We have visited the Menehune Shores condominiums on two separate occasions, staying in different units. This unit has a nice view of the ocean. It was clean and functional for our family of four and we enjoyed the stay. The building is starting to show its age as the water was out on one day and the elevator closest to our unit was not working on another day. The pool is on the small side and not heated, but the beach is nice for small kids as it is sheltered, shallow, and the waves are small.

Great location, close to beach parks, food options, and airport. Grounds were clean, pool was refreshing yet warm and right next to the water. Our unit had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

The beach right outside has so many turtles it was great! Wish there was a hot tub but the unit was easy to get into which was so nice and not too far from activities!

This property is exactly as pictured. Clean beds were comfy. Great with 2 bathrooms, one for us and one for kids. The roof top was great for BBQing and watching sunsets and stars. The only downfall for us was the road noise. You are 3 units in from an extremely busy road which means from 6am to 10pm you hear all the cars when outside on lanai or if have the windows open. This was disappointing as we love to hear the ocean waves. It was great to hear them in our sleep. The kitchen was fully equipped including plastic storage containers which was great. Everything you needed for a day on the beach was there. Note that the brach at condo is not really a swimming beach. Water is very brown/red from soil runoff, can't see past surface. But many nice beaches very close. Very easy location to get to wherever your plans take you and if you just want to sit on lanai or beach tonwatch the whales- perfect location. Thanks for the great holiday.

The property is right on the beach and has amazing views. It was great listening to the ocean waves. It is close to all the restaurants and grocery stores, making things very convenient. We will be back!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is in good location and everything works, but definitely needs AC Unit because the unit gets really hot also the TV in the living room doesn’t work.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is an amazing property with a beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. The property was clean and had all the home goods we needed for our stay. They even provided boogie boards, chairs, a cooler and extra beach towels for our beach days. The location of the property is great. Close to many restaurants and easy to get to the airport and other towns. There are many beaches nearby, especially the one right on the property. The only downside was the bedding on the twin beds and the sofa bed were not very comfortable. Otherwise we would gladly stay again and recommend this property to others.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you have young children this condo is located near Kalepolepo Fishpond which is easily the best beach on Maui for toddlers. Plus, you can find sea turtles resting on the rocks there, which is amazing! The master bedroom does get a bit warm, but there are fans to help cool you off. If you leave the windows open at night, you will start to hear traffic around 5 am, so we kept them closed. The pull-out bed is very uncomfortable, but we used several comforters provided to cushion the springs to make it usable. The floors could use a good mop, as our feet were pretty dirty if we walked around barefoot, but overall the condo was nice. The parking spots are insanely small, which caused some anxiety as I'm pretty sure the rental car got a few new door dings, but nothing major. Overall, the positives outweighed any negatives and we would definitely stay here again.

However, this condo was just alright. First time not using Airbnb and going through different company. Overall cost savings not much and we booked direct. Condo outdated, not very clean. Shower didn’t drain and sheets, pillows etc old and not great quality. The view was nice and there was nice air conditioning. Kitchen well stocked for cooking. Cleaners came about 10 minutes before check out time, we were about to head out but this was not great. We will definitely stay at the co dos again but not this one and probably not with the rental company.

The amenities were nice and we appreciated the coffee! Our one biggest downside was the street noise - we could hear traffic over the ocean all day. The front door didn't have a lock such as a deadbolt or chain. And a small thing - perhaps the cleaning crew is short, but the tops of all the door frames really needed a dusting. Parking was easy and we didn't find a lot of walkable places, but close drive!

This was perfect for our family of 6. Unit is very clean and very well stocked. The views from the balcony and terrace are breathtaking. Beds are comfortable, plenty of sheets, pillows and blankets. Pull out sofa is good for kids. There are games and puzzles to keep you busy. The location is quite central. Would definitely stay again.

Absolute perfect location! Middle of everything! Quiet unit, very peaceful with breathtaking views of the ocean! Condo was well stocked and very clean upon arrival. Air conditioning in each room helped beat the heat. We all enjoyed the pool. No problems whatsoever. Would definitely book this condo again!

