Lovely cottage tucked away in quiet alleyway close to centre of town. Easy to find and park in nearby square. Tom was very helpful in agreeing to a late check in. Although I was too late for the Fish & Chip shop the fact you can get food from them and eat in the pub / bar is a real bonus. Fantastic breakfast left to self serve. I stay in lots of different accommodation and rarely write reviews but this is best overall value for money I have recently experienced.

My daughter and I booked this B&B on a whim, part of a girlie road trip. The stay was perfect. The bed was amazing, the facilities were just as good as being at home. Hot shower, lots of breakfast options included and fresh everything. Wasn't prepared for the lack of specific parking but plenty nearby. Tom was a great host and we would stay again in a heartbeat. many thank and best wishes to you and long may the collection of hats on the walls grow :-)

23a High Street, Knighton, is a hidden gem. Unassuming from the outside, it is wonderfully appointed and homely. The owner could not have been more helpful and welcoming. For a small charitable donation I got my washing done, dried, and aired. It nestles between a popular chip shop and the excellent ale house. 23a is the perfect place to stay for hikers or those simply taking a break in beautiful mid Wales. It is excellent value for money and very highly recommended.

23A High Street is a timber framed mid terrace cottage with ancient beams exposed inside. It is highly decorated with knickknacks with a hare theme.Knighton is a small very hilly quiet town. I had no difficulty finding free street parking, but spaces are limited. Tom loves to meet new guests, and he allows them free use of his well equipped kitchen. I will go again if there is another log show at Builth Wells (40 minutes drive)

The type of home stay that Tom offers is one of the joys travelling, particularly as a solo walker. Tom is an excellent host and his cottage is beautiful. He has thought of everything to make his guests comfortable and as a walker I was very happy to have a soak in the bath and be offered laundry facilities. Thanks again Tom :)

Next to a pub but quiet and friendly, Tom was great. Very clean , tidy and everything you could ask for.Carnival weekend which made it extra special. Highly recommended, Definitely be going back again.

The host was very friendly and gave me a thorough guide to the facilities and breakfast options (self service). The room was large (top of stairs and left - double room) and contained all the necessities you'd expect. The village is lovely with plenty of pubs serving food and some quaint shops.

It’s a pleasant experience to stay in this B & B. The host Tom is very friendly and helpful. Nicely decorated bedroom with everything I need. There’s a kettle and a few types of tea inside the room, and the breakfast is more than good enough for me. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Knighton. It’s just a small town and so it’s within walking distance to all main attractions.

Tom was very welcoming and hospitable, even the dog liked him. The accommodation was in the centre of the town so it was easy to walk to the bar next door or the fish and chip shop. A continental breakfast is included, croissants, toast, cereal and an abundance of teas or coffee. We had a very long and busy day the next day otherwise we would have stayed and enjoyed them. The bedroom is well equipped with teas, coffees and hairdryer. Very comfy bed I might add.

Very pleasant stay in this friendly little town. Lots of people say hello when walking around town, which obviously doesn't happen much in England! Host was excellent and very professional, and helped to send me back something I'd forgotten via courier, which was much appreciated. Also, although it's not strictly a B&B, you can grab something in the morning if required and donate to charity.

The host was incredibly generous and we felt that he shared his home with us, not simply hosted paying guests. We highly recommend staying here. Happy to recommend this place. Highlights were Tom’s wonderful and very personal hospitality - he went out of his way to make sure that I was happy whilst very much respecting my privacy. Great communication. Lovely room with comfortable bed and private bathroom. Very nice self-serve continental style breakfast set me up for 6 hours of riding my bike. Great stay - huge thanks

I chose this property based on previous reviews and boy did they get it right. Tom is a gentleman who loves to welcome weary travellers. When Tom became aware I had a motorcycle he came out to meet me and insisted he made a private area available to park my bike overnight. What a great find . I will certainly be back

Excellent host gives a great welcome and explained everything properly. House is a gem, just off the High St, and very quiet. Generous amount and variety of things for self-catering breakfast. Warm room, comfortable bed and a proper bathroom. Highly recommend this place.

Tom was a lovely host. Room was clean and very comfortable and Tom had bought what we wanted for breakfast A bit awkward to find but once we sorted that the accommodation was central

The property is very central, near to shops and restaurants but tucked away so it’s very quiet and peaceful. Tom, the host, was very helpful and chatty. Altogether a great experience. I will definitely return and recommend it to others

Very comfortable and great host. The chippy at end of passageway was great and you can take food into the alehouse next door.free parking near by

Tom was very welcoming and hospitable, even the dog liked him. The accommodation was in the centre of the town so it was easy to walk to the bar next door or the fish and chip shop. A continental breakfast is included, croissants, toast, cereal and an abundance of teas or coffee. We had a very long and busy day the next day otherwise we would have stayed and enjoyed them. The bedroom is well equipped with teas, coffees and hairdryer. Very comfy bed I might add.

The property was very clean and the owner was friendly and helpful.There was every possible drink,including excellent decaff coffee with a frech press,biscuits teas,water,cakes,fruit..etc..very impressive...many thanks.

Very pleasant stay in this friendly little town. Lots of people say hello when walking around town, which obviously doesn't happen much in England! Host was excellent and very professional, and helped to send me back something I'd forgotten via courier, which was much appreciated. Also, although it's not strictly a B&B, you can grab something in the morning if required and donate to charity.

Happy to recommend this place. Highlights were Tom’s wonderful and very personal hospitality - he went out of his way to make sure that I was happy whilst very much respecting my privacy. Great communication. Lovely room with comfortable bed and private bathroom. Very nice self-serve continental style breakfast set me up for 6 hours of riding my bike. Great stay - huge thanks

Tom was very helpful; getting in touch before we arrived with exact instructions how to find 23a. He was there to welcome us and offer advice….. and then left us to it. Great. Excellent breakfast : price was a donation to the air ambulance service. Ideal location…. for us, starting Glyndwr’s Way.

amazing. central location. excellent fish and chip shop next door. could eat in pub next door if you bought a drink. bed very comfortable in large room. Good choice of cereals croissants toast eggs tea and coffee. welcoming host.

Very comfortable clean room, loved the decoration. Breakfast was good with plenty of fruit available. Tom, the host made me feel very welcome, enjoyed my stay at 23A. Already booked to return next year.

The approach from the street was a bit of a shock! The entrance was beside a chip shop up a very grubby path. We were quite put off. However, inside the property it was very clean and the owner was welcoming. It’s a bit strange using his kitchen to get your own breakfast but it was just for one night.

A lovely, good value stopover for us in Knighton whilst walking the Offa's Path. The property consists of a bedroom, private bathroom and a shared kitchen. The owner - who lives in a separate part of the house - was very helpful via messages before our stay and in person during our stay. The accommodation had everything we needed. The bedroom had one of the best complimentary tea/coffee trays we have ever seen. A continental style breakfast was also included! We would highly recommend.

The breakfast was self service but alright, nothing more. Room was fine but TV access a bit dodgy. Separate bathroom not good for me. Bed large and comfortable with usual facilities within.

Tom, the host, was a real gentleman and couldn’t do enough to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The property was very clean, comfortable, and had everything you could need readily available. A great place to stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.”
