Villa Yrondi in Bora Bora liegt in ländlicher Umgebung und in Strandnähe. Hafen von Vaitape ist einen Ausflug wert, wenn du etwas unternehmen möchtest. Wer lieber die Natur der Region bewundern möchte, sollte Folgendes besuchen: Strand des Matira-Hotels und Mont Otemanu. Matira Point und Motu Piti sind zwei weitere empfehlenswerte Orte für einen Abstecher. Unparalleled views from the roof deck, super friendly staff: Valerie could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Free use of bicycles made for easy daily trips to Matira beach or up to Viatape. Great for longer stays, each room has a fully functional kitchen.

To say the room was old, rundown, dingy, and alive with bugs would be an understatement. We did not see the other rooms, so maybe they were nice. Ours was not. I ended up sick with a bad ear infection, so I spent a lot of time sleeping in the room. Ants, cockroaches, spiders, and centipedes joined me. The owner was helpful telling me where the drs.office was and how to see her. Justine was helpful too. However, cleaning is done every 2 days, 3 if cleaning day falls on a Sun. Cleaning meant a light sweep of the dead bugs, making the dirty bed, and she gave us new towels as ours were pretty bad after my 2 day fever. Would have loved clean sheets. The pool looks to be a converted fountain, calling it a pool is generous. The sliding door to the outside just hangs there with no type of seal from outside critters, the entry into the bathroom is a accident waiting to happen, almost twice to each of us. There is about a 1 1/2" rise and the door is right next to the shower so water goes everywhere, and if you forget the rise, down you'll go! The area is up a hill, past some extremely rundown homes. So if you want to go ANYWHERE it will cost $20 each way and an extra $10 if the taxi waits for you while you run in the store. $20 to the beach, unless you walk the 1.6 miles. We ended up leaving before our reservation was up as we couldn't take the cockroaches anymore or the A/C that barely cooled down the room. The $34 breakfast was basically bread, fruit, yogurt & coffee. Good luck!

This is an exceptionally beautiful Villa. Our room had a beautiful deck and the walls were covered with beautiful paintings from the Villa's proprietor and a kitchen. We loved using the bikes to get to Vaitape for groceries, and to get to the Matira beach for snorkeling, and to circumambulate the island. Valerie, the hotel host, helped us retrieve a laptop from another island and enrolled us in a snorkeling tour, for which we were grateful!

Very seasoned travelers’ review/notes… A super cool, artist’s, unique, creative design of a Villa with 6 (?) rooms/apartments. So much potential! Like everywhere else in Bora Bora, has great views (no waterfront access). Facility needs attention! Our bathroom door was trashed. Cob webs abound, not so clean - especially bathroom urine odor. Loud neighbor (Gaurd?) dogs immediately next door to villa entry (and roosters)! Dust on lamps, pictures etc. The pool… is simply tiny (2 person). Bed light not working on one side. Wall paint dirty. 6000 VIP credit was NOT honored - one time 3400 breakfast instead. No hot water at kitchen sink. Wi-Fi is essentially unusable. Great continental breakfast if ordered. Roberta (our first host) was wonderful AND accommodated an early checkin! They don’t seem to be around (only 10am-12pm unless someone is coming or you call). This place is reasonably priced but needs attention to be recommended.

This Villa is a special place with a lovely host. We enjoyed the breakfast option and made use of the decent bikes to go to Matira beach. Sunset from the terraces was amazing. We liked the indoor/outdoor living while still using Air Con in the bedroom when needed. There’s an elite restaurant just down the driveway- book well in advance.

Très beau site. Il faut un moyen de locomotion, à tout le moins une bicyclette (bécane que l'on peut louer sur place), car épicerie, resto, plage sont à quelques kilomètres. On n'offre plus le petit déjeuner mais nos quartiers étaient dotés d'une cuisinette avec plaque électrique, micro-ondes et bouilloire.

Stayed 5 nights mid April in Sacriste apartment and so glad we stayed at Villa Yrondi. Views are as pictured and spectacular. No onsite restaurant but we bought light groceries at Chin Lee market and made own breakfast daily in the kitchenette. Valerie was amazing and so helpful. All staff was friendly. We had a small car and glad we did. Parking is tight so let them know in advance. If we ever came back we would certainly try Villa Yrondi first.

