From the outside this hotel has missing sign fronts and tied back net curtains. Not very appealing from the first impression. Restaurant and bar were advertised but not open, and no opening date in site. Receptionist was friendly and room clean. We inadvertently left an item in the wardrobe so called the helpline the morning we checked out ( no direct number to the hotel only call centre). Im still waiting on a call back for it being found!

Stayed here a few times now. Lovely rooms. Nice breakfast. Was a little taken a back when I went to the bar to order my food and no one was serving, so I ordered through the QR code on the table. When the waiter brought my food I was ‘told’ not to order through the QR code and to wait at the bar as the receptionist will call someone to serve me. It wasn’t said in the most pleasant tone and why have a QR code on the table that says order here if people aren’t suppose to. Other than that no complaints.

Nice little budget-styke hotel set just off the motorway. Service can be a little slow in the bar, but they're always polite and friendly. Decent range of beers on tap too 👌

Average hotel that is reflected in the price, stayed several times. Unfortunately they are now charging g parking, really a stealth increase for rooms as the hotel is set well away from any convenience or services.

The hotel provided good value for money. I think it was previously a premier inn and before that a holiday inn express as the bathroom was in that style. It could do with some TLC but that is linked with the price. You have to pay around £5 per night for parking

Check in was fine, room was a bit quirky with full height wood sliding shutters over the windows. Shower would not run hot enough and was cool at best so ended up having a quick shallow cramped bath. Breakfast was self service but most of the serving dishes were empty and it took 10 minutes before the scrambled egg came out followed by bacon about 4 minutes after!!! when I came to pack up, I found a small red bug crawling on the duvet!!! I suspect a bed bug. I had no bites and had kept all my belongings hanging up or still zipped up in my suitcase. I wont be returning.

Great value for money, spacious clean room. Bathroom was clean, nice powerful shower and fresh bath sheet towels provided each day. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall great stay for 4 of us for 2 nights, 2 twin rooms.

My initial room was soo terrible. There was no heating. Called staff to assist they moved me to another room which is adequate. The overall cleanliness of the room is poor. Smells old and stale. Clearly the people before me in the room smoke me which you could smell the residue.

Choice of meals was limited we asked for vegetables of the day got a salad instead lasagne reheated. Bar fridge broken serving warm bottles of drinks Dont take cash at the bar. Room was dark and dingy lights on all the time also very noisy between the hours mdt and 2 o'clock. Will not be returning or recommending this hotel.

Unfortunately, I could here a female enjoying herself through much of the late night and then in the morning too. Nobody else's fault but nobody wants to hear that. The television lost reception at about 9pm on most channels and was also too small to watch clearly from the bed.

The property is clean and fairly comfortable, just a bit dated. The aircon doesn't work. The beds are ok, but the pillows are hard and the quilts are thick, so not great for hot weather with no aircon.

Not bad. However the pictures is not what I got. I got an old room. It was very hot. Not air con, just a fan. The tv was very old school, and about the same size as an iPad screen. There’s no plugs near the bed, only one behind the tv. The shower was powerful. Only got one towel which is a shame if you are coming with a partner. Bed was comfy. However was woken up at 7:30 by the workers, sounded like they were doing the bins, and dropping things on the floor very loudly. If I was to stay here again, I wouldn’t want to stay in the rooms 50-60.

The hotel is lovely. The room was nice, comfy large bed. Plenty of parking which is free as long as you register your car when you arrive. Very good value, would choose this hotel over others I've stayed at in the area. Very good value for money. Staff were friendly and welcoming and were very accommodating

I booked for one night and checked in and had to be let into my room as there was a problem with the key card system. We ordered our meals and the starts came up at different times and my work colleague ate his main course before I had to go into the kitchen to ask for my main course which was sitting there under the lights. It was obvious the hotel is so understaffed, the girl on reception was amazing and very professional but was so up against it checking in people, serving behind the bar, taking food orders and letting people in there rooms. Management need to have a serious look at themselves!!

To be honest we arrived to check in and were kept waiting for 20 minutes as the receptionist was on the telephone. He then advised us that because we had booked via Hotels.com parking would have to be paid for but had we booked directly it would have been free. The final straw was when we asked if we could access the room slightly early to get changed for a wedding, only to be told that we could but it would cost per hour or part of an hour. The additional charges and parking charges would have cost about as much as the original room reservation. My advice steer clear, stay somewhere else.

