The property had a very nice, clean swimming pool. The room was small, but it was very clean and comfortable with a view of the Suwannee River.

The room was clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Pillows comfy. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. Road noise a bit loud. Balcony was great. Right on the water. Beautiful out door areas to relax and rewind. We will be back. Plan to stay in a cabin next time. As for the area…there’s a small restaurant across the road with games for free. It’s literally chicken tenders, frozen appetizers and ice cream. It’s all we need for the evening though. Convenience store also right across street. Fanning springs is literally less than 5 minutes away. Very pretty area. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We did have one small issue with toilet overflowing but they were on top of it. Offering help right away. Kids got the s’mores snackle box and we bought a $5 bundle of fire wood. It was great bonding time for our family, and like I said previously we will be back.

Great little motel. Rooms were very clean and stocked with essential items. Pool was nice and even had friends come by to swim and visit. It’s has a beautiful view of the Swanee River . Also has a nice fire pit and setting areas to enjoy the outdoors. Owners were very nice and eager to help with anything. Definitely a nice spot for a good night sleep. We will be back.

Wonderful place ! Unique, nostalgic what I call Old Roadside Travel Lodge ver reminiscent of the 50/60’s. Very well cared for and kept. The “backyard “ by the river is great. Fire pits, small pavilion, different sitting areas, huge dock at the water. I stayed in a very newly remodeled room. Very nice-not what I was expecting. Comfy bed, large shower, little terrace off the back just right for morning coffee, although I used the pavilion since it was raining and wanted to be closer to the water. Very friendly and hospitable staff !! Definitely look forward to staying there again ! Well done, Suwannee Gables 👏👏👏

This motel has been renovated so well! It's updated with a nice deck on the backside to enjoy the Suwannee River and has a wonderful gathering yard on the river for guests to enjoy. They've done a great job with this property and are very friendly. I would recommend staying here to anyone wanting to enjoy the area and the river!

It is a convenient location close to the state park with a wonderful backyard overlooking the Suwannee River. There is a wonderful Sweet shop across the street from the motel and some excellent dining up and down the highway.

We were very happy with our stay here. The room was comfortable and clean. SmartTV, refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave all worked great. They made our one night stay more convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay again!

We walked in room smelled very bad. Checked the bed linens were dirty with stains & hair. Pillow cases had stains, blood or makeup. Never cleaned!! Looked like it was from the 1950's, never update. We walked out, turned key in said we are not staying here. This place was horribly disgusting. I don't see how anybody could stay in that place you want to call a hotel.

Old style Florida motor lodge. Slightly outdated, but room was clean and bed was comfortable. Perfect for our 1 night stopover with our dog. Beautiful riverfront park-like space.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. Bring your own toilet paper and kleenex. The tp was EXTREMELY thin, no kleenex. Also, a deck of cards. The wifi was sporadic and so no tv. Beautiful setting on the Suawnee River, but alittle noise from US 19. The pool looked nice, although we didn't use it. The beds are comfortable and the room was extremely clean and updated. I would go back.

This is a great little roadside motel. Remodeled and fresh paint. I would say I did not give 5 stars for 2 reasons: the price is just high for both the area and the type of motel it is. I would normally expect to pay $100 not $200. And the “balconies” you kind of anticipate having an actual balcony over the river but it’s really just a little deck built behind each room. They are cute but I would not really consider that a balcony. Very close to Fanning Springs. Pretty loud at night due to trucks on the road outside.

Saw this on Motel Rescue and decided to make a weekend of the springs and antique shopping with my husband and daughter. It was a wonderful stay! I wish we could’ve had a balcony with a better view but we will definitely be back!

We were very happy with our stay here. The room was comfortable and clean. SmartTV, refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave all worked great. They made our one night stay more convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay again!

Beautiful out door areas to relax and rewind. We will be back. Plan to stay in a cabin next time. As for the area…there’s a small restaurant across the road with games for free. It’s literally chicken tenders, frozen appetizers and ice cream. It’s all we need for the evening though. Convenience store also right across street. Fanning springs is literally less than 5 minutes away. Very pretty area. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We did have one small issue with toilet overflowing but they were on top of it. Offering help right away. Kids got the s’mores snackle box and we bought a $5 bundle of fire wood. It was great bonding time for our family, and like I said previously we will be back.

