We have just returned home from a 3 night stay at OKU Ibiza. Advertised as a 5* hotel in San Antonio. This trip was part of our Mini Moon. So I had asked in advance if a welcome gift for my wife was possible. This was kindly accepted. Which I was very grateful for. When we arrived at OKU, we were impressed with the look of the hotel and the gardens that are part of the hotel. It's a beautiful looking hotel. No complaints there. Upon check in which was admittedly an early check in, it became apparent that we were in block 3, the family block. Which I was worried about before (maybe I should have pre booked a different block, not sure if this is possible) where you just don't feel part of it, an after thought. It's across the road from the main pool and bar area. This isn't mentioned on the site when you book so beware. Our view in the room was appalling. Bins and car park. There was also no welcome gesture. You are also going to have €100 per a night you are there temporarily blocked from your credit card. Overall we wouldn't return, it's simply not worth the money. It's nowhere near a 5* . It feels soulless and struggles to meet the standards of other hotels around that are cheaper and a better vibe. Sadly we were dissatisfied in a number of areas. I had even debated leaving if I could have got a refund, but we weren't on the island long enough really. In hindsight I wish I had as it's not a 5* experience. 4* at absolute best.

If you’re looking for a 5 star experience I would avoid at all costs. For a 5 star hotel the staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. The rooms are extremely small and the shower leaks through the door to the bedroom. There is also black mould in the showers. Rooms don’t have irons, you have to request them, and even then it took 4 calls to reception before someone finally delivered one to the room. We asked the staff for recommendations to watch sports nearby - they couldn’t answer and instead instructed the concierge to google places (something we could do ourselves but were hoping as locals they’d be able to suggest a venue that shows sports - obviously not). Our biggest issue was the level of service provided by the staff. It’s a 5 star hotel with a hefty price tag, the service is what should separate them from the rest of the 4 star and below hotels. It cost nothing to be polite and to provide good service, something this hotel falls short on massively. A shame because the aesthetic of the hotel grounds are really nice.

Das Hotel ist in zwei Gebäudeteile aufgeteilt. Es gibt einen Familienbereich mit Familypool, Zimmern und dem Bereich wo auch das Frühstücksrestaurant ist. Direkt gegenüber ist dann der Adultsbereich mit großem Pool, Poolbar, Gym, Spa, einer kleinen Boutique, dem Restaurant Teyo und weiteren Zimmern. Wir waren im Adultsbereich, dieser Bereich ist etwas lauter, da von mittags bis ca. 0:00 Uhr Dj’s am Pool und danach im Restaurant auflegen. Diese Musik hört man auch in den Zimmern, da die Fenster nicht geräuschisoliert sind. Das Essen beim Frühstück, am Pool und im Restaurant ist sehr gut und qualitativ hochwertig. Der Poolbereich ist ebenfalls schön gestaltet, dieses Jahr mit einem Missoni Takeover. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel, das Bett leider nur Queensize und das Bad nicht praktikabel, da die Dusche direkt neben der Toilette ist und das gesamte Bad geflutet wird beim Duschen. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, sei es bei der Rezeption, den Restaurants oder auch beim Vallet Service und den Taxibestellungen.
