Excellent location in centre of Amsterdam. Hotel was quiet despite having room on main street. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free teas & coffees available in foyer. Room was very spacious.

Llegamos y es un laberinto llegar al cuarto, cero prácticos para maletas, es estar cargando y no es opción, no hay clima, no dejaron toallas, muchos escalones, muchos obstáculos en los pasillos, sólo las de recepción fueron muy lindas y serviciales. El pago por la estancia no vale lo que es.

The Nova has been my go-to hotel for a very long time, but I don't think I can stay there again. I had requested a room accessible by elevator and none was available, so my friend and I, both of whom have mobility issues, had to climb stairs to our room, which wasn't always easy. The breakfasts were not free, although I didn't mind paying for them. The service was outstanding and the food was always good. I liked that the trams were a short walk from the hotel, too. So was Albert Heijn. It's not that I don't want to stay there again, it's that I don't think I can due to mobility issues. Thanks.

The hotel seems to be new. Bedrooms and facilities are in excellent conditions. The breakfast and the restaurant were very good. Accessibility is a challenge though. The elevator is too small (3 people) and the stairs are very steep. Very challenging for seniors to use the stairs in case of emergency.

Excellent staff and location. I heard a guest complain that the staircase was too narrow and steep, but the hotel has an elevator for bags and those who don't like the exercise. I view the staircase as authentic euro living (all the older building have steep stairs) and thought they were a plus.

This was a very nice hotel. Location was perfect, just a 15 minute walk from the train station. The staff were very helpful. We had to pay a city tax when we arrived that was a surprise, I found it to be a little expensive. We did not take the breakfast but they have a coffee machine and water dispenser available 24/7.

The hotel was neat and clean. A smaller old style hotel in the center of Amsterdam. Easy access to the train station by cab. Our room was on the first floor, second level. Very difficult to get to with large suitcases. Staff did try to change the room but were fully booked . Staff did offer to help with luggage.

Hôtel en centre ville très calme, Personnel très agréable, un petit bémol cependant, le ménage de notre chambre n'a pas été fait le deuxième jour. Nous l'avons signalé à notre retour mais le service compétent n'était plus dans l'Hôtel.

Very convenient and walkable to major sites in Central. Very nice staff. Room upon arrival had no tissues in tissue box, no shower soap, no hand soap. No extra pillows. No outlet in bathroom. Outdated and dirty carpet. Room did not have phone too call front desk to ask questions. No coffee in room. Did have mini fridge and ample space in this room. Very steep stairs but working elevator. It’s a stretch to be 3 stars. Best part was staff and convenience.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mitten in der Stadt. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Was wirklich schade ist, dass dieses moderne und toll eingerichtete Hotel an vielen Stellen schmutzig wirkt...das Reinigungspersonal müsste ein bisschen besser arbeiten. Ich würde das Hotel aber immer wieder weiter empfehlen!

The location of the hotel is great. However my room was filthy. As if it had never been cleaned. The sheets and towels were smelly. There were sheets thrown outside the room that one of the guests had messed with, and not a single employee cleared the dirty laundry. The worst hotel I have ever been to. Score 0

This hotel was a big disappointment. The room was tiny, had NO AC, and smelled bad as soon as we walked in. The bedsheets smelled AWFUL, like they hadn’t been washed in a long time. You can see other reviews about this place. The elevator was so small it only fit one person, and we still had to carry our bags up the stairs. On the first night, someone tried to open our door at 3 am., which made us feel unsafe. I tried to call the frontdesk but no one answer. During ours stay, It was so hot that we had to leave the window open, and my child ended up with mosquito bites. None of us could sleep. We booked three nights but after found out they have no AC we decided to stay only one. The front desk said they would refund the other two nights, and I asked for a proof letter. They gave me a receipt, but I never received the refund. When I followed up, the manager said they wouldn’t give the money back. It feels like they gave me a fake receipt just to avoid refunding me. I would NOT recommend staying here

Check in and check out was easy staff is very friendly. Location is perfect walking distance to almost everything. Only complaint is carpet needs updating and the walls are not soundproof so you can hear people when they’re walking and talking in the hallways. Other than that it was perfect felt safe as a solo traveller

We stayed here in order to explore Amsterdam prior to a bike/barge tour. We unexpectedly wound up there during Kings Day celebrations so the price was elevated and the hotel was crowded. It was a good location near town but unfortunately it was noisy, late into the night during Kings day. The rooms would not cool off (A/C was not great) but we were able to open the window and let some cool air in.

The room was a bit tiny but everything was perfect inside! Good size bed, clean and well decorated, the give you things like cotton buds and etc. However, the only down side is the noise… you could hear people running all night long.

