Colony Reef - Beach Access, Ocean Views, Heated Pool, Lovely Condo, 4th Floor

This was a great property and we had a wonderful time! The review was improved because the owner made it right when my children got stuck in the elevator on the first day, giving us a traumatic start to our vacation. So please verify the elevator is FIXED (or even better, replaced) before you stay as this unit is on the fourth floor. The whole week we were there we saw the sign on and off for it being fixed but really it probably needs to be replaced, which is not the owner's fault, but it is a factor nonetheless with a fourth story unit. The unit also felt narrower than advertised with the photos - it was a bit narrower than any other beach condo I'd stayed at. And the floor had quite a bit of sand on it when I arrived. Granted I am a neat freak and even after they kindly sent someone to re-clean it and I also cleaned it as best I could, I still felt sand on the floor. The floors were just not amenable to sand. POOL WAS AMAZING AS WAS THE BEACH. My kids had a total blast and the location to the pool and beach was unparalleled. Be aware if the elevator is working, it is on the opposite end of the building so you'll have to walk down a few units, get on the elevator, and then walk back down the length of the building to get to the pool and beach, but it's not far, just FYI. Stairs are right near the unit, though, if you don't mind a few extra steps! The owner and property manager were incredibly responsive and cared that we had a fun vacation. Thank you!

The resort area has food trucks daily and movie night on wednesday, the condo was nice size the balcony and views were perfect! This is a great place to stay with family, safe, the resort does have a lot of rules so if youre looking to drink and smoke this is not the place for you! No alcohol at pool or beach.

We had a GREAT time at this condo and Butler beach! It was our family of 4, so our son & daughter were able to each have their own room. The view is amazing and since it wasn’t that hot when we stayed (in July!) we loved sitting on the balcony and listening to the waves! It’s right above the pool, so you can hear the kids playing but it stops at 9, but that didn’t bother us and it was never too loud! There is so much to do in the condo area with all ages of people playing in the grassy courtyard area (until quiet hours so that was good!). They even had a movie night for families Thursday night. We loved it!! I personally don’t think all the chairs on the balcony were necessary- not really enough room for lounge chairs but some may love it. We just scooted them out of our way and it was no big deal. The property was clean but needs some baseboards cleaned and to use a new mop in the bathroom b/c when we got there it had a smell in bathrooms. I wasn’t sure if it was the mop or the fan in the bathroom. I didn’t run the fan the rest of the trip so I didn’t smell it after a day. It wasn’t even an issue big enough to report earlier. Easy walk to the beach and lots of great restaurants around. Lots of games in the condo too! Thanks for sharing your place with us! We will be back!!

We love St Augustine Beach and especially Colony Reef Club! We’ve stayed here many times, but this was our first time in this unit. It was very nice: comfy bed and nice Living Room furniture. It’s one of the only units with 2 King sized beds.The kitchen is nice, clean and easy to use. There is a small pantry for storage. This place is a convenient location for restaurants and shops. It was a great stay!
