Wonderful hotel within the walled city. Be prepared to walk your luggage from the parking lot to the hotel, about 300 meters. Rooms are large and fit the architecture of the city. Great breakfast and friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Wonderful place to stay, great restaurant, and the staff was wonderful too! Extremely conveniently located and was in the middle of it all. (Get a parking pass from them instead of at the lot pay station.). And also note that there are certain times that you can drive in the pedestrian zone to drop off/pick up your bags. (But wasn’t a very far walk regardless.)

Location of the hotel is great. It is right in the middle of Gruyère. It is a bit touristy so be ready for that. Our room had a wonderful Mountain View. Parking is down the hill so pack light because the walkway is cobblestone. We were there in September so we didn’t need air conditioning but it may be an issue in the hotter summer months. There were mosquitos so just be aware of that when you leave your windows open. That being said, the room is clean and comfortable. The restaurant was fine. We had fondue and steak, but the fondue was the better choice. Overall not a bad stay. The hotel’s location made it so that we could be there for sunrise and sunset—which was lovely.

The hotel is centrally located in the medieval town of Gruyere. The staff were wonderful, the room was great. They have a restaurant with great views, a herd of deer appeared while we were having dinner. There is no elevator so if you have any mobility issues be aware. The staff will take care of bringing up your luggage for you.

Nice room in a historic village. The staff was super friendly, and even though there was no elevator, they carried our suitcases to our room. This was a huge help, since I had hurt my knee. The fondue at the restaurant was delicious. Great stay

Lovely location directly in the old village. Anna in receiption was very accommodating. There is an old set of circular stairs, so the staff were wonderful to assist with luggage. Rooms are comfortable with nice bedding and a choice of pillows. Coffee maker, hair dryer and several outlets around the room. Restaurant has a lovely view and the staff was friendly and offered great suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is helpful to know that after 6pm and between 8am and 10am you are able to drive to the front of the hotel to drop luggage. Breakfast is typical European and you have the ability to boil eggs to your liking. We will definitely return

Hotel is fine. Rooms are small and ceiling very low. Bathroom is tiny, paint pealing from the ceiling. Beds are not big by any standard and someone tall will have trouble fitting in. Mini fridge was not working and had a faul odor. No water in the rooms (had to buy an overpriced bottle downstairs). But thw worst part is that the city is closed for cars so depending on what time you arrive, you will be forced to haul your luggage in a series of long stairs from a public parking into the city. There are limited times where you would be able to deive up to the hotel door steps.

excelenete ubicacion en el centro del pueblo amurallado y pegado al castillo de gruyeres, muy buenas instalaciones en el hotel diferentes restaurantes y bar, con vistas vistas: uno al centro y otro a la montana. creo que es de lo mejor en gruyeres me encanto el hotel aclaro que aqui, no esperaba tener un GYM o spa y no lo hay, el hotel es ideal para honeymooners nota no hay parqueo, hay uno cercano que si te hospedas en el hotel solo pagas 10 francos por 24horas localizado como a 300 mts Gruyeres es un lugar que la gente va a conocer de paso en especial a Almorzar se llena de gente a mediados del dia y luego queda casi vacio.

The staff was friendly and courteous, the building had character and was clean. I loved opening the upper bedroom window and looking out over the village courtyard, hearing the fountain trickle, and watching the fade away as it grew dark and the lights came in.

Our best experience with lodging over 9 nights and 5 cities in Switzerland. Classy and clean, gorgeous views, and a wonderful staff that made us feel at home. Plus—no small thing—the best fondue we've ever had. I'd book there again in a heartbeat.

For a one night visit to Gruyères, this was a great place to stay. Everyone in the hotel was very nice and accommodating. They upgraded us to a view side room which was very pretty. A very cute hotel! The staff provided guidance and recommendations for our stay that was very helpful.

Le Saint Georges was absolutely magical. Our entire stay in Gruyeres felt like a fairytale. We arrived well before check in but they happily took our luggage and worked with us to take care of check out then since we were leaving quite early the next morning. When we arrived back later in the day to officially get our room, they had already taken our luggage into our room. Our room was small but enchanting with a lovely window that opened up to the main street in Gruyeres. It did not have AC (we knew this ahead of time) but it was equipped with a fan that kept us cool overnight. Our room had a lovely and spacious bathroom with shampoo and conditioner, wash rags, and a spacious shower. The hotel also had great wifi connectivity. The hotel host was incredible as well- unfortunately I didn't catch her name! She advised us to try to get dinner at a certain time as many restaurants in the town close early and when we decided upon eating dinner at the hotel restaurant (which was incredible), the same hotel host was insistent on us getting a table by the window which had the most stunning view of the mountains during sunset. I would absolutely recommend that anyone visiting Gruyeres come to Le Saint Georges.

The staff was very kind and professional. Loved the dining room and food. We were upgraded to a larger room which I appreciated. Loved the view. Tiny room but didn’t expect anything different.

Très beau séjour, hôtel charmant, chambre vue montagne, excellent Petit-déjeuner et très bon accueil + conseils En revanche musique un peu forte en fin après-midi début de soirée (on entend bien dans la chambre 1)

We wanted to stay in Gruyère Old Town, and we decided on Le Saint Georges based on pictures posted and we were not disappointed. We received a free upgrade to Junior Suite which was wonderful, as it had two windows we could open and enjoy nice ventilation of the room when it cooled down in the evening. We stayed when it was extremely hot outside, so being able to open room up to cool it down was much appreciated. We enjoyed dinner with dessert on the back covered terrace.

