Location cannot be beat. Very convenient to walk or take a train to anywhere. Very cooperative staff especially with flexibility on storing your luggage after you check out. The only issue was Wi-Fi which I could barely catch a signal of in my room.

Our room was quite big (had 4 twin beds). The room was warm, but they had a fan in our room. There was no kettle, no fridge, no hairdryer. The breakfast was good- had hot and cold options. The gentleman at the front desk during the day was very helpful and never steered us wrong. There is an elevator (thank goodness). Very close to Red Light District, directly across from Central train station. Location was great. We would definitely stay again.

Nice local hotel within a short walk from the Centraal Train Station, all Tram Lines and Metro. The Metro Ride to RAI Congress & Exhibition Center is less than 10 min. The hotel is also in the middle of many restaurants, shops and entertainment venues in the city center. Rooms in the main building, which has a lift/elevator, are highly recommended.

Only for the deep sleepers! Not really the hotels fault but the surrounding areas are very loud until the very early hours. Had the worst two nights sleep. The hotel really should put better soundproof windows and place a warning on their booking sites. It reallly is that bad. And no toaster for toast at breakfast but sliced bread! Hotel also dated and rooms look untouched for years (still had signs for ISDN! How very 1990s!) Very strong smell of smoke in corridors. HOWEVER. Staff were magnificent and the location is good just a shame for the drunken louts smashing windows etc in the night as the crawl back to their cages.

This hotel has a wonderful lication but unfortunately the cleaning is not the best. We couldnt yse the bathtub without been concern about fungus all around the tub. There is not so much lights in the room and the access is terrible with so many heavy doors around.

Really enjoyed staying here and eating and drinking at the attached restaurant and bar. The staff was very nice and though the rooms are old, they are comfortable and clean. Without even asking we had clean towels every day and the room was tidied.The location is fabulous-very close to train station and lots of restaurants, bars and shops. Great food in the restaurant, Prince Charming. We ate there twice, both times excellent with great service. Overall this is a good value for the cost.

Zentral gelegen für Stadtbesichtigungen, direkt am Bahnhof. Älteres Hotel, keine Klimaanlage im zimmer und nur kleine Frnster, die man nur einen Spalt breit öffnen kann. Bei warmem Wetter schrecklich heiss und stickig, sowohl im Zimmer als auch Frühstücksbereich. Der Aussenbereich zum sitzen ist bewirtschaftet und ziemlich teuer, also kein Aussenbereich des Hotels nur zum sitzen. Dirkt in der Partymeile u d der Geräuschpegel nachts dementsprechend hoch.

This is a very old hotel. We were surprised to open our room door only to see a flight of stairs up into the room. Difficult to navigate with large bags. The room was large and comfortable. No a/c but there was a fan in the room. Breakfast was good and staff very helpful.

PROS about the hotel : excellent location, conveniently located close to central station, attached to a restaurant/bar, free breakfast buffet with numerous options NEGATIVE about the hotel: rooms smell like old water/mold, some of the lamps by the bed did not work (bulbs were dead), room has NO AC, room gets very loud and we were woken up around 6 am from the city workers removing the trash ; beds are very tiny The hotel also only provides 1 key for your entire group, and you have to leave the key with the front desk staff as you exit the hotel, and receive the key again when you check in. This is such an outdated system and it is just not efficient when you are traveling with multiple people!!

Uma para chegar no quarto outra dentro dele (essa ai realmente pode atrapalhar pessoas com uma certa idade). Para nós foi ok, mas é um ponto de atenção. I loved the central location and free breakfast, plus the staff were extremely kind and helpful. But I don’t think I would stay here again. The room was very small and didn’t match up to the photos. Bathroom was also very small and shower water got everywhere at one point. It did its job though, in that it gave me a place to snooze during a busy three nights in Amsterdam.

The property is located just a 5 min walk from the Amsterdam Central station and also has various restaurants nearby. All of the main attractions were either at a walking distance or at a short tram ride. Carlo from the front desk was really helpful and provided some good information and tips. He also helped us with tour bookings. The breakfast options were good and healthier. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a visit to Amsterdam and need a mid-range hotel.

Front desk staff are amazingly helpful with check-in, baggage, directions to where I wanted to go. Breakfast had a nice variety with hot food, fruits, breads, yogurt….. Room was very clean and well attended to daily. Location was near central train station and other public transportation. Places to eat were close by.

