Kamen ziemlich spät an, hatten für 3 Personen gebucht, es war aber nur für 2 gerichtet, daher mussten wir noch auf das dritte Bett warten! Lauter knarrender Boden, es war sehr warm und die Bettdecke war viel zu dick. Daher musste man das Fenster öffnen, dann war es wiederum sehr laut wegen der Straße und den Autos... Toiletten und Duschen sind auf dem Gang... wegen Denkmalschutz, darf nichts umgebaut werden. Für eine Nacht mit offenem Fenster und Oropax ist es in okay... das Frühstück war in Ordnung, hatten mehr erwartet, vor allem verschiedene Brotsorten, bzw. wenigstens eine dunkle Sorte... immerhin gab es Prosecco. Auch kann man den Zugang mit Liegen am See sowie die Sauna mitbenutzen.

One of The best hotels I have stayed in Switzerland. Very clean, friendly staff. Excellent breakfast with lots of options. The access to Lake Lucerne is priceless. Highly recommend this place.

Medewerkers waren vriendelijk ook voor onze grote viervoeter. Heerlijk met zijn allen gezwommen bij het prive strand van het hotel. Zeker een aanrader.

If you’re looking for an authentic stay in a Swiss chalet, this is your place. We loved that our stay included a private spot by the lake with lounge chairs and beautiful views. It was just a walk up a hill to the local train, too. Our room ended up being on the 2nd floor and we were surprised at the narrow and steep metal stairs, which was the only way to bring in our luggage and get to that floor…a little tricky! The town is so lovely, the staff was great. It was definitely a fun place to stay for one night on our trip.

It was a quick walk to a private park leading to a serene spot by the lake. The receptionist,Katrina, was the warmest and kindest person who welcomed and helped us out. It's a disappointment that the street where the chalet was is undergoing a major repair. No access to take a shot in front. I wish Expedia notified us ahead of time

Une nuit dépaysante dans un chalet typiquement suisse de montagne. Si l'extérieur est très beau et coloré, l'intérieur est en revanche extrêmement sombre et plein de marches. La chambre était spacieuse et les lits moyennement confortables (apporter votre oreiller). Les commodités collectives sont propres. Les sols craquent et grincent ; on a toujours peu de réveiller les voisins en bougeant. Nous avons eu un cadeau en partant, ce qui était une très gentille attention !

Das Zimmer war leider sehr schief. Die Sauberkeit war gut. Leider hatten wir keinen Föhn auf dem Zimmer. Dusche und Wc sind auf dem Gang, hat alles super funktioniert- nur ein Duschregal wäre schön gewesen. Sehr warm im Zimmer und sehr hellhörig.

We booked the place just to rest as a middle point in our Tour and we just couldn't sleep. The room was big and spacious,we got the customary water bottles. Our room faced the road and the curtains were thin. So the light from the streetlamps and the Traffic sounds kept us awake all night. We booked a Double bed room and we were provided 2 single beds, the receptionist proceeds to tell us that thats Double bed. German is not my native tongue but words have definite meaning and they do not change, no matter how passive aggressively you repeat it. The parking costs 10€ for Cars and even for Motorbikes which I think is a bit unfair, since motorbikes take half the space. The Hotel itself has nice niches and decor but also dusty and unclean in places. All in all terrible stay

Great service at this hotel with fantastic lakeside location. Room was ok. Lovely food but pricey. Aware of shared facilities before arrival but did not realise would be sharing one showet and toilet with multiple rooms/guests. These got wet and smelly.

This hotel is too old, the building structure looks very bad, the floor is tilted and making beds tilted too. Sound insulation is terrible, you can hear people walking upstairs. No elevator. No private bathroom, six or seven rooms shared one toilet and one shower.

Meget lytte rum, naboen ovenpå larmede det meste af aftenen. Ikke særlig praktisk med en lille baby der blev vækket flere gange. Rummene var meget små, hvilket gjorde det svært med en lille baby..

The location of the hotel on the lake is absolutely stunning and the receptionist was really helpful and friendly! The hotel is a bit outdated and ceilings are very low, so not for tall people. The bathroom and toilet on the hallway are clean but very basic.

Super charming, old and creaky place. Low ceilings. Old wood. No AC and a fan that barely moved the air so it was very hot! Across from a lake. Bring your suit!!! Wonderful to jump into the lake in the morning and evening. Stunning views. Loved staying a bit outside the city to enjoy the natural beauty and quiet. Train to Lucerne is just a few minutes walk and very convenient to get to the city.

Ceilings are just slightly above 6 feet tall. There is one toilet and one shower for the first floor to share (10-15 rooms). Room was very hot and beds seemed pretty old. No identifiable way to reduce temperature. After hours check in was easy if coordinated ahead of time.

The area is beautiful. The facilities are aesthetic. The service was good. The extra bed in the room was broken. The walls were paper thin and we could hear everyone around us. Overall a beautiful place to stay but regarding comfortability, it wasn’t worth the price.

