Staying at Hakone Okada with my brother in late March was one of the highlights of our Japan trip. Our room overlooked a cherry‑blossom‑filled valley, and the view alone felt like something out of a painting. The private open‑air onsen attached to our room made it even better — soaking in the hot spring water while looking out over the sakura was unforgettable. The public onsen was just as impressive. As first‑time onsen visitors, we were a bit nervous, but the space was beautifully designed, easy to navigate, and very foreigner‑friendly. It turned what could’ve been intimidating into a genuinely relaxing and memorable experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, always welcoming and helpful, and the food was excellent — a perfect match for the atmosphere of the ryokan. Overall, Hakone Okada delivered everything we hoped for and more. We’ll definitely be returning!
