Vernals Best Value Inn

There was a full size fridge in the room, so that was nice. We were able to doordash dinner to us and then walk like 300 ft to the bowling alley and arcade for a fun night. The gentleman at the front desk when we checked in was friendly and gave some advise on places to eat around the hotel. Overall, we would stay here again, but we would bring our own pillows. They were not very comfortable.

I bought laundry soap 2 for $5 and gave the guy a $20. He gave me $10 in change keeping an extra $5. Sheets stained and wrinkled. Room smells funky and the walls are damaged and partially repaired. No noise proofing in the walls with loud neighbors next door. Pillows probably purchased from goodwill. You get what you pay for and $60 is probably a bit steep for this place. Washing machine is also out of order.

Was ok place some renovations to update going on. Was clean, minimal breakfast. Desk guy was helpful. Plenty of food around area. Had sufficient supplies. Is connected with super 8 motels.

Pretty nice. - had a small issue with room but the staff sorted it promptly. Only downside is that the WiFi signal is a bit weak (you probably need a few meshed UniFi devices to reach all rooms). Would stay again

I arrived after normal business hours and the front desk clerk was extremely helpful and friendly. The price was incredible. Parking was easy. It might not be a very fancy place to stay, but it was a very comfortable place to stay. I'll be returning to Vernal, everybso often and this will probably be my go to hotel when I go and stay there overnight. Other than crumbs under the cushion of the lounge chair the room was well cleaned and stocked with the expected essentials.

Although I showed up after hours, the host was quick to respond to my late night check-in. The room was clean, and the A.C. was cool. The continental breakfast was a bonus in the morning before getting back on the road. It was an excellent place to sleep while traveling through a beautiful section of Utah, and I would patronize them again! Recommended.

Rooms were very dirty, doors had been broken by previous vacationers. Holes had been punched into the backside of bathroom doors. AC didn’t work in 1 of the 4 rooms we had reserved. Property manager was rude and threatening when I approached him about the condition of the rooms, he followed me back to the room to continue the conversation which I thought was very creepy, border line need to call the police.

If I could offer a zero star review about this stay, I would. The biggerst complaint I have is the cleanliness. The whole room just gave off the dingy atmosphere of a place that hadn't seen a good enough cleaning in awhile. On the surface it was clean, but when you look closer you notice stains on the bed sheets, walls, and more. All of this wouldn't have been a huge issue until my dog found a dead mouse in our room. We decided to leave and just suffer the late night four hour drive back to SLC. When I talked to the man behind the desk, John is his name I believe, he was all apologetic about the situation, and accepted full responsibility for it when I showed him the pictures. He instructed me to call our booking agency and request a refund, and he would approve it when they called him. Well, we did that and he denied us our refund. He also failed to mention anything about a pet fee and charged my card without discussing the issue with me He then told his boss a string of lies. Starting with telling her he asked me if I had a pet when I checked in and I told him we did not. So he claims that I lied to him, even though no conversation about this took place. He claimed there was no mouse or dead critter in the room when he checked after we left. He also told her that I said my dog had dragged the mouse in, which was not the case. Overall, I am unhappy about this stay and would have rather just slept in my car under a bridge, if Vernal had any bridges that is.

A cockroach flew into the headboard, then landed n the bed. There was no garbage can in the room or bathroom. The Kleenex dispenser was empty.

The room was overall disgusting. There were bugs everywhere, on the bathroom sink, on the bed… nothing was clean. It looked like the room had not been cleaned in a long time. There was a body wash provided for the shower but no hand soap for hand washing. We slept on top of the covers fully clothed. The only nice thing about the stay was the manager Katie was really nice.

The bathroom door didn’t shut all the way. Half the lights did not work. The bathrooms were not clean. There was a pubic hair on the toilet seat. There was a wet dirty towel in the shower with bugs on it. The whole place stunk. There where no remotes to the TVs. There are no phones in the rooms to contact the Front desk. When we did tell her there were no remotes, she replied, I knew that. Then why didn’t she tell us. I would not ever recommend this place to ANYONE! They won’t give me my money back. So I had to pay for something I didn’t even use.

I had booked the Quality Inn a few months in advance, but on arrival, they had over booked and didn't have a room for us. So scrambling, we ended up at Vernals Best Value Inn. It was late at night and we were put in what they described as the "dungeon". It is behind the main rooms in a back lot. Very old and run down. Upon opening the door, I knew it was going to be rough. After a few minutes in the room, I noticed bugs everywhere. So called to see if they had better accommodations. He then said, we'll put you in a deluxe room. Weird that this wasn't offered upon check-in, but the move was a slightly better one. Long story short, this place worked in a pinch but wouldn't stay here again. Very old and run down. Seems like there are folks that live full time or for long stays in this hotel. Definitely wasn't the ideal.

It's run down. Things didn't work inside the room. Light switches, sink faucet, shower head, toilet running, heater was a stand up plug in radiant type, bed was missing the bed spread.

Refrigerator didn’t work. Only one outlet available and posed a trip hazard across the path to the bathroom

The TV didn't work and the bathroom sink drained very slowly. Other than that everything was fine

Bed was comfortable, place was quite, shower was great, door lock was solid, walls needed a new paint job

Outdated, could not get keys to door working after spending 30 -45 mins We left and found another hotel

The AC was loud enough to wait you up in the middle of the night. It needs a remodel to get your phone to be charged. A bit awkward.

I asked the hotel a question through text about 2 hours before the cancel deadline about pet fees because I didn’t see it when I made the reservation. (Apparently you have to dig for it) After the deadline to cancel, I received a phone call from the front desk clerk relaying a message from his manager. I decided I wanted to cancel my reservation but Expedia said I couldn’t. So I called the motel again and the front desk clerk said he’d call his manager about it and had me call back. Manager said to contact Expedia to get my refund back. Now, both Expedia and the motel are saying I can’t get a refund. I’m sorry but a 5.4/10 rated motel at $70/night through Expedia and charging $25 per pet is ridiculous.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Solid stay for a fair price.

Great place to stay. Went up for cowboy Christmas. Pretty central to everything in vernal. And has the old school hotel vibe.

Tranquilo, limpio, céntrico y sobre todo muy buena tarifa

all the roads around the hotel were closed down...that took me 20 munites of driving around to find it

The sign for the establishment was not on so was difficult to find. The room had no room number. The door was unlocked and wouldn’t lock. The room smelled horrible like smoke and who knows what else.

Sat right on the strip not to far from anything.

If you get there at 9:00 p.m., you have to call them and wait for them to come to the door and unlock it for you. Then they put us in a small back building instead of the nicer big buildings up front. There was mold above the toilet in the bathroom. Which I am allergic to. It made it hard for me to breathe All night. And for some reason two noisy garbage trucks, like 5:00 a.m. and again at 6:00 a.m. banging and making noise. Waking me up each time. How inconsiderate and ridiculous can garbage collectors be, doing that at a hotel so early? Honestly. Definitely not worth $75. Hotels in vernal should be way cheaper. I stayed in a nice hotel in salt lake City for $50 the night before.
