Outside pool was warm which was great after working and driving all day. We stayed early in the week and had no issues with check in, the stay or noise like many hotels. If you don't ask for service you don't get it. But you can ask for anything. Kings dominion is the next road over so it's good and close, still it's crossing a highway so go ahead and drive over. Beds comfy, even more so after closing down KD!

The employees were great. The room was comfy. The only thing I did not like is why offer a washing machine and dryer, but not have change to do laundry.

I stopped by just to get a roof over my head during a cross country drive. Good value for money. Room was as expected. I like the usage of refillable containers in the bathroom. Pillows were a little firm to my liking and all pillows were the same, so no opportunity to mix and match. Tiny details... They have a fitness center but I went to the local gym instead as it was too basic. Nice with included breakfast. This property has some improvements to be done on the management side. The breakfast area was used as the employee break room. When I got there, an employee sat there on their phone. Texting and talking. After a while, another employee joined and discussed their dissatisfaction with the management. It went on for the remaining time of my breakfast. Breakfast was wrapped up before the actual closing time, the employee seemed very eager to knock out the task and get out the door. I went from breakfast to check out, and other guests were waiting by the counter. Nobody behind the counter. No notes or messages when they would be back. Another employee came looking for the counter staff but was not to be found. They told us "It might be a few minutes, maybe they went to the restroom...". Eventually, me and the other guests left the keys on the counter and we self checked out. Overall, I think it was a good stay and good value for the price. If you want to up your game, the first step would be to figure out how to make employees care about what they do.

Stopped there for one night during a road trip. Comfortable beds. Location- it’s right across the street from six flags, we had to drive to get dinner, but easy to do as it’s right off the Highway. I think there is a Burger King and a 7/11 next to the hotel. Easy parking.

This hotel was ok Right across the street from amusement park!! The breakfast was horrible, only good thing about breakfast were making ur own waffles. I don’t know who did the architect layout but the pool shouldn’t be in the parking lot smh and it was dirty. I had ants in my room every time I turned the air conditioner on… Made the best of my stay!!

This is a disgusting hotel. Never will I stay here again. Stains all over carpet floors and bedding. All the lights in the hall way was poor. Couldn’t see anything, very sketchy. Staff was very rude to us when we had late check in and then again when leaving. Breakfast was all cold. Plain run down hotel. Do not pay attention to the stars.

The floor had not been vacuumed as I found a hair tie on it. I got in bed to find something wet on the back of my leg. I got up and leaned down to sniff the wet spot and it reeked of pee. Thankfully it was a double room so I just got into the other bed after an unexpected shower. I didn’t call the desk as I was already in my nightgown ready for bed and needed to get sleep for the next day. I finally lay my head back down to rest and hear the blaring horn of a train whistle then moments later a huge crash. It sounded like the train had derailed it was so loud. Needless to say I overslept in the morning from being up late. I would love a refund though I’m sure I won’t get it. Also, the next morning I went to get a drink from the machine and it was unplugged.

Room was ok. Second floor hallway smelled like pet urine. Instead of spraying Lysol into the air vent (observed), washing and vacuuming the carpet would be better. It’s great to be non-smoking but it should be pet-free too. Breakfast was good. Should be allowed to take a plate to room (not allowed) or extend close time past 9:30am. Good proximity to Kings Dominion.

I am pretty sure that our room had bedbugs and it was absolutely disgusting. There was also visible mold growing on the HVAC.

The hallways had a smell, the floor in the bathroom was not cleaned. We found urine spots by the toilet and medication pills on the floor. The elevator was filthy, the carpet by the elevator is filthy as well. The breakfast scrambled eggs were highly artificial. Dont recomend

This was a great choice. Reasonably priced, easy access, great friendly staff, clean room, good towels/toiletries, immediate HOT water in shower, etc..... My only complaint would be sound. Walls were thin as was ceiling. I heard all neighbors. Perhaps spread out guests more if not too busy? (not your fault- building is a bit dated)

Very Clean, updated room and bathroom. Very comfortable mattress and bedding. Room key, faucets, fridge, etc all worked great. Very friendly staff. Somewhat loud A/C, and a train runs 100 ft behind hotel at midnight, 3 am. Can’t be helped

Great location across from Kings Dominion. Room was recently renovated and clean with a comfy bed. Relatively quiet during our stay and the staff was very friendly. Only negative was that the AC unit in our room was on when we arrived and leaking heavily, so the carpet in that area was very wet. We ended up keeping the unit off during our stay so it didn’t bother us but could lead to some issues with mould if not properly addressed. Good experience overall especially for the price so would stay here again next time in we’re in the area.

