New - stylish - nice rooms - in house bar and restaurant

It was perfect. The only issue is the parking lot. There is no parking for clients.

I love the Hyatt Place, the property holds a high standard of cleanliness, spacious rooms and comfortable lounge areas. The gym is well equipped with working machines. I will keep coming back!

Breakfast is great and they said they are working to improve parking.

When arriving at a place following a long days travel it’s a wonderful transition to be immediately greated and experience a customer focused easy checkin. The rooms are pleasant, the in-house bar/restaurant open till 11 providing tasty food with the complimentary breakfast too providing a variety of foods for different tastes. You can enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace off the lobby/reception area.

It was clean and room was spacious. Only thing missing was a pool.

No parking included in the price of your room. You have to find your own street parking OR pay to park in a surface lot or garage a block away. Having to return to my car at 10:00 PM at night, pay for parking a block away from the hotel, and then walking back to the hotel at night and alone was not what I had expected. I will not be back. Absolutely not worth the hassle.

The room was spotless

This is a lovely hotel with all the expected Hyatt amenities. The staff is friendly and efficient. The room is clean and roomy. The breakfast was yummy.

Spotless room

Paid for a suite weeks ago, drove 4 hours, show up and their parking lot is ripped out. They told me I have to park in municipal parking across the way and pay for it myself because they don’t own the lot. 3 pm and the room wasn’t ready. They tried to down grade me to a king for the same price and said they were short staffed. I waited. Finally said room was ready so we went up and there is poop stuck on the inside of the toilet. The toilet paper holder is hanging off the wall. no one has cleaned under the bed in months. The whole thing was a disgusting disaster. I barely stayed in the room other than sleep. They lured me in with a good price and a high rating. An honest rating should be 3 out of 10. I won’t be back. Ps, You might want to check the gas leak by the back (now main) entrance instead of just putting up no smoking signs because of the smell.

Everything was great until I took a shower and found hair all over the shower wall. short straight black strands of hair everywhere! I took a video of it and showed it to the clerk.

Clean room, great staff!

There was blood on the sheet and 3 pillowcases. When I called down to tell the front desk and request new sheets they brought up the sheet - did not change them. I let them know how disappointing this experience was - called more than once - no response. I have pictures. Someone must have cut themself. It was pretty gross. Didn’t leave a good impression - will likely not stay at a Hyatt again.

Clean room

Did not have darkening shade so streetlight shined in all night. Furnace made loud noise all night. Not very good for sleeping!

The photo showed a tub but there was none. There are very few parking spaces and parking is expensive. No microwave in the room, so I had to go to the lobby to use the microwave, and it doesn't work well, so after 3 minutes is heating, the soup was still cold. For my room in particular, the sliding shower doors would not start closed no matter what I tried, so the floor got very wet as much as I tried to avoid it.The staff is nice, it's clean, just not the convenience.

We loved the room! It was clean, fresh and updated. We had a suite and it was spacious. Loved that there wasn’t any carpet.

Room was nice, and breakfast was great, but paid parking only in the lot nearby ($20 a day). The bed was hot due to the A/C being aimed at the front door and not at the bed area. Noise bleed between rooms was pretty bad in the evening. A fine hotel if you have to stay in Albany.

We liked everything except for the heating in the room. It does not maintain a steady temperature.

Room was huge. Does not sleep 4 as noted. Pull out sofa really only sleeps one. Breakfast was pretty tasty for free hotel food. Was annoyed to have to pay for parking in an adjacent garage. The hotel is directly off the highway.

Everything is new and modern. Our room was extremely comfortable and well designed.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, but the thermostat didn't adjust when we turned the heat up. Also there were not black out curtains like you would expect at a hotel. Lots of light came in through the very sheer window covering. There is no parking available. There is a lot for $8 and a parking garage for $14. Parking is not comped. Overall the hotel is nice, but those few annoyances really made for an irritating stay.

Great location that is easy to get to from the highway. Centrally located with easy travel to restaurants, shopping and nightlife. The rooms are very spacious and clean...a great value hotel!

Overall not bad but without any explanation they charged me double and told me they can't do anything about it. I felt i am robbed or something! I emailed the manager ( Shoaib ) and he ignored me not answering my email after 3 days! Not happy with that at all!

They decided to double dip, I ended up paying for my room twice. Once i. February when I booked the trip and again now. Ended up paying over three hundred for one night. Should get reimbursed.

Highly recommend this hotel warm friendly service, exceptionally clean property. As a handicapped person I was treated with respect and prompt service for any request. Yeah

Stay was fine but check in was horrible. The person at the front desk stated that my room was not ready. Ok so I wait 5 minutes later he checked in two other guests. I complained and he gives me my room. Spoke to manager who told me some time certain types of rooms are not ready that was a lie. Got the room I booked after I complained .

