We really enjoyed our one night stay. Very clean cozy room. Delicious breakfast. Very friendly service. Burnt our string light bulbs should be replaced as they really add to the evening exterior appearance and feeling. (Burnt out bulbs are a bit of a pet peeve of mine.) If you drive a larger vehicle such as a full size SUV or pickup truck, parking is almost impossible. You can only back up once you pull in and it is extremely tight.

Quick weekend trip to historic St Augustine to visit with my son who attends Flagler. B&B was in a perfect location within walking distance of everything. Breakfast was great and room as advertised. Parking was tight, but it was at least on site.

Nice B&B in an older home. Staff very friendly breakfast was great. Close to all areas and walkable. We were stuck with a large pickup truck for our rental vehicle. The parking was tight but otherwise would recommend.

The breakfast was delicious and a lot of comfort food but balanced with fruit, meat options, bread with coffee and tea. Parking is difficult because it is small but its a bed and breakfast so that's expected. Also, there's one caveat, it would be best if they had an ice maker.

Entire property needs updating. It’s tired. Parking definitely issue if have a big car. Must say provided good breakfast. Very slow but only one person handling abt a dozen people. Location to center of town walkable.

Enjoyed our 2 day stay for a wedding we attended. Kaeli was friendly and accommodating. 2 great breakfasts. 1 Heads up ... narrow driveway. large SUVS will have difficulty getting in and backing out of driveway

Wonderful setting and location. 5 minutes away from shopping and dining. Terrific, friendly staff. Our only drawback is parking. Some patrons have brought their oversized vehicles and their is only a couple inches of clearance on both sides of our vehicle leaving the parking area. Our rental vehicle sustained scratches from the shrubbery due to the oversized vehicles in the parking area. Parking is meant for compact vehicles and not trucks and large SUV's. Loved the place but we will not return due to the parking situation.

Clean and safe. We stayed in the Elizabeth room and it was great. Stand up shower and a small semi-private porch. Breakfast was from 8:30-9:30 and was prepared well. Coffee and Tea 24x7. Happy hour from 4-5 with red and white wine. You can walk to the historic district of St Augustine with no trouble. Parking is available but tight. Glad i had a small car.

Not sure how this place got an exception rating. Dated. Dirty. Parking horrible. Not response to no hot water from first day. Didn’t experience breakfast or happy hour so I won’t comment. Location is decent. Very disappointed overall.

The inn is beautiful though it needs alittle attention.The rain gutters are growing trees, the outside and porch need to be powerwashed, replace the deck chairs as almost all of them had uneven legs and breaks and the tableclothes were never changed and were quite soiled. the room itself was clean an comfortable but needs a deep clean once a month or so. very dusty on hardwood floor in corners and under bed. The service provided by annie was spectacular. she was very accomodating to all of our needs. The breakfast was very good but they only offer three different meals on a rotation. The owner is very nice but seems a bit scared. it just needs a little attention to details. the book in the room had been full for some time so i purchased a new book and left it there. perfect location, very quiet. Very much enjoyed our stay

This was once a really charming property, but has lacked upkeep and the updates that have been done have are low in quality. We didn’t have fully hot water for the first 24 hours, and after that it was decent. We opened a drawer to get an extra blanket and it was mildewed and smelled of mold. The manager’s response was that she had forgotten it was even there (she did say she was going to dispose of it). The breakfast is decent, but the happy hour consisted of stale packaged cake and carafes of unknown red and white wine. When the room was serviced, towels weren’t replaced and trash wasn’t emptied (including food and coffee grounds). On the upside, the location is fantastic and the room was very spacious.

I would love to give them 5 star but a few things prevent that. The TV was small in comparison to the room. The channel selection was limited. My biggest issue was the shower. It took a long time to get the water hot and then it would go cold during the shower. The location couldn't be better. Convenient to everything we wanted to do. Ellie was a very gracious hostess. The breakfast was great. The place could really use a deep cleaning. Overall a great 4 star experience

It was just an okay stay. The place could use some TLC. Outdoor seating was not clean. Only one staff worker on premises to do EVERYTHING. It is in a great location and breakfast was okay. The lady working was VERY nice.

We loved the location and were able to walk to the historic district restaurants and shopping. We were in the York room which was quite small and opened directly onto the porch. We were not able to control the air conditioning from this room and found it to be quite warm. Overall, a very quaint Inn in a convenient area.

We enjoyed our stay at Penny Farthing. It was a great location convenient to restaurants and shopping. Our room was small, but very cozy and had everything that we needed. We would definitely stay here again if in St. Augustine.

Excellent location in the heart of St Augustine. An easy walk to all the key places of interest, restaurants, bars etc. An excellent breakfast was provided each day. Michelle and Ellie were very friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The room and en-suite were comfortable and quiet. Thoroughly recommended. We'd have no hesitation in staying here again.

A large old house repurposed for lodging, as expected. Charming atmosphere and furnishings. Door into our room is misaligned with its door knob, practically falling off and its pass-through bolt inside, very difficult to engage. The same for the closet door, which also connects to the adjacent guest room. We arrived early, but the building was locked and empty. When we came back, the owner was there to greet us and show us around. She informed us that we would be the only occupants in the property during our stay. Shortly we left to explore the town. The following morning, we were shocked and disappointed to find a missing bottle of perfume. We we left a voicemail to the owner (Unfortunately I don’t recall her name) concerning the theft plus, informed the young lady who prepared our breakfast. By the way, breakfast was delicious. We are very disappointed that no-one returned our call.