Check-in was smooth, pulling into the check-in area is between a fenced pool where many wet kids are running in and out and the front door of the hotel. You have to circle around to park though. The hotel is DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF A RAILROAD TRACK so if silence is something you desire, you may want to choose a hotel that's miles away from King's Dominion (the park you're probably going to, if you're staying here). Being directly across from the park can save you $30 in parking fees if you walk. We were in room 321 which is the top-right corner on the front side. It was relatively quiet but you could still hear the trains. The TV was locked down with some type of android operating system and didn't include the TV remote, only a universal which didn't have input or menu not allowing HDMI sources or intuitive channel surfing (you had to hit Previous Channel to get to "dish network guide" and then go up and down from there). Normally, I'm harsh on internet speeds at hotels. However, this time we did not use the internet; so, no review there. Keeping the Frigidaire AC on 61 gets the room about 72. The staff was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The front desk provided bandages when we asked for them and the breakfast lady was not only friendly but went out of her way to get more food available even at the very end of the breakfast time. The hotel looks like it was recently updated but could use an entire remodel. Definitely new AC units.

The property is about 25 feet from a train track, so nightly you are awakened by trains...overall for the price, the hotel was okay, friendly staff and was clean.. The beds and pillows are very stiff, so just be away of that.. Stayed there while visiting Kings Dominion, would stay there again, would just ask for.a room towards the feont.of the building, further away from the noise of the trains..

The hotel was okay. Bed was fine. Sheets felt weird. Floors couls use a better cleaning. The shower knob wasnt fastened in all the way. The tape used to hold the ac together was hanging off. Holes in the bathroom door. Train right behind building. And the wifi was spotty. Staff was awesome. They worked with me after i made a mistake and booked the wrong night!!! So appricated them for that, after all it was my mistake!. Breakfast was good. Great options. Eggs were delicious! Cook does a wonderful job. Would i stay here Gain? Um maybe... i would look Roubd for options for sure.

The bed was very comfortable and I appreciated the carpeting. I was surprised when I went down for their breakfast and saw signs that the breakfast was only available for “dine-in” and not to take items to the room. New one for me, especially since the rooms have a refrigerator and microwave. The AC was noisy and positioned right by the desk which made finding the precise settings while working a challenge. The light/fan in the bathroom was crazy loud. I appreciated the newer bathroom finishes.

I had a wonderful stay. The breakfast was good. It was a hot breakfast with eggs, bacon, waffles etc. The room was cleaned. Check in and check out was fast. The only complaint is the slow internet which I was able to work around. I will definitely stay here again.

Water in the township and hotels and restaurants were shut off in the middle of the night due to a water main break. They assured us it would be back on in a hour or two and it was. Hotel did not notify us that the water was then… on a do not drink or take showers notice until after we took showers, brushed our teeth AND ate at the hotel breakfast bar that morning. We had about 5 rooms. Thank God my family didn’t get sick. They didn’t post any signs right away or offer any refunds until many of the guests started becoming a little unruly in the lobby. The refunded us for 1 night and we left. Hotel was clean and I would book there again to visit the park. They just didn’t have a front desk person or staff ready to handle such an emergency.

Room reserved was not ready 30 minutes after check in. We accepted another room. The toilet seat was broken. Elevator floor was filthy. Breakfast was good and dining hall was clean. Overall very disappointed.

Check in was super easy and the staff was exceptional! The room was very clean and the bed was super comfy! Got really good sleep and the breakfast was great! I would definitely stay again if I’m in the area!

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was pleasant, quiet, and clean. An added bonus was that it had a fresh smell as soon as I entered into the lobby. Front desk was pleasant and it is less than a 5 minute walk to Kings Dominion.

Hotel was fine, enjoyed the Kings Dominion photos everywhere. But absolutely ridiculous that I was denied a refund for second night due to family emergency that caused me to cut my trip short a day early. The last thing I want to deal with when I have to go deal with that is a staff refusing to help me out. Absolutely ridiculous

Room was comfortable and adequately cleaned. Check in was easy and friendly. Property is small and recently renovated, but bottom line this is a dressed up budget hotel, so keep your expectations in line. No coffee in the room (had a single cup maker but no coffee pods) and lobby and cafe coffee were gone by 9 am on the first day of our stay. There didn’t appear to be anyone maintaining or refilling in the food area- they were out of milk, eggs, and other key items. No one was at the front desk as well. There was a cafe attendant and weak coffee the second day of our stay, but mostly she was complaining to other staff about not having help. She also sat at a table watching the TV even though all tables in the small area were taken, so we had to take our plates back to our room. As long as you keep your expectations in line and remember that you get what you pay for, this hotel is adequate. I felt safe, the room was adequate, and the location is very convenient to the theme park across the street. And the 7-11 next door was very convenient since I couldn’t get coffee at the hotel. It even has on site laundry facilities (we didn’t use) which is a plus. The train tracks are VERY close but didn’t bother us. I think they are trying to be something that they’re not and can’t be with such limited staff, but we would probably stay there again at the price we got. However, I’ve stayed at the two hotels nearby and definitely found them to be preferable.

