Great staff!! Ended up in an upgraded room that was a 2 room suite. Large and comfortable. This hotel is next to a very busy hwy. but the layout does mitigate the noise mostly. The bed was very comfortable. Large bathroom with a tub and shower. Great water pressure in the shower! They offer a couple EV chargers for hotel guest's use...free. they have bikes available. Offer a free breakfast buffet, cookies, evening wine and cheese, and keep coffee going all day.

Staff was amazing, rooms were clean/nice and loved the little balconies. The view/sitting area out the back was nice as well. No restaurant or bar on property made it hard and the area wasnt one we wanted to go venture out.

My stay at Acqua Hotel is always so pleasant… I come here about once a month on recurring business. I loved the views from my room, the soaking tub & salts are always an enjoyable amenity, the breakfast buffet is delicious, and the staff is very courteous. Isaac was especially kind and attentive. I’m still missing the gym as an important commodity, I hope they find a new contract soon. Thank you!

Awesome boutique hotel close to SFO! Has pleasant views of the water. A little noisy due to the freeway but overall convenient. Good breakfast options. Glasshouse with firepit and the evening wine/cheese pairing was a nice touch. Has free bikes for a ride down the bike path. Staff were helpful and made us feel welcome. Definitely recommend!

Very friendly staff, great wine choices for a complimentary happy hour in the evening, warm cookies when we returned from dinner, convenient 24 hour tea and coffee area, amazing free breakfast with a view…. And on and on. We stayed here and spent our time in Sausalito and then went on to San Francisco- the location of this hotel was very convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

Great rooms, great views, great staff, great perks, marred slightly by the location right next to the 101 freeway and in an office park. Lots of noise when sitting outside, ok in rooms, and nowhere to walk to. But, if you can get past that, which is significant, you get modern rooms, all with a view of the bay, free breakfast (which is seriously good), free bike rentals, free wine and cheese in the evening, free cookies at night, friendly service, and the Bay. No view of SF, but nice mountain view. Will be boggy depending on tide, but waterfowl didn't care. Nice bike/walking path around, just nowhere you can actually walk to under a few miles, i.e., no restaurants, bars, etc. But again, other than that and the freeway noise, this place is top notch.

This has been my favorite room so far… and I’ve stayed at Acqua several times, I’ve been returning about once a month to see clients in the Marin area and I simply love the convenient location, amenities, water views from the balcony, soaking tub, and overall service. Isaac was extremely helpful. The only thing I wish for is a new contract to be made with a local gym - that’s the only thing missing! Everything else is exceptional. Thank you :-)

We stayed here for our anniversary and the staff had left us a bottle of champagne in our room for us! We thought that was a very nice surprise. We stayed in the junior king suite. It was a ground floor unit with a patio to sit and view the bay. We used the fire pits on the second floor screened in sunroom. It was great for the cool nights. They offer wine, cheese and fruit every evening along with fresh baked cookies. This hotel seems to have been recently updated, they thought of everything down to providing cotton swabs and cotton balls in the bathroom. Staff was very friendly. Full breakfast every morning was very good. We loved the location as it was easy to get to Napa Valley, Sausalito and San Francisco. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

This is one of my favorite hotels! The staff if just the best. Margee the front desk clerk couldn’t be sweeter. She’s so helpful and just amazing! From 5pm-7pm in the lobby they serve wine (during our stay there were 9 varieties), 3-4 types of cheese, a nice selection of crackers, sweet grapes and strawberries. There’s sofas & comfy chairs around a huge fireplace and waterfall feature to enjoy yo refreshments at. At around 7:30 they bring out freshly baked warm cookies. The breakfast they serve every morning is absolutely delicious! Everything you can think of. They even have a barista to make specialty coffee drinks and it’s included!! Lots of the rooms have balconies that overlook the beautiful lake out back. In your room you have a mini fridge which comes in very handy. We had a king suite and it was wonderful. The sofa made out into another bed. The bathroom was huge. It hade a large soaking tub and a separate shower with a rain type shower head. There was a tiny mixup with our room which was really not that big of a fdeal and we didn’t mind at all but because the staff are so amazing, they sent up a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolate. The room was immaculate, the bed was so comfortable and even the sofa was comfortable to sit on. They even had 2 cozy robes there for us to use. I give Aqua a 10 out of 10. It’s the nicest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. We’ve stayed here twice and we will be back again soon!!!!!

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We had a double queen room overlooking the Richardson Bay estuary, it was a beautiful view, the room was immaculately clean, beds were comfortable and dressed with beautiful bedding. There was early evening cheese and wine, followed by fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies, and a wonderful buffet breakfast in the morning. Would stay at the Acqua again.