We enjoyed our stay at Penny Farthing. The staff was friendly and helpful. We met many nice people during breakfast and just chilling on the patio. My only complaint was that in our room, The York, there was no closet and no drawers. No place to unpack our bags. It would be wonderful if the establishment purchased an armoire or something.

Clean, bed was very high, needed steps to get in. TV didnt work. Limited "full breakfast" Very convenient to area attractions, transpirtation. Parking very tight. Quiet and safe area.

Excellent location in the heart of St Augustine. An easy walk to all the key places of interest, restaurants, bars etc. An excellent breakfast was provided each day. Michelle and Ellie were very friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The room and en-suite were comfortable and quiet. Thoroughly recommended. We'd have no hesitation in staying here again.

A large old house repurposed for lodging, as expected. Charming atmosphere and furnishings. Door into our room is misaligned with its door knob, practically falling off and its pass-through bolt inside, very difficult to engage. The same for the closet door, which also connects to the adjacent guest room. We arrived early, but the building was locked and empty. When we came back, the owner was there to greet us and show us around. She informed us that we would be the only occupants in the property during our stay. Shortly we left to explore the town. The following morning, we were shocked and disappointed to find a missing bottle of perfume. We we left a voicemail to the owner (Unfortunately I don’t recall her name) concerning the theft plus, informed the young lady who prepared our breakfast. By the way, breakfast was delicious. We are very disappointed that no-one returned our call.

Entire property needs updating. It’s tired. Parking definitely issue if have a big car. Must say provided good breakfast. Very slow but only one person handling abt a dozen people. Location to center of town walkable.

This property was average; not horrible, but it definitely not a five-star experience. The location was fabulous--within easy walking distance for attractions, shopping and dining. The parking is a stone lane along the side of the building. The number of spots equals the number of rooms. If you're last in for the night, you're left with the "compact" spot with the end of your vehicle hanging out into the lane, no matter the size of your vehicle. We battled mosquitoes in the room and on the porch. One could not sit on the porch without a citronella candle and OFF! Our room was legit frigid and controlled by the adjacent room. I wore a fleece shirt and wool socks and used their extra blanket and coverlet (both doubled up on my side), and a blanket I brought from our vehicle and I wasn't too warm. We asked for a little more heat and may have gotten a degree or two.... We saw one staff person the entire three nights we were there, in the mornings to serve delicious breakfasts, in the evenings to put out wine and cheese/crackers or cake (!?), and then she left for the evening. We did not get the military discount because we booked through a third party. :-(

Quick weekend trip to historic St Augustine to visit with my son who attends Flagler. B&B was in a perfect location within walking distance of everything. Breakfast was great and room as advertised. Parking was tight, but it was at least on site.

The inn is beautiful though it needs alittle attention.The rain gutters are growing trees, the outside and porch need to be powerwashed, replace the deck chairs as almost all of them had uneven legs and breaks and the tableclothes were never changed and were quite soiled. the room itself was clean an comfortable but needs a deep clean once a month or so. very dusty on hardwood floor in corners and under bed. The service provided by annie was spectacular. she was very accomodating to all of our needs. The breakfast was very good but they only offer three different meals on a rotation. The owner is very nice but seems a bit scared. it just needs a little attention to details. the book in the room had been full for some time so i purchased a new book and left it there. perfect location, very quiet. Very much enjoyed our stay

This was a great place to stay, the rooms were big and comfortable, they had a happy hour with wine and cookies! Great location to be able to walk to restaurants , bars and activities. The owner was amazing! She made us a home made breakfast that was super good! Will stay again!

Clean and safe. We stayed in the Elizabeth room and it was great. Stand up shower and a small semi-private porch. Breakfast was from 8:30-9:30 and was prepared well. Coffee and Tea 24x7. Happy hour from 4-5 with red and white wine. You can walk to the historic district of St Augustine with no trouble. Parking is available but tight. Glad i had a small car.

My wife and I enjoyed are weekend trip to St. Augustine, especially our stay at the Penny Farthing Inn. We love the historic charm of the Inn and found our room comfortable and charming. The staff was very helpful and pleasant and provided excellent breakfast each day. We will be back.

We specifically asked about the impact of the ongoing maintenance and were told we were good, but upon arrival the room we selected was undergoing work on the bathtub and we had to choose an alternate room which has a smaller bed. No refund was offered for the difference in cost between the rooms. Signage is needed to tell us what door to go in to check in as the front door was locked when we arrived at 3 PM. All doors were locked at 6 PM and we didn't see any staff when we came back at 9:30 PM. The 'Happy Hour' is listed as: Daily happy hour Gather from 4 to 5 PM for complimentary wine, appetizers, snacks, and evening desserts It consisted of a few cookies and charcuterie plate - we expected wine or other adult beverages and other dessert options. The room was very clean and workers very nice, though not being able to adjust the AC blowing right on the bed made sleeping uncomfortable. The balcony sitting area was comfortable. Breakfast is listed as: Cooked-to-order breakfast Gourmet breakfast is served each morning on the covered porch, patios, or balconies Breakfast was served in a back room and was brought out without asking what we wanted. It was very good and I'm sure we could have asked for something different, but it wasn't Cooked-to-order as listed. Parking is tight - don't expect a large truck or SUV to fit. As an 1890 building, it needed some TLC but the decoration with Victorian-era furniture and artwork was nice.

This is a must book bed and breakfast. The staff is amazing. Rooms are cozy and welcoming. We had a private balcony which was nice. With rocking chairs and a bench. The breakfast was fantastic. We are already planning when we can return. Best part walking distance to the fun but quiet area.

A really cute and cozy bed and breakfast! Everything was perfect. Staff was great and the room was super clean and comfortable. I heard a little boy and girl ghost, but it didn't keep me from sleeping.