We enjoyed the view from the condo, but the condo itself wasn’t in the best condition example : the ceiling in the bedroom was cracked and falling in some places. The place was just was dated. New furniture curtains and some paint would do it good. That said it was fine if you were looking for a budget place to stay we just weren’t looking for that much of a “budget” feel. They had beach chairs , cooler , boogie boards for use so that was nice.
We enjoyed the view from the condo, but the condo itself wasn’t in the best condition example : the ceiling in the bedroom was cracked and falling in some places. The place was just was dated. New furniture curtains and some paint would do it good. That said it was fine if you were looking for a budget place to stay we just weren’t looking for that much of a “budget” feel. They had beach chairs , cooler , boogie boards for use so that was nice.

This property is exactly as pictured. Clean beds were comfy. Great with 2 bathrooms, one for us and one for kids. The roof top was great for BBQing and watching sunsets and stars. The only downfall for us was the road noise. You are 3 units in from an extremely busy road which means from 6am to 10pm you hear all the cars when outside on lanai or if have the windows open. This was disappointing as we love to hear the ocean waves. It was great to hear them in our sleep. The kitchen was fully equipped including plastic storage containers which was great. Everything you needed for a day on the beach was there. Note that the brach at condo is not really a swimming beach. Water is very brown/red from soil runoff, can't see past surface. But many nice beaches very close. Very easy location to get to wherever your plans take you and if you just want to sit on lanai or beach tonwatch the whales- perfect location. Thanks for the great holiday.

Perfect location and very well kept complex. The room was basic but all a person needs. The washer could be replaced as it does not clean the dishes very well, and the front door needs to be repaired as it does not seal at the bottom at all.

There was no AC. You had to have all the windows with no screens open to help cool off the unit. There are ceiling fans and a couple box and tower fans. But it's hot here in June and it would have been nice to have the ac it said it's supposed to have. It's also super windy in the afternoons.

We had a great stay at menehune shores! We have stayed in many vacation rentals in Kihei and also used to live just blocks from here. The condo had everything we needed, and the property managers were willing to bring something if they didn’t have it on site. Check in was a breeze as well as communication with the property management during our stay. We had a maintenance issue that was addressed and fixed super quickly. Didn’t impact our stay negatively at all. Tons of beach equipment, towels and things to enjoy Maui Beaches. I loved the proximity to the beach in front of the condo. Perfect for morning walks and sunset. Great AC, though the timers were a bit of a bummer at night as we woke up hot and had to turn them back on. Having lived in Maui I completely understand energy costs, so I understand why they would have them. Again, no biggy, the AC worked great! Overall we had a great time and would absolutely stay here again!

Communication with host was good.Very well located.We never got the the parking permit because we got there after office closed and rest of the days we were out exploring and never got it, but no problem we always left a note. Hope it was easy for next visit and no have to worried about parking.

First time staying in kihea, and happy to discover this property is in the quieter part of town. Still convenient to shops and restaurants, without the crowds and traffic that lie south. The unit has a gorgeous ocean view, easy beach access, and well-maintained grounds including a pool and deluxe rooftop grills. The fish pond is perfect for tots, since it's completely protected from waves. The unit had everything one could need, from awesome beach chairs and coolers to towels and a fully-stocked kitchen. Parking is free, safe and simple. The location is not on the clearest blue beaches, but you can find them 5 minutes to the north. My kiddos were fine, but if you're looking for snorkeling, you'll need a short drive. The location is also very close to OGG.and the town of Paia, making airtravel and the Hana trip much more accessible than other Maui locations. Plus, the town feels super relaxed and welcoming. There's an on-site Indian restaurant with beautiful views; we've got an aversion to Indian food (that's on us) and were glad the strong smell of the restaurant didn't impact this unit's location. Could not recommend this more highly for anyone looking to explore Maui from a well-appointed base, or looking for long stretches of deserted Beach.

We had a wonderful stay in this Maui rental during a vacation with our adult children. The home was comfortable, well-equipped, and had a lovely water view. It was also conveniently located for all the activities we wanted to do around the island.We really appreciated the thoughtful extras like beach chairs, towels, and a cooler—these made our beach days so easy and enjoyable.Some of our favorite experiences included driving the Road to Hana and snorkeling at Honolua Bay, which was just a convenient drive away—much easier than booking a snorkeling cruise. Although we weren’t able to get reservations for the Haleakalā sunrise, we caught a stunning sunset there, and the drive was very manageable from the property.Overall, this was a great home base for our Maui adventures, and we would absolutely stay here again!

Stayed for 12 days at this location in Kihei! First time staying at this condo complex. Place was perfect for us and our two adult children. Perfect location on beach with a great view off our deck. Walking along beaches was outstanding (turn left to walk along Sugar beach, or right to walk along beach into central Kihei). Two bathrooms worked perfectly between 4 adults. Will happily stay here again!

