Athens Lotus Hotel

Her er den rettede version med “bus holdeplads”: Godt hotel med enkelte væsentlige udfordringer Ophold: Jeg boede på 2. sal med udsigt mod en bus holdeplads og en restaurant. Det positive: Hotellet er generelt rigtig godt. Det er rent, personalet er meget søde og hjælpsomme, og servicen er i top. Morgenmaden er også fin – faktisk over gennemsnittet. Derudover ligger hotellet rigtig godt tæt på metro, hvilket gør det nemt at komme rundt. Det negative: Desværre var der flere ting, som trak oplevelsen ned: Aircondition virkede ikke, da den var koblet sammen med et andet system på hotellet og derfor ikke kunne bruges. Værelset blev derfor meget varmt, og den eneste løsning var at åbne vinduet. Det førte dog til en del støj: Trafik fra en bus holdeplads begyndte fra kl. 06.00, og der var aktivitet allerede inden da, hvilket kunne høres selv med lukket vindue. Derudover kom der lugtgener fra restauranten om aftenen (ca. kl. 23–24), når de gjorde rent. Samlet vurdering: På grund af støj, varme og manglende søvn blev opholdet desværre påvirket negativt. Hvis man kan leve med disse forhold, er det ellers et rigtig godt hotel med mange kvaliteter.

The staff were amazing and the breakfast was great. However, someone was definitely smoking in the office and the awful smell carried through to the hotel lobby. The daily housekeeping was slightly unnecessary and I'm sure not very sustainable. Our room was unbearably hot however, the staff accommodated this by turning down the AC to 17 degrees. This is still very, VERY hot to sleep in and they are all controlled centrally, so you can't turn it down individually in your room. The room is very dated and you had to use the shower in a hand-held fashion, which is really annoying. It doesn't sit right in the holder so you can't wash your long hair properly and when it sits in the holder, it sprays onto the shower screen and then leaks onto the floor. Our wardrobe cupboad didn't have any doors on. It's marketed as a four star, but it definitely isn't - perhaps more 2.5 stars.

Nice hotel with good location, spacious room with comfortable bed, good location with easy access to metro, rooms are clean, breakfast was great and hotel staff are excellent.

Nice hotel, great location and super friendly staff. The rooms are compact but comfortable, the hotel is in a nice, quiet, safe, residential area, 2 mins walk from an underground station, 15 mins from the train station.
