Hotel zum Hirschen

This destination caught me by surprise as the photos given are of area attractions not included in stay. We originally thought the water park was park of the hotel. BUT, If you want to experience a real Switzerland feel, then this is the place. Local Church bells ring every 15 minutes, Cow bells can be heard in the neighborhood pasture. You can meet some of the nicest people you ever meet walking around, in shops, and local cafes. I feel they should focus on this as traveling from another country we loved the authenticity of it. Majority of hotel was closed during our stay due to owner being on holiday, but that forced us to explore more in town which ended up being a blessing in the end as we fell in love with the town and the authentic feel. In recap: We really enjoyed our experience at the hotel once we acknowledged what it was. A real locally owned hotel in a small quaint town of real people. A place where hallmark movies are made.

The amenities were a little deceiving on the website. They are not at the property.

Saff (the restaurant owner) was very nice and kind. But Expedia charged us wrong amount - the price of USD instead of CHF... all was ok, we paid the differences and they the last room for 4 of us. Thank you

Wir sind zum ersten Mal mit der Familie in die Schweiz gereist und dieses Hotel hat unseren Aufenthalt wirklich noch schöner gemacht. Alles war sehr sauber, gepflegt und gemütlich. Besonders die wunderschöne Aussicht auf die umliegenden Ortschaften war einfach traumhaft. Auch das Personal an der Rezeption ist unglaublich freundlich und herzlich. Wir können das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen :)