Hôtel incroyable !! 😍 Coup de coeur pour nous! La chambre est très confortable et fidèle à la description, la vue complément folle, le personnel arrangeant et les services sont top (taxi, excursion dans le lagon, petit déj, utilisation de la cuisine au besoin, piscine, etc). Staff was very nice. Property is extremely dated and needs extensive work. There is no pool, more like a water feature. We never received fresh towels or room cleaning even thiugh we asked. Wifi is not good.

A disappointing experience overall. The location, views and overall ambiance of the property are pleasing. However it is by no means a four star property as advertised. Our apartment (Sacristie) was in much need of repair. We had no hot water after our first night and the bathroom was dank and unventilated. Towels smelled sour after one use. Light fittings were broken. No peace - during daylight hours we were surrounded on 3 sides by shouting and slamming doors. There is no swimming pool. We did not know about the terrace. We were told that upstairs is the owner’s private residence. Not value for money. We have stayed at six properties in French Polynesia in the AUD 270 - 330 range. Villa Yrondi was by no means the cheapest but was the least pleasant. We were relieved to move to Royal Bora Bora which is the same price but a world away in terms of comfort and professionalism

We had a wonderful stay at this property located on a little hill with breathtaking views from the terrace. The room was clean and cozy. We had a little kitchen and patio area to ourselves. The building construction is Tuscan and artistic. We loved it!

BEWARE of this property. My stay at Villa Yrondi in Bora Bora was an unfortunate letdown. The reality was a far cry from the outdated images listing, creating an unwelcome sense of a bait-and-switch. The villa was neglected, with dirt and scuff marks on the walls of the room and scum visibly accumulated in the shower and the bathroom had dirty doors. The outdoor furniture was in a state of disrepair, and the pool disappointingly small. Even indoors, the lamp in our room was broken, old coiled cables hiding in the stained drapes, the blanket had cigarette burns and the kitchen had an unlockable window directly connected to a disorganized storage room providing a sense of insecurity and the general state of the property further emphasizing the lack of maintenance. Despite raising complaints, both Villa Yrondi and Expedia provided no satisfactory resolution or refund. In short, my supposed paradise getaway felt more like a ruse. Prospective visitors, tread carefully - this is one case where the reality doesn't match the advertising. I do not know why Expedia would label this exceptionally clean. I have photographs of all these items, BEWARE!

We loved our stay at Villa Yrondi! The view of the bay and the mountain from our dining area was gorgeous. Our apartment was clean and comfortable, filled with beautiful art and fully stocked with needed items. . The manager, Valerie, was so kind and helpful, booking several taxi rides for us and always ready for any questions we might have. For an extra fee, the delicious continental style breakfasts were delivered to our patio each morning: eggs any style (we had cheese omelettes), choice of coffee, tea or hot chocolate, and fresh rolls and pastry with butter and jam. Air conditioning in the bedrooms. We loved the open air style of the Sculpture unit. I would definitely come back again.

Overall it is what it is. I think it is a beautiful property that needs a lot of attention. I wished it was cleaner when we stayed. At least I wished there was a bloom in my room so I can clean it myself. The lady there was nice she let us check out an hour late. No one was there, if you need anything you need to text or call which was fine .Watch out for spiders, mosquitoes, and centipedes they were everywhere in the room when we stayed. If you don't use to a tropical environment, you might easily have a heart attack from those bugs.

If you’re unwilling to pay the prices required to stay in the high-end resorts, this is an outstanding alternative. The service was impeccable and the view from my Apartment Maestro was to-die-for beautiful. It’s a guest house, not a hotel, and not walking distance from the airport ferry terminal, but the staff arranged a taxi for me both directions. There are two restaurant options down near and on the main road, and the guest house breakfast (extra charge) was great. I highly recommend this place!

