The hotel itself is lovely, and Stefano at reception, along with the breakfast staff, were excellent. Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by how a private event was prioritised over hotel guests. Key issues: We were only informed about the event after the cancellation deadline had passed. The restaurant was unavailable unless we joined the €60-per-person event dinner. Our children were denied access to the pool, despite it being advertised as open until 23:00. We spent the evening eating takeaway pizza in our room instead of enjoying the facilities we booked for. The following morning, we were expected to pay extra to use the pool, despite being prevented from using it the night before. Management considered waiving the €10 dog fee and paying for five pizzas adequate compensation. We were even asked to amend our review because the hotel had been "kind enough" to help us. As a family travelling with three children and a dog, this was extremely disappointing. After a long day on the road, we chose this hotel specifically for its amenities and convenience, yet we were unable to enjoy either. Rather than feeling welcomed as paying guests, we felt like an inconvenience to an event the hotel chose to prioritise.

The hotel is truly beautiful, very clean, and tastefully decorated. The Hotel Team were always kind, helpful, and friendly. The breakfast was excellent rich, varied, and delicious. We felt completely comfortable and will definitely choose this hotel again on our next trip to Italy. Highly recommended!