Very clean. Hard working, friendly staff who seemed committed to our having a wonderful time! Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Shared spaces were lovely. Breakfast was wonderful. Shower head was low and the room had an odd smell, but we were able to open the sliding glass doors and air it out. We stayed here during our visit to Muir Woods and San Francisco. Wonderfully located for both! We would stay again.

The room was clean and had lovely and convenient amenities. The breakfast that was included was both delicious and had a great variety, staff was informative and friendly and the location and convenience to Sausalito was beautiful. I would definitely come back here and highly recommend it.

Lovely hotel with a very spacious room with everything we needed. Great breakfast included too! Only downside was that the hotel is right next to the highway which can be heard from your room if you a light sleeper.

I was given room 101 and the door faces a busy road and parking lot. It was too noisy to sleep. The room had a moldy smell and the ac did not work properly. The manager said they were fully booked so no upgrades available. He gave me a $40 credit. I did not stay overnight and left at 10pm. I will not stay here again.

Great beds pillows and outlook, breakfast is very good too but the rooms need updating, the bathroom vanities faucet and mirrors are all really tired. The lighting isn’t great and for $300 plus it needs to be more up to date I’d stay there again but they really need to refresh the place

The hotel is in a great location on the water, clean, bright and spacious rooms. The views are stunning. The breakfast is excellent offering hot & cold options with a coffee bar for lattes, etc. They offer free wine & cheese and cookies everyday. The front desk staff were so very nice too. The one downside was not having a safe in the room especially when you’re on the frat floor with sliding glass doors. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is lovely. I have stayed there many times, always on the second floor. This time my room was on the first floor, and the noise from above and in the hallway outside the room was terrible. I will ask for a second floor room for future stays.

We had a fabulous stay! The front desk staff were so friendly and incredibly kind to our little Boston Terrier — giving her toys, treats, and TLC. Our room had a terrace that looked out onto a peaceful body of water, like we were a world away from the bustle of things. High ceilings, a comfy bed, and a stylish bathroom were some of the highlights we enjoyed in our room. Not to mention an abundant continental breakfast each morning. We would love to stay here again!

The hotel property sits on a sliver of waterfront right next to the 101. Its pretty but "tight". When we checked in, there was an issue with the room which was quickly rectified and we were given another room. No questions asked.

The room we booked was really poor quality. It was a delux queen, we’ve stayed a number of times in a junior suite so assumed it would be a smaller version of that. It was very dated, dark, the ‘partial view’ was blocked by a tree. Patio had a large concrete wall making it feel claustrophobic. Needed to be updated considerably. My husband went to desk to ask for help, they upgraded us which was great, nice room. However when we came back after dinner the man at the desk was quite nasty with us, saying we shouldn’t expect to be upgraded, next time book the room we want. Really inappropriate for a hospitality person to speak like that. Certainly ruined our evening. We have enjoyed the hotel in the past but will skip it going forward.

Everything about Acqua was superb. A great breakfast (included), Happy Hour, cookies at night, staff, the property itself. We would happily return if we visit again in the future. Noteworthy were staff members, Genevieve, Phron, and Randy. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

The Aqua is an awesome place to stay. We had just gotten married. They put a bottle of champagne in our room with chocolates. It was super special.

Staff and facilities were excellent. Very good breakfast choices but some variation in hot foods offered would be appreciated. Main problem we had was that location of hotel next to highway makes it complicated to drive to and from other locations in Mill Valley.

We have stayed several times a year at the Acqua ever since it opened. My husband and I both love the amazing interior design, And the location on Richardson Bay. Most rooms have a beautiful water view. Terrific service and easy parking. The breakfast bar is quite good. Great access to the nature in Marin and San Francisco.

Great location, we couldn’t hear the freeway next to us. The room was amazing, large bathroom with a tub, nice view of the water. We missed the wine reception by a half hour but they gave us a glass of wine anyway, and a cookie. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Nice restaurants within walking distance along a nice path next to the water. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Parking was good too.

Awesome boutique hotel close to SFO! Has pleasant views of the water. A little noisy due to the freeway but overall convenient. Good breakfast options. Glasshouse with firepit and the evening wine/cheese pairing was a nice touch. Has free bikes for a ride down the bike path. Staff were helpful and made us feel welcome. Definitely recommend!

So close to the Golden Gate Bridge if going to San Francisco. Close to the highway if going North (Napa, Sonoma etc). Quiet and with a great peaceful view. Super friendly personnel. Would definitely go back.