The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean with plenty of space for three travelers. We appreciated the free water refill station as well as the coffee and tea options. The location was close enough to walk everywhere but just far enough from the activities to have peace and quiet.

Staff rude and unwelcoming at check in. Was refused a late check out without the member of staff even looking. Check out was 11am and we were disturbed multiple times from 1015 by housekeeping wanting to clean the room. I complained to the receptionist on check out and she didnt even apologise. Would not stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying at the Hotel Nova. It was very convenient to get everywhere. Breakfast was great- lots of choices. Room was clean with a very large fridge! LOL The only negative was the coffee machine in the communal area wasn’t always working but the free cold water machine was always working. The reception staff were all so polite and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was a big disappointment. The room was tiny, had NO AC, and smelled bad as soon as we walked in. The bedsheets smelled AWFUL, like they hadn’t been washed in a long time. You can see other reviews about this place. The elevator was so small it only fit one person, and we still had to carry our bags up the stairs. On the first night, someone tried to open our door at 3 am., which made us feel unsafe. I tried to call the frontdesk but no one answer. During ours stay, It was so hot that we had to leave the window open, and my child ended up with mosquito bites. None of us could sleep. We booked three nights but after found out they have no AC we decided to stay only one. The front desk said they would refund the other two nights, and I asked for a proof letter. They gave me a receipt, but I never received the refund. When I followed up, the manager said they wouldn’t give the money back. It feels like they gave me a fake receipt just to avoid refunding me. I would NOT recommend staying here

The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. They allow you to store your bags before check-in and you can hang out in the lobby. There is free coffee and tea.

Overall, my stay at Hotel Nova was satisfactory. However, I was disappointed with the customer service. The front desk staff seemed unwelcoming and unhappy. The worst part was having to check out a day early without receiving a partial refund. The hotel directed me to Expedia, who contacted them, but they refused to refund any money. This experience was frustrating and time-consuming, and I feel that my money was unfairly taken. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great location! Still very central, close to everything you want to see, but away from the crowds of people. An ideal location for a long stay. The room with a queen bed was surprisingly roomy. Lovely and accommodating staff. Wish I was staying longer!

Check in and check out was easy staff is very friendly. Location is perfect walking distance to almost everything. Only complaint is carpet needs updating and the walls are not soundproof so you can hear people when they’re walking and talking in the hallways. Other than that it was perfect felt safe as a solo traveller

Great location, on a quieter street just off the main routes to about everything. Walking distance to all the major tourist areas. Convenient to transportation to everything else.

We really enjoyed staying at the Hotel Nova. It was very convenient to get everywhere. Breakfast was great- lots of choices. Room was clean with a very large fridge! LOL The only negative was the coffee machine in the communal area wasn’t always working but the free cold water machine was always working. The reception staff were all so polite and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was sufficiently spacious and the hotel easy access to public transit and within walking distance of the main attractions. The only surprise was that I thought that breakfast was included in the room rate which was not the case.

I have stayed in this hotel twice. Once for three months. I have always been satisfied with the property. The remodel looks great! Breakfast was fantastic! You guys have stepped up your game. Please continue to be discerning with your clientele. It was so quiet for being where it was located. That is a huge plus for mature travelers! Thanks!

There were 4 of us who shared a room. This was perfect. It is very central so a great location. It was clean, comfortable, great shower. We were in Amsterdam to celebrate turning 60 - hotel was perfect. Was it the coziest hotel we’ve ever stayed at? No, but it fit our trip perfectly. Breakfast was great!

This hotel gets a lot of things wonderfully right. The rooms are spacious and spotless, the breakfast is fantastic, and the water filling station and coffee machine is a surprisingly great perk. The location is unbeatable, putting you a ten minute walk from just about everything, with a tram stop literally at the front door. Plus, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Now for the quirks. The elevator is roughly the size of a shoebox and operates on its own leisurely schedule. As advertised, the building lacks air conditioning. We tried to beat the late September heat by opening the windows. This successfully cooled the room but unfortunately transformed us into an all-you-can-eat buffet for local mosquitoes, all while providing a front-row acoustic ticket to the 3 AM choir of rowdy street drunks. To add to the temperature roulette, the beds were initially outfitted solely with heavy winter comforters. Who needs a sauna when you have a duvet? Fortunately, those aforementioned lovely staff members came to our rescue with proper top sheets as soon as we asked. The verdict: It is a fantastic launchpad for exploring the city. Just pack some industrial-grade bug spray and earplugs, or simply book a place with climate control if sleeping cool and unbitten is high on your priority list.
