This is a unique house in an enchanting setting, walking distance from the town of Woodstock (either along the roads—at your own risk—or on a wooded trail along the river). Five of us had a wonderful stay here! The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and dining, and the house is arranged beautifully for congregating indoors or out. The house is plenty spacious for five people, though there was one less twin bed than we expected from the photos and one room had a window that didn’t close properly. Also, potential renters should note that there are no blinds or curtains on the windows and the master bedroom has a glass wall that looks out onto the living room. Light-sensitive travelers should bring sleep masks!

The property was great and as advertised and perfect for our long weekend. The setting is very rural but at the same time, it is less than 5 minutes from downtown Woodstock and all it has to offer. The host was delightful, attentive and responsive.