Great rooms, great views, great staff, great perks, marred slightly by the location right next to the 101 freeway and in an office park. Lots of noise when sitting outside, ok in rooms, and nowhere to walk to. But, if you can get past that, which is significant, you get modern rooms, all with a view of the bay, free breakfast (which is seriously good), free bike rentals, free wine and cheese in the evening, free cookies at night, friendly service, and the Bay. No view of SF, but nice mountain view. Will be boggy depending on tide, but waterfowl didn't care. Nice bike/walking path around, just nowhere you can actually walk to under a few miles, i.e., no restaurants, bars, etc. But again, other than that and the freeway noise, this place is top notch.

This was a beautiful spot for a weekend am get away. The staff were so friendly. The area is wonderful and there is a walking path that allows you to take a scenic walks to some great dining locations. Also highly recommend Hook Fish Co. Which is also accessible via the walking path. We will definitely stay here again.

Our family had a great experience at the Acqua Hotel! An ideal location in Marin. Complimentary breakfast & parking. The hotel runs along side of the highway, but we couldn't hear the traffic at all in our rooms. I believe all rooms overlook Richardson Bay. Extremely courteous staff!

It's a pretty good hotel. The close proximity to the Muir Woods and SF was very convenient for our family trip. However, it felt a bit short of my expectations. There were some minor issues and even with the free breakfast and parking, I didn't find it a good value based on the amount we paid.

It was wayyyyyy overpriced for the condition it was in. Bathroom extremely dated, the mirror was broken on the corner edges. The complementary breakfast was terrible. The pillows were also terible and uncomfortable. I honestly wish I would've chose somewhere else to stay.

Very friendly staff, great wine choices for a complimentary happy hour in the evening, warm cookies when we returned from dinner, convenient 24 hour tea and coffee area, amazing free breakfast with a view…. And on and on. We stayed here and spent our time in Sausalito and then went on to San Francisco- the location of this hotel was very convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was extremely helpful with all of my questions about things to see in the city. I ended up extending my reservation an extra day. The wine cheese and cookies are a nice touch and breakfast is amazing with even a barista.

The breakfast buffet is awesome. The staff is helpful. The views out the rooms with balconies are awesome. We have stayed here a couple of times and will definitely be back. The rooms are starting to show a bit of wear (desk unit chipped and faded) but rooms are still very nice.

Included in the rate is the absolute best self-serve buffet breakfast I've ever had. They have hot items like bacon, Mango chicken sausage, scrambled eggs, oatmeal (veggie frittata is delicious) and cold items, fresh whole and sliced fruits, muffins, bagels, juices, coffee and tea. My room was comfortable, quiet, looked out to the bay and Mount Tamalpais and there's a nice shoreline walk (I am convinced I saw a sea otter). On Christmas Eve I found a 4-piece box of chocolate at my door--so sweet. Thank you!

Excellent location. Beautiful setting. Nice room overlooking the lagoon. It is an old property which has been renovated. Comfortable beds, nice linen and towels, good products in the bathroom. Thank you for the wine and chocolates! The hit freshly baked cookies in the evening were delicious. Cosy lobby. Breakfast could be tastier and improved. It was a great effort at a buffet, but the quality could be better. Hotter coffee, riper fruit, tastier frittata .. Overall good stay.

Very clean room. Great location. The staff was super helpful in recommending things to do. The breakfast was so amazing that it actually got my teenager out of bed for it. Parking was okay… as we did have to park in back but our room was up front and the walkway to the front rooms should have been lit up better at night. Overall was a great experience and we would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for July 4th to get away from the city fireworks noise. I don’t know if they jacked up the price because of the holiday, but after taxes and an additional $50 “pet fee” (why?), we paid around $550 for 1 night here. That is my main complaint-the exorbitant price point for what you get. The hotel itself is fine- very clean room, nicely appointed (nothing fancy or 5 star but more than adequate), very friendly staff. Decent complimentary breakfast, nice view of the bay. The cons- right off the freeway and far from town, walls are extremely thin and we could hear everything going on in the room next door. The couple staying there apparently had to catch a red eye or something or woke us at 4am packing and making all kinds of noise. When we finally fell back asleep, the fire alarm shocked us awake (and terrified our little dog) at 8am. Manager said someone was smoking in their room. Also, we booked through a 3rd party site and because of this there was no option to let the hotel know we were coming with our dog (we were not aware this was required). They only let you stay on the 1st floor with a dog, and that floor was full. The manager kindly made an exception for us. The hotel was full of dogs-so if you are not a dog person, maybe choose another place. Our stay was unfortunately not the relaxing get-away from the city we anticipated. When I checked out I mentioned all this to the manager when he asked how our stay was, and he was very professional and apologetic.