MSG for an early check in Upon arrival no record of it. FD agent made me wait 4 hours before asking housekeeping to get a room ready for me Another hour wait after that to get in a room.

In addition to being safe, clean, quiet, and peaceful, Hyatt Place staff are especially friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I have already scheduled my next stay for another few nights. I have traveled a fair amount and stayed in countless hotels. Hyatt Place is one of the few where I felt as comfortable or at home as one might in any hotel or away from home. In particular, some of the professional and personable staff who were notably kind, attentive, and hospitable I would like to name and recognize: Anjali, Dee Dee, and Lanayah at the front desk provided me such assistance consistent with the hotel and its inviting ambience and management. Also, the bartender Chris was equally congenial and pleasant. I had a delicious hamburger and beverage upon arrival, and Chris and I had a friendly, truly enjoyable exchange, talking casually, exchanging pleasantries as I relished my food and drink, relaxed, and replenished myself at the wonderful bar in the lounge. I highly recommend Hyatt Pace for lodging and enjoying your stay in Albany.

Nee Nee at the front desk absolutely made our stay. She was kind, efficient, and gave great recommendations. She helped us get the most out of our stay and we truly were sad to depart the hotel due to her hospitality.

Ed was super awesome. We met him when he was dealing with an irate customer, and he was doing a great job regardless. Great room and amazing customer service.

3 day stay. toilet not flushing when we got to the room. Front desk wanted me to take the plungers and do it myself. I ask for them to do it, it didn't work. Was told they had no rooms to move us, yet Expedia was saying they had rooms and told us to use the restrooms in the lobby until the next day. next day new front desk person had no idea about the problem. Told them we wanted a refund and we wanted a manager and was told sorry they were in a meeting and then they were off the property. Front desk was rude and could care less we had no bathroom going on 2 days. Such a bad experience.

Easy to walk to many places

Hotel was clean and modern, but there is no on site parking— had to use a municipal lot down the block. Surrounding area is very unsafe.

Location is great. 3 minute walk to the palace theatre and the common roots brewery next door is very good.

Had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. Otherwise it's just a normal hotel. Should have done a little more research on the area. Didn't feel unsafe but wouldn't have walked alone in that area.

The location is good for walking to pubs, dinning and historical places. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff exceptional. The issues were with the mechanical systems. The room's front door was misaligned and was hard to close. The toilet wasn't properly bolted to the floor. And it is a new building. A long-ish walk to the Empire Plaza, uphill... Not for everyone in the heat and sun. Consider driving if it isn't for you. If craft beer is your thing, there are a half-dozen venues within a thousand yards of the hotel, one barely 100' away... crawling distance. The USS Slater is docked 0.75 miles to the south. It is a great tour.

Very convenient for our early morning train to NYC.

We were going to a concert at the MVP Arena. It was super easy walk and a cute little pub next-door! Would definitely stay here again!

Great location to access bike trails around the Albany area. Close to Common Roots and Fidens Breweries for after rides. Right downtown.

This was one of the best stays I've had for a large city. The location was exceptional and the hotel was new and spotless. Lots of options for food and entertainment. Staff were helpful and extremely cordial and knew the area well. The only issue is parking which the hotel charges $20 per night. You can park for $8 per 24 hours in public parking right next to the hotel.

Breakfast was OK.... Sausage did NOT look cooked at al, and the fruit did not look fresh... but there was a great variety. - loved that the bar was open late for us late arrivals, and the check out was much more informative than the check in.. but we loved the hotel...

Well maintained and good breakfast options!

Listing said it had restaurant but it was a bar with only choice of burger or sandwiches - 4 items on menu. No onsite parking . Very nice room very clean but zero extras, no room service, no laundry service. We were disappointed as we wanted more.

I thoroughly enjoy staying here when I come into town. I love the bar. I wish the breakfast was an hour later. I miss it every time because I’m too busy getting ready and clearing out.

Just a pleasant place to stay with the addition of an in-house bar/restaurant and an above average breakfast selection

Our stay here was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent, lots of options. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It had a fridge and coffee maker the only thing missing was a microwave, but other than that we enjoyed it. We walked to Washington park and then from there we walked to the museum and other attractions. The next time we stay we would figure out the bus as it goes to the mall.

For the most part, a typical Hyatt Place property -- which would usually merit 4 to 5 stars. But here, they have hidden the fact that parking is $18 per night (not discussed anywhere in the listing). Take that into account when pricing this property. And the breakfast was extremely poor compared to other Hyatt Place locations.
