Ruth was an excellent host. She was generous and made things as simple as she could. One note - parking is not included. Ruth recommended an inexpensive paid lot a few blocks away. This is a downtown area with limited overnight parking available so we were grateful for her help.

Honestly, so great for the price. But if you have a car, it means you have to go down the street and park it overnight. There is a 24 hour parking lot just two blocks away.

Excellent staff and good food at restaurant. Easy access. Felt safe. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was firm. Shower head was not that great. Unable to adjust and shot water all over. Not a big deal though. Biggest issue was traffic noise. It was a Friday night and there was lots of traffic, horns honking, scooters. The property is right on the corner and my window faced the intersection.

The good things are that it is in the heart of an area thats good for shopping (and some bars & restaurants) plus it is clean so quite good for a short stay. The downside of being downtown is that some traffic can be little noisy but i would definitely stay there again.

Very nice and chill staff. The free breakfast was filling and pretty good. The room was clean and not super fancy, but it worked. The only downside was the noise from the street.

Great value for a overnight stay prior to flying out of SJO. Very clean, friendly staff, wonderful Tico breakfast. Great value if all you need is a good place to spend the night prior to your flight. Uber to the airport was only 4,000 colones ($8.00) during the day. Great location in the heart of the city. Next to the beautiful Cathedral and park. The old military barracks is now one of the best history museums in Costa Rica. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby.

Room was very clean, bright and airy. Good shower and hot water. Good air conditioner, but wish they also had a fan. Friendly staff. Daytime noise from the street, but was quiet after around 9 pm.

Very clean, great location, wonderful staff. A bit of street noise until later in the evening. Beautiful place to watch the sunset from the 3rd floor. Oh, and parrots flying by!

We booked this hotel at the last minute due to a flight change and it worked quite well for us. Our room was at the back on the third floor, so very little traffic noise. It was quite empty so we didn’t hear any neighbours. The twin beds were comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water. The air conditioning was a little too good so we were rather cold. It appeared to only have on and off with no change to the temperature setting available. The included breakfast was excellent. Rice and beans, fried plantains, eggs made to order, toast and a fruit plate.

Muy bien todo, solo la habitación y baño son bastante pequeños, pero todo lo demás excelente! Por el precio y la ubicación perfecto para tenerlo como hotel cuando uno llega o se va al aeropuerto!

When booking the hotel I read previous reviewers who had advised against a room on the ground floor because of the level of street noise. I requested a room above street level. When I arrived I was allocated Room 1 on street level nearest the front door and reception. The room allocated was clean and the bed comfortable but could have done with a paint and decorating refresh. The Air conditioning unit didn’t work for anymore than 20 minutes at a time. My main issue was the noise level. Until 1am traffic noise outside and the receptionist playing music and games on his/her phone and from 4.30am 🙁 road repair work started directly outside my room / hotel. The breakfast provided by the hotel was fine. I was pleased the stay was only one evening. The area around the hotel was fine with plenty eating options available within 10 minutes walk. The hotel is situated a 10 minutes drive from the international airport and that is the reason I stayed in the area due to me having an early morning flight to Panama.

Hotel didn't respond to messages about arranging a transfer in advance of stay. I arrived late (11pm) and had to wake someone up to get in to the hotel. Also noone around in the morning for early check out (7am).

Friendly Staff. They tried hard to make it nice. I didn’t like all the towels placed on the public couch when the rooms are clean. Then clean towels are placed on same couch before being put into room. Getting in and out during the night time, you have to hope someone hears the bell or you are stuck outside. Occasional characters walking on side walk asking for money.

Staff was very helpful. They overbooked our room at Park View so gave us an Uber ride to their sister hotel Tucan a few blocks away. Very nice people. Room was quieter at the Tucan. Great breakfast to go. Wonderful coffee!!

I liked it was close to airport it was ok for one night until I tried to leave because I had a early flight, and found out that all doors had been locked, building with one way out IMO its an tragedy waiting to happen. after ringing the bell at least 20 times like the sign said and nocking on a few doors and about 15 minutes of the Uber waiting someone finally opened the door. to let us out no apology or nothing just opened the door and went back in room to sleep

We booked this hotel because it was close to the airport and we had a 7:00am flight. Hotel was ok not tte greatest, staff was great. My biggest complaint is the location which is right on a busy street, you hear a lot of street noise. Not an area you would feel safe walking around in either. If all you need is a place to lay your head for a cheap price, this is it.

This place was amazing ..we stayed here while we attended a lafc soccer game ... the hotel was super clean ...... great views ..the staff was awesome ...i loved this hotel ... right in the middle of the city ... it can get a bit loud with the cars passing by in the morning, but im a deep sleeper so itndidmt bother me ... hot showers ...excellent staff

This place was amazing ..we stayed here while we attended a lafc soccer game ... the hotel was super clean ...... great views ..the staff was awesome ...i loved this hotel ... right in the middle of the city ... it can get a bit loud with the cars passing by in the morning, but im a deep sleeper so itndidmt bother me ... hot showers ...excellent staff

Very clean, great location, wonderful staff. A bit of street noise until later in the evening. Beautiful place to watch the sunset from the 3rd floor. Oh, and parrots flying by!

We booked this hotel at the last minute due to a flight change and it worked quite well for us. Our room was at the back on the third floor, so very little traffic noise. It was quite empty so we didn’t hear any neighbours. The twin beds were comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water. The air conditioning was a little too good so we were rather cold. It appeared to only have on and off with no change to the temperature setting available. The included breakfast was excellent. Rice and beans, fried plantains, eggs made to order, toast and a fruit plate.

Great value for a overnight stay prior to flying out of SJO. Very clean, friendly staff, wonderful Tico breakfast. Great value if all you need is a good place to spend the night prior to your flight. Uber to the airport was only 4,000 colones ($8.00) during the day. Great location in the heart of the city. Next to the beautiful Cathedral and park. The old military barracks is now one of the best history museums in Costa Rica. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby.

I only stayed for one night before continuing my travels and it provided me exactly what I needed. A bed and a shower. The breakfast in the morning was great. Isaac was very helpful and kind.

Staff was very helpful. They overbooked our room at Park View so gave us an Uber ride to their sister hotel Tucan a few blocks away. Very nice people. Room was quieter at the Tucan. Great breakfast to go. Wonderful coffee!!

Excellent staff and good food at restaurant. Easy access. Felt safe. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was firm. Shower head was not that great. Unable to adjust and shot water all over. Not a big deal though. Biggest issue was traffic noise. It was a Friday night and there was lots of traffic, horns honking, scooters. The property is right on the corner and my window faced the intersection.

To begin with my wife and I are both handicapped which they were advised off on reservation and they put us on the third floor with no elevators. No my wife said no so they put on the first floor in a non-handicapped room, which was next to an unoccupied handicapped room. Our tiny room had no handicap adaptations. Four feet from central desk and very noisy. Sheets were torn and no soap or shampoo in the shower. Go figure. When we arrived the restaurant was çlosed. The chef was sick. The restaurant has four tables and we were under the impression that it was a bigger operation. There is no area for smoking so we had to go outside and stand on the sidewalk. It rained cats and dogs so needless to say, we got wet. The only good thing was the price and the nearness of the park and museum.

The rooms are very noisy from the street that you caanot sleep, unkept and very old. Not clean as I like it, the staff was very good and so the breakfast, but I don't recomend the place only for the location.

No car ,reasonable , clean a little run down handy to airport helpful staff ,air worked across from park lots of birds which surprised me macaws in the city great breakfast .