The amenities were nice and we appreciated the coffee! Our one biggest downside was the street noise - we could hear traffic over the ocean all day. The front door didn't have a lock such as a deadbolt or chain. And a small thing - perhaps the cleaning crew is short, but the tops of all the door frames really needed a dusting. Parking was easy and we didn't find a lot of walkable places, but close drive!

Parking is free, safe and simple. The location is not on the clearest blue beaches, but you can find them 5 minutes to the north. My kiddos were fine, but if you're looking for snorkeling, you'll need a short drive. The location is also very close to OGG.and the town of Paia, making airtravel and the Hana trip much more accessible than other Maui locations. Plus, the town feels super relaxed and welcoming. There's an on-site Indian restaurant with beautiful views; we've got an aversion to Indian food (that's on us) and were glad the strong smell of the restaurant didn't impact this unit's location. Could not recommend this more highly for anyone looking to explore Maui from a well-appointed base, or looking for long stretches of deserted Beach.

This unit is located in a very well maintained condo-complex. The close proximity to the beach and the fish pond make it very attractive to people traveling with kids. However, the stove is awful - one of the burners wouldn't get hot enough to boil water and the other burners are such that you can't get them level. We would highly recommend Menehune Shores but the owner needs to replace this stove!

We had a wonderful stay in this Maui rental during a vacation with our adult children. The home was comfortable, well-equipped, and had a lovely water view. It was also conveniently located for all the activities we wanted to do around the island.We really appreciated the thoughtful extras like beach chairs, towels, and a cooler—these made our beach days so easy and enjoyable.Some of our favorite experiences included driving the Road to Hana and snorkeling at Honolua Bay, which was just a convenient drive away—much easier than booking a snorkeling cruise. Although we weren’t able to get reservations for the Haleakalā sunrise, we caught a stunning sunset there, and the drive was very manageable from the property.Overall, this was a great home base for our Maui adventures, and we would absolutely stay here again!

This property is exactly as pictured. Clean beds were comfy. Great with 2 bathrooms, one for us and one for kids. The roof top was great for BBQing and watching sunsets and stars. The only downfall for us was the road noise. You are 3 units in from an extremely busy road which means from 6am to 10pm you hear all the cars when outside on lanai or if have the windows open. This was disappointing as we love to hear the ocean waves. It was great to hear them in our sleep. The kitchen was fully equipped including plastic storage containers which was great. Everything you needed for a day on the beach was there. Note that the brach at condo is not really a swimming beach. Water is very brown/red from soil runoff, can't see past surface. But many nice beaches very close. Very easy location to get to wherever your plans take you and if you just want to sit on lanai or beach tonwatch the whales- perfect location. Thanks for the great holiday.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Our visit in Maui was very enjoyable. Pros: Menehune Shores Condo is in a great location in Kihei and right on the beach. Beautiful long beaches to walk along to both sides of the building. There is a fish pond right behind the condo that is safe and shallow for kids to play in. The condo unit that we stayed in was very good and met our needs. It was well stocked with kitchen ware for all our cooking needs and beach equipment to enjoy the beach. The unit has a fabulous view of the beach and ocean, it was a very peaceful view to wake up to every morning. There is no air conditioning in the unit, however there were ample fans that kept us cool at this time of the year. Cons: However the unit could use some renovating. It was very tired looking and out dated. Some brighter and modern furniture would make it more welcoming. The kitchen could use a makeover ie granite counters instead of tile. The stools by the the bar were rusted and should be thrown out. In a previous comment from last year, someone had mentioned that the elements on the stove needed to be fixed or changed…… still not done. Pots and pans did not sit properly on the elements and hence did not heat the food properly. I hope the above is taken as positive feedback by the owners to make the renters stay that much more enjoyable. So overall a great vacation, would have been even better if it hadn’t rained on our last 2 days! 😊

Our stay at the condo was very nice. Loved being right on the beach. Especially loved watching the sunsets from the roof top as well as the blowing of the conch shell ritual at the sunset.

This condo was the most well organized and stocked condo I have stayed in at Menehune Shores. The kitchen appliances and utensils were well stocked, there were plenty of towels and linens were clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly (individual for each room). There were even beach chairs and boogie boards available. We return for work once a year and always stay at this complex. This unit will definitely be on the list of preferred units.
