Great location, just off the Camino de Santiago. Very friendly hosts, intent on making your stay comfortable. We had read on Hotels.com that checkin ended at 3:30 then restarted in the evening, but this is more a reflection of the restaurant opening hours. The host is available for late afternoon checkin as well. The pre-ordered breakfast for €8.50 is highly recommended - it is waiting outside your door in the morning, giving you flexibility for your morning departure, if you wish to leave early.

Samuel and Andrea went above and beyond to make us at home. I had just fallen and broke my wrist , and Samuel drove me to the hospital. Later we had a great dinner at their restaurant!! A highlight of our trip.

Gastfreundschaft vom feinsten! Sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Da wir (Pilger) sehr müde ankamen, brachte man uns sogar Kühlbeutel aufs Zimmer, um unsere müden Beine zu pflegen. Unser Abendessen nahmen wir im dazugehörenden Restaurant ein - zum Glück! Es war sehr lecker und die Bedienung ein Traum. Die Betten (eher weiche Matratzen) für unsere Rücken ideal.

This is a nice little spot along the river. We have booked a standard room with river view. We got a room with a window up under the roof and no view. We asked the reception and they showed us we have booked a standard room and that room has no river view. So it is a wrong description on hotels.com's website. The room was cosy but small and we decided to leave and found another hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and was very sorry because they have rooms with view but they were booked.

Had a reservation and paid for the room. Showed up at ~4:15 PM. The front door was locked and no one was around. The place looked shut down. I finally made contact with the owner by phone and he refused to give me a code to get into the room. Right - a code. He’s AWAL and he sends you a code to access the room. When I told him that I wanted him to come and let me into my paid room, he told me didn’t want to deal with me and was cancelling my room. He also threatened to call the police on me. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL!!

The entire city is an example of kindness and caring. The owner was able to accommodate odd check in timing due to other things that were going on. The location is perfect ---on the water and walkable everywhere!!

Considering my husband had to place a call for not just ourselves but two other groups and later a third to get us into the building and Assignment of a room. For the cost of this place I would have expected a higher level of service. 4 groups walking in from Porto had to wait until we could get assistance through our phone. Unbelievable to have to wait for service in this way. This was extremely unfortunate and will be noted by several in their respective reviews.

Great location, just off the Camino de Santiago. Very friendly hosts, intent on making your stay comfortable. We had read on Hotels.com that checkin ended at 3:30 then restarted in the evening, but this is more a reflection of the restaurant opening hours. The host is available for late afternoon checkin as well. The pre-ordered breakfast for €8.50 is highly recommended - it is waiting outside your door in the morning, giving you flexibility for your morning departure, if you wish to leave early.

Das hotel wird samt Bar von einem Pärchen geführt. Die beiden sind einfach zauberhaft. Die Unterkunft ist einfach aber ausreichend und in der Bar kann man hervorragend essen.

A Brilliant little guest house and the attached restaurant was excellent too (good food and good value - if you're staying there don't waste your time looking for anywhere else to eat).

Samuel and Andrea went above and beyond to make us at home. I had just fallen and broke my wrist , and Samuel drove me to the hospital. Later we had a great dinner at their restaurant!! A highlight of our trip.

Gastfreundschaft vom feinsten! Sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Da wir (Pilger) sehr müde ankamen, brachte man uns sogar Kühlbeutel aufs Zimmer, um unsere müden Beine zu pflegen. Unser Abendessen nahmen wir im dazugehörenden Restaurant ein - zum Glück! Es war sehr lecker und die Bedienung ein Traum. Die Betten (eher weiche Matratzen) für unsere Rücken ideal.

I was disappointed because this place is listed as a hotel and the room in the picture is nothing like the room we actually stayed in. The room was very small and the view was a small window and stool in front of it to sit on and see the water. There was a coffee maker and water with glasses. The bed was 2 metal cots pushed together with multicolored polka dot sheets. It looked like a college student dorm room. This was our last place of 5 on our road trip in northern Portugal. I was very disappointed and glad that I didn’t reserve 2 days. I missed the fact that there was no air conditioning. However there was an electric fan and we left window open. That was okay but noisy outside with the window open. It was super hard to find the location that in part was due to a detour but also there is no picture of the exterior of the building shown. I think the owner was kind as she helped us when I called but the place was more of a hostel or AIR BNB room than a hotel. I would not stay again or recommend.

Close to the Camino trail, clean, small, no air conditioning had to leave the window open, above the restaurant. Beautiful view It’s above okay.
