The Mitre hotel was superbly located and competitively priced. The building is old and characterful. But the rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit dated and had an electric shower. These are typically a bit of a pain in the ass to use, but the flow rate was okay and the water was warm enough.. My room had a very uneven floor. Which was weird at first, but I quickly got used to it. Reception staff were efficient and friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again

Amazing! Staff were lovely, brilliant location, it is above a pub but you can't hear the noise at all. Not the most modern but a really great hotel

Great area and in the heart of the city. The hotel building is old but still very comfortable. I had very little interaction with staff but all very friendly, in particular the girl at reception. I would choose the hotel again when I’m back in Manchester.

The staff was so friendly and helpful! The hotel is clean, simple, and perfect for a short stay. What I didn’t enjoy so much is that the hotel is connected to a pub so it was hard to locate. As well as tight halls and no elevators in the building so pack light! I brought a suitcase and had to drag it up to the top floor unfortunately. And room service is only available from 12-19 which is a very tight window and doesn’t really leave any space to get breakfast or a later dinner delivered to your room. Other than that it was okay!

Our stay at this hotel was good, great location and lovely staff. However I booked a room for 7 people to share, the sofa beds weren’t made up to sleep in so we had to sort these and put the bedding on the duvets and pillows ourselves. There was 1 bathroom for everyone to share and it didn’t have a shower, only a bath.