Wonderful hotel within the walled city. Be prepared to walk your luggage from the parking lot to the hotel, about 300 meters. Rooms are large and fit the architecture of the city. Great breakfast and friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Nice room in a historic village. The staff was super friendly, and even though there was no elevator, they carried our suitcases to our room. This was a huge help, since I had hurt my knee. The fondue at the restaurant was delicious. Great stay

Lovely location directly in the old village. Anna in receiption was very accommodating. There is an old set of circular stairs, so the staff were wonderful to assist with luggage. Rooms are comfortable with nice bedding and a choice of pillows. Coffee maker, hair dryer and several outlets around the room. Restaurant has a lovely view and the staff was friendly and offered great suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is helpful to know that after 6pm and between 8am and 10am you are able to drive to the front of the hotel to drop luggage. Breakfast is typical European and you have the ability to boil eggs to your liking. We will definitely return

The staff was very kind and professional. Loved the dining room and food. We were upgraded to a larger room which I appreciated. Loved the view. Tiny room but didn’t expect anything different.

We had a wonderful stay at St George's hotel. All the staff is so friendly, and especially Ana at the front desk, she just can't do enough for us. We appreciated all the details and attentiveness. One must stay there if ever to visit the Gruyère ville.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at LSG for a week. The hotel is situated at the top of a hillside in a little medieval village and is just picturesque. All around is serenity and nature. The hotel is a lovely place, has adequate sized rooms and they are very comfortable. The best part is waking up and looking straight out onto the mountains and hearing the sounds of nature !! Food at the hotel is delicious and their cheese fondue and ice creams are the best ! Staff at the hotel are extremely welcoming and friendly and make your experience even more special and enjoyable. Special thanks to Alex, Hichem and Mohammed who made us feel welcome and took care of everything. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer !! Definitely be visiting LSG in the future again.

Location of the hotel is great. It is right in the middle of Gruyère. It is a bit touristy so be ready for that. Our room had a wonderful Mountain View. Parking is down the hill so pack light because the walkway is cobblestone. We were there in September so we didn’t need air conditioning but it may be an issue in the hotter summer months. There were mosquitos so just be aware of that when you leave your windows open. That being said, the room is clean and comfortable. The restaurant was fine. We had fondue and steak, but the fondue was the better choice. Overall not a bad stay. The hotel’s location made it so that we could be there for sunrise and sunset—which was lovely.

Located right in the center of Gruyeres, nice area to walk around, parking available for a fee. Room size was ok, window overlooking the central square. Veranda Panoramic restaurant looks operated by same team and has an entrance inside the hotel . Dining experience there was a dissapointment.

excelenete ubicacion en el centro del pueblo amurallado y pegado al castillo de gruyeres, muy buenas instalaciones en el hotel diferentes restaurantes y bar, con vistas vistas: uno al centro y otro a la montana. creo que es de lo mejor en gruyeres me encanto el hotel aclaro que aqui, no esperaba tener un GYM o spa y no lo hay, el hotel es ideal para honeymooners nota no hay parqueo, hay uno cercano que si te hospedas en el hotel solo pagas 10 francos por 24horas localizado como a 300 mts Gruyeres es un lugar que la gente va a conocer de paso en especial a Almorzar se llena de gente a mediados del dia y luego queda casi vacio.

A first trip to Gruyere was fantastic. A beautiful, historic town. Le Saint George was a perfect location to enjoy Gruyere. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. The pizza in the restaurant was exceptional!!

Le Saint Georges was absolutely magical. Our entire stay in Gruyeres felt like a fairytale. We arrived well before check in but they happily took our luggage and worked with us to take care of check out then since we were leaving quite early the next morning. When we arrived back later in the day to officially get our room, they had already taken our luggage into our room. Our room was small but enchanting with a lovely window that opened up to the main street in Gruyeres. It did not have AC (we knew this ahead of time) but it was equipped with a fan that kept us cool overnight. Our room had a lovely and spacious bathroom with shampoo and conditioner, wash rags, and a spacious shower. The hotel also had great wifi connectivity. The hotel host was incredible as well- unfortunately I didn't catch her name! She advised us to try to get dinner at a certain time as many restaurants in the town close early and when we decided upon eating dinner at the hotel restaurant (which was incredible), the same hotel host was insistent on us getting a table by the window which had the most stunning view of the mountains during sunset. I would absolutely recommend that anyone visiting Gruyeres come to Le Saint Georges.

Chambre mignonne dans un beau et vieil (historique !) établissement, parfaitement rénové. Très bon dîné avec les excélents produits de la Gruyère et très bon petit déjeuner sur la terrasse, au centre de ce vieux et magnifique village. Le personnel est jeune, charmant et très serviable. Merci à tous !

We liked this hotel but understandably, as an older facility it was way too hot and the staircase was difficult to negotiate with our bags. Otherwise, it was a good place centrally located in this cute town. The staff was very helpful.

The view from our room was a breathtaking Mountain View. The breakfast was astounding, with many fresh pastries and other great, high-quality options. Alex, the hotel manager, went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The property was ideally positioned within the town of Gruyère. We could not have been more happy with our stay!
