Stunning place that truly feels like a home away from home, with the atmosphere and relaxed elegance of a private members’ club in London but the cottage seaside version. There’s a cosy living room with port, a small library/office, an honesty bar and a games room, as well as a beautiful pool area and garden. The staff were absolutely lovely and very service minded, and the breakfast was plentiful and of a very high standard. We stayed for five nights and genuinely felt at home throughout our stay. The location has a wonderfully relaxed coastal feel and is within easy walking distance of shops and cafes in Kalk Bay. The ocean promenade and tidal pools are just across the road, while Cape Town is only about a 30-minute drive away. The only minor downside is that traffic on Main Road can sometimes be a little noisy. Apart from that, I really have nothing to complain about. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Honesty bar available, very good swimming pool with sun hats provided, short stroll to restaurants, the quality of which was variable. Plenty of shops to suit all tastes.