Very nice rooms - recently upgraded it looks. Awesome to be right in front of Kings Dominion. Breakfast was good, but I wish you’d be allowed to bring it to your room (I had work to finish before going to the park). I would definitely stay again!

My dog and I stay at this hotel regularly when attending a nearby dog show. It has been recently renovated and is very clean and comfortable inside. The wi-fi is pretty decent and the breakfast is good with hot and cold choices each day. The room is very quiet. The area outside the hotel is not great, with a lot of trash etc. but there is enough green space to walk the dog.

The property was average. While it was fairly clean, it was a little beat up, water pressure in shower was poor, train runs about 50 feet behind it and the location is not walking distance to anythings but 711 or Burger King. The staff was nice but weren't very knowledgeable.

I stopped by just to get a roof over my head during a cross country drive. Good value for money. Room was as expected. I like the usage of refillable containers in the bathroom. Pillows were a little firm to my liking and all pillows were the same, so no opportunity to mix and match. Tiny details... They have a fitness center but I went to the local gym instead as it was too basic. Nice with included breakfast. This property has some improvements to be done on the management side. The breakfast area was used as the employee break room. When I got there, an employee sat there on their phone. Texting and talking. After a while, another employee joined and discussed their dissatisfaction with the management. It went on for the remaining time of my breakfast. Breakfast was wrapped up before the actual closing time, the employee seemed very eager to knock out the task and get out the door. I went from breakfast to check out, and other guests were waiting by the counter. Nobody behind the counter. No notes or messages when they would be back. Another employee came looking for the counter staff but was not to be found. They told us "It might be a few minutes, maybe they went to the restroom...". Eventually, me and the other guests left the keys on the counter and we self checked out. Overall, I think it was a good stay and good value for the price. If you want to up your game, the first step would be to figure out how to make employees care about what they do.

I was surprised when I went down for their breakfast and saw signs that the breakfast was only available for “dine-in” and not to take items to the room. New one for me, especially since the rooms have a refrigerator and microwave. The AC was noisy and positioned right by the desk which made finding the precise settings while working a challenge. The light/fan in the bathroom was crazy loud. I appreciated the newer bathroom finishes.

Room was ok. Second floor hallway smelled like pet urine. Instead of spraying Lysol into the air vent (observed), washing and vacuuming the carpet would be better. It’s great to be non-smoking but it should be pet-free too. Breakfast was good. Should be allowed to take a plate to room (not allowed) or extend close time past 9:30am. Good proximity to Kings Dominion.

First room provided was musty, and had to ask for another room. In that room, the floors had recently been mopped, and were still very wet. The bathroom needs updated / renovated big time. The drain did not drain the water fast enough, tub and sink were really showing their age. Also, TV picture was very blurry. Outside the room also needs updated big time. At least one side or rear door was closed with a shovel from the outside, which could have easily been removed by a non-guest, wanting to gain inside access to the property. The breakfast consisted of four small white powdered donuts, coffee, but no real cream, waffle mix, but no syrup or butter, and a few bagels, but no cream cheese or butter. Needless to say, I passed. Pay the extra $10 - $15 per night -- it will be worth it for just the breakfast alone.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was nicely kept for a lower end hotel chain. The breakfast was good and staff was again nice. I wish there was water in the rooms. I was very disturbed by the amount of trash behind the building adjacent to where I parked. It appears to have an entire homeless camp of trash right behind the building. It was disturbing to think of people making that much trash and having nowhere to go. The Best Western should at least clean the grounds.

The outside is outdated but once you get inside a different story! We stayed in 307 and the ac made noise all the time and while the room was clean the towel rack above the toilet broke and sink faucet was broke but didn’t leak! There was a few upgrades like the light covers could be changed dingy yellow, it wouldn’t cost much to replace those! My daughter said the second night people yelling in the hallways late at night! The room was clean and beds were comfortable but definitely would fix the easy items and don’t use cheap fixtures!

We spent the day at kings dominion and when we went to check in they couldn’t find us. When we gave them our confirmation number we were informed that we had already checked in. They gave our room to someone else under our name we booked a king and got stuck with a queen. Only other thing they did for us was no deposit down and we got a bag with 2 waters, a Oreo cookie and a soft granola bar. We were not happy about the situation but at least we got a room for the night.