We loved our stay at Villa Yrondi! The view of the bay and the mountain from our dining area was gorgeous. Our apartment was clean and comfortable, filled with beautiful art and fully stocked with needed items. . The manager, Valerie, was so kind and helpful, booking several taxi rides for us and always ready for any questions we might have. For an extra fee, the delicious continental style breakfasts were delivered to our patio each morning: eggs any style (we had cheese omelettes), choice of coffee, tea or hot chocolate, and fresh rolls and pastry with butter and jam. Air conditioning in the bedrooms. We loved the open air style of the Sculpture unit. I would definitely come back again.

To say the room was old, rundown, dingy, and alive with bugs would be an understatement. We did not see the other rooms, so maybe they were nice. Ours was not. I ended up sick with a bad ear infection, so I spent a lot of time sleeping in the room. Ants, cockroaches, spiders, and centipedes joined me. The owner was helpful telling me where the drs.office was and how to see her. Justine was helpful too. However, cleaning is done every 2 days, 3 if cleaning day falls on a Sun. Cleaning meant a light sweep of the dead bugs, making the dirty bed, and she gave us new towels as ours were pretty bad after my 2 day fever. Would have loved clean sheets. The pool looks to be a converted fountain, calling it a pool is generous. The sliding door to the outside just hangs there with no type of seal from outside critters, the entry into the bathroom is a accident waiting to happen, almost twice to each of us. There is about a 1 1/2" rise and the door is right next to the shower so water goes everywhere, and if you forget the rise, down you'll go! The area is up a hill, past some extremely rundown homes. So if you want to go ANYWHERE it will cost $20 each way and an extra $10 if the taxi waits for you while you run in the store. $20 to the beach, unless you walk the 1.6 miles. We ended up leaving before our reservation was up as we couldn't take the cockroaches anymore or the A/C that barely cooled down the room. The $34 breakfast was basically bread, fruit, yogurt & coffee. Good luck!

Elegant old world style villa aged like a great wine and showcasing beautiful art. Fabulous views of Otemanu and Pahia as well as the lagoon. Enjoy relaxing on the terraces and the enclosed courtyard and pool area. Spacious rooms with kitchens and private outdoor spaces. Host Laura is delightful and accommodating. Love this place!

Very seasoned travelers’ review/notes… A super cool, artist’s, unique, creative design of a Villa with 6 (?) rooms/apartments. So much potential! Like everywhere else in Bora Bora, has great views (no waterfront access). Facility needs attention! Our bathroom door was trashed. Cob webs abound, not so clean - especially bathroom urine odor. Loud neighbor (Gaurd?) dogs immediately next door to villa entry (and roosters)! Dust on lamps, pictures etc. The pool… is simply tiny (2 person). Bed light not working on one side. Villa Yrondi's apartments are not the most functional (the shower and bathroom taps lack of water pressure) but it is very charming and authentic, with great view. Staff is helpful although not always on-site. You definitely need a car to drive around.

We will cherish the view from our upper level apartment (Sculpture) and view deck for a long long time. It was quite spectacular. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable with AC in both bedrooms. There is an adequately equipped kitchen and large bathroom. Mr. Yrondi’s paintings and statutes adorn the apartment. The villa is a truly unique place to stay on the island. Valerie, the manager, is friendly, helpful and available. Merci, Valerie! The villa is a bit removed from the Vaitape center. We rented a car for some of the time to get around the island; otherwise we used Jerry Taxi service which was excellent. Bikes and vespas would work as well. The famed Matira beach is about a 5 minute drive. We hope to return.

This was a beautiful place—the curb appeal is very good. But you are basically on your own here. Breakfast had been advertised, but once I arrived, I found out food is available only in high season. If you have a car, then you will do brilliantly here, but we were on foot and the area around the hotel is a main road with traffic and many barking, snarling, free-wandering dogs. So you can’t walk anywhere from here. Again, if you have a car and go grocery shopping, there is a kitchen for your use and you can do very well here. I think this place may be trying to be a hotel, but is more of an AirB&B. We were greeted by a lovely receptionist with a welcome gift of fresh fruit, and she set up our dinner reservation and return taxi, which was all amazing, but then we never saw anyone in the office again, so you are truly on your own here. WiFi and AC were very good, and we even got to meet the resident artist and his adorable little pup! Fine place to stay if you know your way around and have a car. If you’re a tourist with no idea about the island, might be good to stay somewhere with a lot of staff and close to food.

