Easy check in / check out ! The rooms were comfortable , & parking was easy . We booked 2 rooms, with 2 queens . They even had a band during our stay , which was pretty cool. The food & drinks were good! Over all stay was 8/10! Highly recommend & would come back again ,

Cute little, out of the way motel attached to a bar and grill. The patio and back yard of the bar is spectacular! And the live music and other events make it a destination spot. Meredith was attentive and Gordon, one of the the ownera, was super helpful. Great location to call it a home base and then explore wineries and the hill country.

The bed was comfortablebut there were basically no amenities other than a small coffee pot.Microwave and refrigerator. But the restaurant doesn't open until eleven, so there's no food source for breakfast. our bathroom looked like it had recently been remodeled, but the remodel was incomplete, and the shower head was an old one that sprayed water all over the bathroom. As I was leaving the room on the day of our departure, there was a cockroach running around on the carpet. On saturday night, there was a drunk in the parking lot playing his music loudly and dancing outside of his pickup right outide my door.

I would highly recommend this place. If they have music, just know it doesn't end until about 10 p.m. and you can hear it in your room. It was so good, I didn't mind!!

We haven't stayed in Canyon Lakes before and wanted a place to stay that had a bar/restaurant. We also enjoyed the live music. Our room was spacious, looked newly remodeled and had a very comfortable bed. The only downside was that the shower was small, other than that, we had a relaxing time.

Super friendly and nice place to stay for few nights. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Maybe avoid rooms towards the back, like 13/14…Walls are pretty thin so when the guests next us got to their room at 2 AM, we could hear them loud and clear- little annoying. Didn’t like staying near the outside trash dumpster - door we’re open - eye sore.

The room was really clean, good service, only issue was the insulation between rooms is very thin and you could hear everything 😔, we were in a party that we didn't want to be also the road is a bit noisy but my ear plugs worked for that it didn't worked with a bed bagging late at night.

The staff at Maven’s was absolutely amazing!! I want to specifically shout out April (who was our waitress/bartender at the restaurant. She was a true blessing during the time we stayed at the inn. She was phenomenal in the bar area but she was also so incredibly sweet with my 1 year old son! I will definitely be back when I find myself in Canyon Lake again!

The grill and the staff are excellent but the room part is a bit neglected. I had a hard time finding a house keeper. I never really ever did. I wasn't sure who to talk to get more towels or bedding. We stayed for a week and no one came to clean are room. I just started setting my trash and towels outside the door. My trash would get picked up but I wouldn't receive linen back . I have been a housekeeper my whole life and found this kind of odd. Also there is no way to get ahold of anyone before 11am when the grill opens. No front desk assistants.

Our son is neurodiverse and struggles with loud sounds. We stayed on a Friday and there was live music in the restaurant which is great but my son was struggling so we were just going to eat in our room but I feel like the staff was so accommodating and accepting and supportive we ended up eating in an area off to the side that they closed off and kept quiet for him. It really meant a lot to me!

The facility was fine. Very comfortable and well kept. Though it seems the motel portion is secondary to the restaurant. You have to check in through the restaurant and unless the restaurant is open it didn’t appear there was anyone on sight. There were two security issues that made us uncomfortable. - We returned to our room about 10:30 Thursday night to find two unsavory young men just standing there watching us from across the street. Instead of getting out of the car, we drove to the front, by the office to see if they knew the individuals or if there could be a reason for two people to be standing in the shadows watching their guests. sadly there was no one around. - Then I was awakened at 3am by noise outside our room. I peaked out the blind to see an SUV parked next to our car. Two of the occupants (1m & 1f) were walking across the parking lot toward the 7-11. Another individual then exited the SUV pulling in his jeans and proceed to follow. No shirt or shoes… just jeans. About 30 min later they returned to their SUV. The 3 of them sat there for a few minutes before exiting the parking lot. There were not guests and had a huge parking lot to choose from, but parked between our car and the one two rooms down. Not sure what they were up to but at 3am hidden in a motel parking lot… I am confident it was no good. We tried to report it to management but at 8:15 am there was no one there.