Average hotel that is reflected in the price, stayed several times. Unfortunately they are now charging g parking, really a stealth increase for rooms as the hotel is set well away from any convenience or services.

Mid-evening arrival with a warm and efficient welcome. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was a well-stocked buffet of hot and cold options. Friendly staff on reception at departure as well. Very convenient location if travelling on A1m or heading to Peterborough. Will stay again.

We stopped off on the way to York and it was very convenient. It was only about 1/4 of a mile off the A1M and not that far from Peterborough . We would definitely stay there again . Half way break .

Great value for money, spacious clean room. Bathroom was clean, nice powerful shower and fresh bath sheet towels provided each day. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall great stay for 4 of us for 2 nights, 2 twin rooms.

It’s ideal for a short stay, little bit out of the way and isolated. Staff are friendly, rooms clean, breakfast good and restaurant ok. Good value for money.

Stayed here a few times now. Lovely rooms. Nice breakfast. Was a little taken a back when I went to the bar to order my food and no one was serving, so I ordered through the QR code on the table. When the waiter brought my food I was ‘told’ not to order through the QR code and to wait at the bar as the receptionist will call someone to serve me. It wasn’t said in the most pleasant tone and why have a QR code on the table that says order here if people aren’t suppose to. Other than that no complaints.

One night stay as I was reviewing a training course locally. Weird building and had no remote for TV in room but this was sorted. Breakfast was help yourself buffet but the sausages looked to me like they could have been cooked a little more. The orange juice came from a carton stored underneath the unit so could have been a lot colder. All in all not bad but could make small improvements. The main event, the bed, was lovely and very comfortable

Nice greeting on arrival from lady on reception, explained everything I needed to know. Just caught the kitchen before last orders and enjoyed surprisingly good fish ‘n chips and a pint. Breakfast was equally good - all eggs cooked fresh and quality hot food as well as variety of cold. But I must mention a comfortable nights sleep on a very good bed and with four super pillows. Everything here was done well and the building inside belies its plain-ish exterior, being decorated to a good standard - I liked the sliding panels in the room. Thank you guys, keep up the good work.

Choice of meals was limited we asked for vegetables of the day got a salad instead lasagne reheated. Bar fridge broken serving warm bottles of drinks Dont take cash at the bar. Room was dark and dingy lights on all the time also very noisy between the hours mdt and 2 o'clock. Will not be returning or recommending this hotel.

overnight stop to break longer journey. Old motorway hotel that has been in several hands over the years. The current owners appear to be doing a great job with regards providing a great value for money property just off the A1. The evening menu looked ok but I arrived a little late so just had a drink in the bar. As of 5/4/25 a pint of Madri cost £5.50 & Aspal Cider £5. Cheaper than most pubs I use. The bar was comfortable with pleasant background music but quiet. Room was basic but had tv, kettle with coffee, spare pillows etc as you would expect. Everything inc bathroom very clean & good quality towels. Being old, the shower was a step into the bath. This would be my only complaint but at the price, something I can put up with. The crowning glory was the excellent breakfast. Good orange juice, bowl of mixed fresh fruit as well as bowl of red berries in juice. cheeses, cold meats, yogurts, several cereals & bread choice inc gluten free. A toaster that worked was a novelty for a UK hotel. Hot food included sausages, bacon, mushrooms, hash brown, tomatoes, beans, & scrambled eggs. There were also several options the chef would cook to order if required. Overall I was astounded at the value for money as I regularly stop overnight between Peterborough, Cambridge & Duxford areas on way to London & this is by far the best value for money.

I have stayed at the hotel several times when travelling between the North of England and the South. Its is a "no bells or whistles" hotel but has everything I want for a stop over without spending a fortune. Easy car parking, comfortable bed, everything clean, bar with decent selection and not over priced, basic evening meal menu for bite to eat if needed. All rooms on two floors so not many stairs (plenty of ground floor rooms). Shower is over bath in all rooms ive stayed at which is a bit of a bug bear with me as I don't see the need for a bath in every room. The hotel was quiet on this stay (normally has a few people in the bar and at breakfast), but breakfast was as plentiful as ever with everything you would want and more than I would expect from a budget hotel. I've stayed many times before and will continue to stay when I want to break my journey when travelling past Peterborough.