Beautiful setting on the Suawnee River, but alittle noise from US 19. The pool looked nice, although we didn't use it. The beds are comfortable and the room was extremely clean and updated. I would go back.

Wonderful place ! Unique, nostalgic what I call Old Roadside Travel Lodge ver reminiscent of the 50/60’s. Very well cared for and kept. The “backyard “ by the river is great. Fire pits, small pavilion, different sitting areas, huge dock at the water. I stayed in a very newly remodeled room. Very nice-not what I was expecting. Comfy bed, large shower, little terrace off the back just right for morning coffee, although I used the pavilion since it was raining and wanted to be closer to the water. Very friendly and hospitable staff !! Definitely look forward to staying there again ! Well done, Suwannee Gables 👏👏👏

The location on the river was beautiful & perfect for my husband who loves to fish. The cabin we stayed in was very charming & clean. The staff were all very nice & helpful. We have family (snowbirds) that stay nearby so we will be staying here again!

This motel has been renovated so well! It's updated with a nice deck on the backside to enjoy the Suwannee River and has a wonderful gathering yard on the river for guests to enjoy. They've done a great job with this property and are very friendly. I would recommend staying here to anyone wanting to enjoy the area and the river!

Great little motel. Rooms were very clean and stocked with essential items. Pool was nice and even had friends come by to swim and visit. It’s has a beautiful view of the Swanee River . Also has a nice fire pit and setting areas to enjoy the outdoors. Owners were very nice and eager to help with anything. Definitely a nice spot for a good night sleep. We will be back.

This is a great little roadside motel. Remodeled and fresh paint. I would say I did not give 5 stars for 2 reasons: the price is just high for both the area and the type of motel it is. I would normally expect to pay $100 not $200. And the “balconies” you kind of anticipate having an actual balcony over the river but it’s really just a little deck built behind each room. They are cute but I would not really consider that a balcony. Very close to Fanning Springs. Pretty loud at night due to trucks on the road outside.

Everything was perfect during my stay. Checking in and out was no problem. The staff was there to answer any questions I had. This place is perfect for boating and sking. With the river as your back yard what else could you ask for. I will be returning to the area and stay here.

It is a convenient location close to the state park with a wonderful backyard overlooking the Suwannee River. There is a wonderful Sweet shop across the street from the motel and some excellent dining up and down the highway.

Was quick stop on way home. Owner very helpful. Awesome area with river right behind the motel. Room clean, bathroom small but how big do you need it. Wonderful restaurant that we were informed about and food was excellent.

I had high hopes for this place, especially after seeing it featured on Motel Rescue, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. The room itself was clean, which I appreciated, but there was a noticeable mildew/musty odor that made it uncomfortable to spend much time inside. The riverfront setting is beautiful and has a lot of potential, but the grounds need significant upkeep. There were cobwebs throughout, and many of the outdoor furnishings looked either unsafe or unused for quite some time—I didn’t feel comfortable sitting on them. One of the more confusing aspects of our stay was the lack of a proper check-in process. There was no office, and the only person initially available to help us was a contractor who had just demolished the office building. He eventually flagged down some staff members driving by in a golf cart, and they checked us in that way. This situation could have been much smoother with clear communication ahead of arrival. Our room did include a small deck, which was a nice feature and offered a bit of relief from the indoor smell. However, it also had cobwebs and signs of neglect, which made it hard to fully enjoy. While it technically overlooked the river, the view was quite limited. The highlight of our stay was dinner nearby at Suwannee Belle Landing—I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area. Overall, with better maintenance and clearer communication, this property could be a much more enjoyable place to stay.

This is an older motel that the owners have really fixed up. Rooms clean, beds new and clean, bathrooms redone and clean. Great little deck for sitting just outside your room. Fridge and microwave in room. Only downside—— no counter space in bathroom, one electrical outlet at beds, 1 dresser with tv on it so little counter space there. They need the tv on the wall to give a little more space. Beautiful spot on the river!