Pros: affordable, the room is a nice size And has practical amenities. The bed is very comfortable which is everything. It’s nice and functional. Cons: it’s a little loud and staff knocked twice on my door to hurry me along towards check-out. Note: it was definitely before checkout.

The bar itself was good and the staff were friendly. The hotel was room was not so good. Biggest issue was the shower that had a curtain and no door that would flood the bathroom floor out. It was also a very small shower. The room was clean but the frig was also leaking due to ice build up. It was a bit questionable going outside at night because of people hanging in the area and did not feel very safe.

This is a wonderful little gem hidden away in the TX Hill Country. Older Inn that has been updated and has a warm friendly staff. Cannot recommend enough! Great restaurant on the premises, with live music. But, don't worry as the music ends at eleven, so you don't have to worry about being kept awake.

I peaked out the blind to see an SUV parked next to our car. Two of the occupants (1m & 1f) were walking across the parking lot toward the 7-11. Another individual then exited the SUV pulling in his jeans and proceed to follow. No shirt or shoes… just jeans. About 30 min later they returned to their SUV. The 3 of them sat there for a few minutes before exiting the parking lot. There were not guests and had a huge parking lot to choose from, but parked between our car and the one two rooms down. Not sure what they were up to but at 3am hidden in a motel parking lot… I am confident it was no good. We tried to report it to management but at 8:15 am there was no one there.

The facility was fine. Very comfortable and well kept. Though it seems the motel portion is secondary to the restaurant. You have to check in through the restaurant and unless the restaurant is open it didn’t appear there was anyone on sight. There were two security issues that made us uncomfortable. - We returned to our room about 10:30 Thursday night to find two unsavory young men just standing there watching us from across the street. Instead of getting out of the car, we drove to the front, by the office to see if they knew the individuals or if there could be a reason for two people to be standing in the shadows watching their guests. sadly there was no one around. - Then I was awakened at 3am by noise outside our room. Cute little, out of the way motel attached to a bar and grill. The patio and back yard of the bar is spectacular! And the live music and other events make it a destination spot. Meredith was attentive and Gordon, one of the the ownera, was super helpful. Great location to call it a home base and then explore wineries and the hill country.

Spacious room with comfy bed. The sink didn’t drain good & coffee pot was extremely slow. We thought the restaurant served breakfast but only on weekends. The food at the restaurant was excellent. We would stay here again

The bed was comfortablebut there were basically no amenities other than a small coffee pot.Microwave and refrigerator. But the restaurant doesn't open until eleven, so there's no food source for breakfast. our bathroom looked like it had recently been remodeled, but the remodel was incomplete, and the shower head was an old one that sprayed water all over the bathroom. As I was leaving the room on the day of our departure, there was a cockroach running around on the carpet. On saturday night, there was a drunk in the parking lot playing his music loudly and dancing outside of his pickup right outide my door.

Room was clean and well appointed. Shower had good pressure. Grill had good food, wait staff was awesome and a live band until 10. If we end up back in the area, we'll definitely stay there again.

What a lovely place! Excellent service too to bottom, clean & comfortable room and a great location. We were able to spend some time at the grill which is an excellent restaurant with cool vibes and an amazing patio. Would 100% come back.

I loved the CLEAN room with great air conditioner! The items that would have made my stay great would be hot water for a shower (there was no hot water in our unit). Our friends had hot water in there room, so I don’t know what happened in ours. The hair dryer also didn’t work. My husband found out after his COLD shower. The refrigerator freezer was pretty iced up, so I couldn’t put my freezer pak in it to refreeze. I feel certain if we had stayed more than one night, the nice person who checked us in would have fixed our problems or possibly moved us to another room. I would stay again after verifying these shortcomings. Also want to note, the surrounding area felt safe.