Villa Yeondi is filled with character and charm. Our suite was spacious and comfortable and we particularly enjoyed our terrace. It was lovely to eat breakfast surrounded by flowers while taking in the incredible view. Valerie was wonderful and helped us iron out travel complications and arranged a snorkeling trip that was the highlight of our stay on the island.

This is an exceptionally beautiful Villa. Our room had a beautiful deck and the walls were covered with beautiful paintings from the Villa's proprietor and a kitchen. We loved using the bikes to get to Vaitape for groceries, and to get to the Matira beach for snorkeling, and to circumambulate the island. Valerie, the hotel host, helped us retrieve a laptop from another island and enrolled us in a snorkeling tour, for which we were grateful!

This property is gorgeous. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. They ordered a taxi for us from the Ferry to the property. They also woke up in the morning and cooked us a home meal with fresh coffee. We did not stay long, but the time we did spend here was very comfortable.

Stayed 5 nights mid April in Sacriste apartment and so glad we stayed at Villa Yrondi. Views are as pictured and spectacular. No onsite restaurant but we bought light groceries at Chin Lee market and made own breakfast daily in the kitchenette. Valerie was amazing and so helpful. All staff was friendly. We had a small car and glad we did. Parking is tight so let them know in advance. If we ever came back we would certainly try Villa Yrondi first.

We had a wonderful stay at this property located on a little hill with breathtaking views from the terrace. The room was clean and cozy. We had a little kitchen and patio area to ourselves. The building construction is Tuscan and artistic. We loved it!

If you have a car, then you will do brilliantly here, but we were on foot and the area around the hotel is a main road with traffic and many barking, snarling, free-wandering dogs. So you can’t walk anywhere from here. Again, if you have a car and go grocery shopping, there is a kitchen for your use and you can do very well here. I think this place may be trying to be a hotel, but is more of an AirB&B. We were greeted by a lovely receptionist with a welcome gift of fresh fruit, and she set up our dinner reservation and return taxi, which was all amazing, but then we never saw anyone in the office again, so you are truly on your own here. WiFi and AC were very good, and we even got to meet the resident artist and his adorable little pup! Fine place to stay if you know your way around and have a car. If you’re a tourist with no idea about the island, might be good to stay somewhere with a lot of staff and close to food.

This guest house has some wonderful qualities. Valerie was indispensable in helping us with everything from dinner reservations to getting an umbrella. The breakfast and patio are beautiful. The bed is comfortable and there is plenty of space in the bathroom. For some reason there was a smell in the toilet. Grounds are nice and location is good. Unless you want to bike you will need a car.

Stayed 5 nights mid April in Sacriste apartment and so glad we stayed at Villa Yrondi. Views are as pictured and spectacular. No onsite restaurant but we bought light groceries at Chin Lee market and made own breakfast daily in the kitchenette. Valerie was amazing and so helpful. All staff was friendly. We had a small car and glad we did. Parking is tight so let them know in advance. If we ever came back we would certainly try Villa Yrondi first.

A bit far from the ferry and main spots, so not ideal if you don’t drive or cycle. My room had an amazing view of Mount Otemanu, though there was a slight damp smell. The receptionist was incredibly helpful, especially after I injured myself falling off one of their bikes, and she arranged taxis for my arrival and departure. Great option if you’re out all day on tours and excursions.

We will cherish the view from our upper level apartment (Sculpture) and view deck for a long long time. It was quite spectacular. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable with AC in both bedrooms. There is an adequately equipped kitchen and large bathroom. Mr. Yrondi’s paintings and statutes adorn the apartment. The villa is a truly unique place to stay on the island. Valerie, the manager, is friendly, helpful and available. Merci, Valerie! The villa is a bit removed from the Vaitape center. We rented a car for some of the time to get around the island; otherwise we used Jerry Taxi service which was excellent. Bikes and vespas would work as well. The famed Matira beach is about a 5 minute drive. We hope to return.

