close by to check us out. When we drove away from the place, these guys started chasing us — they followed us all the way to the next gas station. At that moment, we truly feared for our safety, and it is unclear what could have happened if we had stayed.