Endlich eine Rezeption/ Mitarbeiter wie man es sich als Gast wünscht, denn hier fühlt man sich wirklich als Gast. Toller Service! Auch wenn ich nicht direkt in dem Gebäude am See übernachtet habe, war es toll so nah einen so tollen Ausblick genießen zu können. Als 1,87m großer Mann war die Deckenhöhe und die Bettlänge im Nebenhaus etwas beengend, aber ich bin mir sicher, dass das bei vorheriger Absprache gut gelöst werden kann. Die Parkmöglichkeit, mit Ladestationen, fand ich ebenfalls gut. Auf Grund der tollen Lage und des super Services werde ich vermutlich im Herbst erneut anreisen. Diesmal war ich geschäftlich unterwegs.

The Chalet was just lovely, surrounded by bliss scenery that is truly awe inspiring. The staff were extremely helpful, even lending us an adaptor. Couldn’t recommend more.

Is very unique, but to get to is very hard to get to from the train stop is a steep road and its just very hard with luggage. The area is beautiful. And the staff is not very friendly or helpful.

The place was great! The service and hospitality of the people stands out. A five minute walk to the train station and about a 20min ride to or from Luzern. If you want to stay away from heavy tourist areas and a quiet place, then this is your spot. Parking available for those driving and a small store next to it to buy some snacks or something quick.

We booked the place just to rest as a middle point in our Tour and we just couldn't sleep. The room was big and spacious,we got the customary water bottles. Our room faced the road and the curtains were thin. So the light from the streetlamps and the Traffic sounds kept us awake all night. We booked a Double bed room and we were provided 2 single beds, the receptionist proceeds to tell us that thats Double bed. German is not my native tongue but words have definite meaning and they do not change, no matter how passive aggressively you repeat it. The parking costs 10€ for Cars and even for Motorbikes which I think is a bit unfair, since motorbikes take half the space. The Hotel itself has nice niches and decor but also dusty and unclean in places. All in all terrible stay

Super charming, old and creaky place. Low ceilings. Old wood. No AC and a fan that barely moved the air so it was very hot! Across from a lake. Bring your suit!!! Wonderful to jump into the lake in the morning and evening. Stunning views. Loved staying a bit outside the city to enjoy the natural beauty and quiet. Train to Lucerne is just a few minutes walk and very convenient to get to the city.

HIGHLY recommend!!! The staff was so friendly and the hotel is so welcoming and comfortable, with great views of the lake! Also in a great location, close to Lucerne. I will definitely be coming back!!!

Kamen ziemlich spät an, hatten für 3 Personen gebucht, es war aber nur für 2 gerichtet, daher mussten wir noch auf das dritte Bett warten! Lauter knarrender Boden, es war sehr warm und die Bettdecke war viel zu dick. Daher musste man das Fenster öffnen, dann war es wiederum sehr laut wegen der Straße und den Autos... Toiletten und Duschen sind auf dem Gang... wegen Denkmalschutz, darf nichts umgebaut werden. Für eine Nacht mit offenem Fenster und Oropax ist es in okay... das Frühstück war in Ordnung, hatten mehr erwartet, vor allem verschiedene Brotsorten, bzw. wenigstens eine dunkle Sorte... immerhin gab es Prosecco. Auch kann man den Zugang mit Liegen am See sowie die Sauna mitbenutzen.

Great service at this hotel with fantastic lakeside location. Room was ok. Lovely food but pricey. Aware of shared facilities before arrival but did not realise would be sharing one showet and toilet with multiple rooms/guests. These got wet and smelly.

The room we had was more like a hostel with shared toilet and shower. It had a sink and was a reasonable size but the beds were very small and not comfortable. Breakfast was not included but available (pretty expensive). There is a wonderful small grocery store adjacent which we made use of.

Hotel rooms are located in two buildings. The one we were in is a hotel restaurant, but there is no direct access from the hotel corridors, To eat breakfast you have to go outside, which is not very nice when it is raining. The second thing is the lack of much choice for vegetarians in that restaurant. And the last very important thing, the height of some rooms, if your height is over 180 cm, ask for a room with the appropriate height! If my husband and my daughter's boyfriend didn't hit their heads several times a day until we changed rooms, my review would be 5 stars, because the hotel has its own charm and the service is very nice.

This is really a beautiful old chalet, and in cooler weather, I would rate it 4-5 stars. BUT during the moderately hot weather (highs near 80F and humid) it was not very comfortable. Due to it's design (again, this IS a historic property) there was no cross ventilation of windows (there are 1 set of opening windows in each room) and the rooms were hot. They DID give us fans, and our oscillating fan was excellent but the tower fan given to our 2nd room (adult kids) was nearly worthless. Others have commented about creaky floors- yup, but that wasn't bothersome at all. We didn't even really hear the church bells chime at night either- apparently they do. We also had a hard time finding the entrance door- it is up the hill and around the back. There are arrows, but they're kinda vague. It would be very helpful if the check in people had said the entrance was around the back or if the arrow had said "back entrance" too. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very helpful. A bright spot was that the beach was just across the street and so we swam to cool off every night. We also appreciated the beachside cafe with reasonable prices. In winter, fall or spring (or without global warming) this would be an excellent choice!