If you’re unwilling to pay the prices required to stay in the high-end resorts, this is an outstanding alternative. The service was impeccable and the view from my Apartment Maestro was to-die-for beautiful. It’s a guest house, not a hotel, and not walking distance from the airport ferry terminal, but the staff arranged a taxi for me both directions. There are two restaurant options down near and on the main road, and the guest house breakfast (extra charge) was great. I highly recommend this place!

We loved our stay at Villa Yrondi! The view of the bay and the mountain from our dining area was gorgeous. Our apartment was clean and comfortable, filled with beautiful art and fully stocked with needed items. . The manager, Valerie, was so kind and helpful, booking several taxi rides for us and always ready for any questions we might have. For an extra fee, the delicious continental style breakfasts were delivered to our patio each morning: eggs any style (we had cheese omelettes), choice of coffee, tea or hot chocolate, and fresh rolls and pastry with butter and jam. Air conditioning in the bedrooms. We loved the open air style of the Sculpture unit. I would definitely come back again.

To say the room was old, rundown, dingy, and alive with bugs would be an understatement. We did not see the other rooms, so maybe they were nice. Ours was not. I ended up sick with a bad ear infection, so I spent a lot of time sleeping in the room. Ants, cockroaches, spiders, and centipedes joined me. The owner was helpful telling me where the drs.office was and how to see her. Justine was helpful too. However, cleaning is done every 2 days, 3 if cleaning day falls on a Sun. Cleaning meant a light sweep of the dead bugs, making the dirty bed, and she gave us new towels as ours were pretty bad after my 2 day fever. Would have loved clean sheets. The pool looks to be a converted fountain, calling it a pool is generous. The sliding door to the outside just hangs there with no type of seal from outside critters, the entry into the bathroom is a accident waiting to happen, almost twice to each of us. There is about a 1 1/2" rise and the door is right next to the shower so water goes everywhere, and if you forget the rise, down you'll go! The area is up a hill, past some extremely rundown homes. So if you want to go ANYWHERE it will cost $20 each way and an extra $10 if the taxi waits for you while you run in the store. $20 to the beach, unless you walk the 1.6 miles. We ended up leaving before our reservation was up as we couldn't take the cockroaches anymore or the A/C that barely cooled down the room. The $34 breakfast was basically bread, fruit, yogurt & coffee. Good luck!

This property is gorgeous. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. They ordered a taxi for us from the Ferry to the property. They also woke up in the morning and cooked us a home meal with fresh coffee. We did not stay long, but the time we did spend here was very comfortable.

This Villa is a special place with a lovely host. We enjoyed the breakfast option and made use of the decent bikes to go to Matira beach. Sunset from the terraces was amazing. We liked the indoor/outdoor living while still using Air Con in the bedroom when needed. There’s an elite restaurant just down the driveway- book well in advance.

Good view of the mountain and the bay. Poor car maneuverability when there are more than one car in the parking lot. Poor bathroom, kitchen, lighting. Air conditioning is week and cannot keep the room temperature below 27 deg C. Breakfast is substandard.

Great location. Excellent staff. If al fresco is your thing then you will love it, both bedrooms ac were great but in living room and kitchen, which was wide open was a little challenging to relax in. Clean and comfortable, would stay again.

It is an amazing villa/hotel! We loved our room, we were in three friends, the room was very comfortable and had a lovely view. The staff (Valerie and Raimana) were amazing, so helpful and kind to us. Really great breakfast. There are 2 restaurants nearby, on a walking distance. You can also walk about 30min to the public beach Matira and about 15min to the begining of the hiking to the tv tower, which has a beautiful view. To other places you need to get a taxi. The only thing we would change would be the caged birds on the common areas and inside the bedroom, didn’t feel comfortable with it.

The Villa is an artists vision. A live in artist who has built a villa that blends art , community and the environment that blends into everyday. Valerie was so wonderful, helpful, accomodating and kind. The staff are friendly and the breakfasts are so scrumptious. We loved our days here and could have stayed longer. Well worth it!