Localização muito central, ao lado da estação de trem e das principais atrações de Amsterdam. Café da manhã é de boa qualidade. Quarto é um duplex: uma casa embaixo e no segundo andar uma cama de casal com um banheiro. É um quarto bem grande e espaçoso. Problema é a escada. São duas. Uma para chegar no quarto outra dentro dele (essa ai realmente pode atrapalhar pessoas com uma certa idade). Para nós foi ok, mas é um ponto de atenção. Como a localização é muito central, durante a noite pode ser um pouco barulhento.

The hotel is convenient to the Central Train Station, also walkable to many sites. Only issue we had was very noise in middle of night with party crowds.

The hotel is at a great location, only 3 minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station, and has lots of restaurant options around it. It’s also within walking distance to many attractions. However, the convenient location also means lots of noise at night. Bring good ear plugs or you’ll have a front row seat to every word tourists say outside your window. There is an abundance of foot traffic in the area 24/7, so you won’t get a wink of sleep. My room was not even on the ground floor but it was still very loud throughout the night. The shower is not a separate area in the bathroom so water will run everywhere. You have to hand in your room keys whenever you leave the hotel, which can be good or bad. The staff is mostly courteous, but one of the older gentleman talked to me like I’m an imbecile (probably because I am a woman of colour). His words were neutral but the tone was a little condescending and he explained everything super slow as if I am incapable of processing English words spoken at a normal speed. He doesn’t speak like that to other Caucasian customers per my observation. Other than that, it was a good value stay.

We stayed for 3 nights in early June. Breakfast was terrible, sausages were cooked like rubber, orange was water down , can't recognize as orange juice. Our room was one 1st floor, facing street. It was so noise and hard to sleep at all. There is no AC, and at least our room was difficult for elders as there are so many things to trip over, and steps inside the room. The location is good but I would not recommend any friends to stay.

Location was excellent, guest services was helpful and so nice, room was big and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and pleasant, wonderful overall.

Meget centralt og ok stille om natten selv om det ligger tæt ved hovedbanegården. Vi fik en lejlighed hvilket var super. Dog var der intet service i køkkenet, men det skulle vi heller ikke bruge, så det var ok. Morgenmad ensformigt og intet smagende men ok til den pris

Front desk staff are amazingly helpful with check-in, baggage, directions to where I wanted to go. Breakfast had a nice variety with hot food, fruits, breads, yogurt….. Room was very clean and well attended to daily. Location was near central train station and other public transportation. Places to eat were close by.

Excellent breakfast and coffee. Second oldest bar in Amsterdam is attached. Only negative was elevator out of service and we were on the third floor.

Really enjoyed staying here and eating and drinking at the attached restaurant and bar. The staff was very nice and though the rooms are old, they are comfortable and clean. Without even asking we had clean towels every day and the room was tidied.The location is fabulous-very close to train station and lots of restaurants, bars and shops. Great food in the restaurant, Prince Charming. We ate there twice, both times excellent with great service. Overall this is a good value for the cost.

The breakfast every morning was very good with a variety of good food. Our room was very clean and a good size for 4 guests. Comfortable beds. The 4 of us are from Canada. The staff spoke good of English and were very helpful with directions to different places we were visiting. We did not visit the bar.

We didn't stay in the main hotel building, but in an annexe down the street above a bar. Luckily the bedroom of the annexe was at the rear of the building, and was quiet, because the lounge on the front was noisy in the evening from the bar and the busy street below. The annexe was large, split into two. The bedroom with 2 single beds and a ensuite, and a lounge area with two sofas, a desk and chair, fridge , a large TV with satellite TV including BBC channels, a round table and two chairs to sit at in the window, and even strangely a sink. The lounge had a kettle, but sadly no cups/mugs or coffee or tea. The annexe did have a musty or smokey smell when we arrived, but some air freshener covered that up. The hotel and annexe are in a great location, a 10 minute walk from the central station, metro, trams, river cruises, some of the main attraction and plenty of bars and restaurants in the street. The hotel also has its own bar and restaurant. The staff on reception are very friendly, helpful and it was appreciated that our room was available early and they stored our luggage after we checked out.until departing from Amsterdam. The price included a free buffet breakfast which was very good, A good choice of hot and cold food to help yourself to. They even had soya milk, but no dairy free margarine. The furniture and decoration of the annexe was a bit tired/dated, but for the price and location no complaints.

It's an old hotel so don't expect bells and whistles. Location is great, across the canal from Centraal Station and easy to get to all the sights. But it's a very noisy hotel because of it's location, despite double-glazed windows, which may be a deal breaker for some.
