My problem with this hotel is FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!!!! I did a google search for the hotel in Athens with the best roof top bar with view of the Acropolis. The King George came up near the top. I then looked up the King George Hotel on the web site, and the pictures looked stunning, and exactly what I was looking forward. It also had a picture of the ROOFTOP POOL. I booked and was very excited. When we arrived, I found out that the only common area of the hotel for Acropolis view was the dining room and a terrace - but is totally enclosed with glass, so no outside exposure. The receptionist then told me that their "sister hotel" next door had a rooftop bar which we could access. The \'sister hotel" also had a roof top pool, but we were NOT allowed to access that pool. I did take a peek one afternoon, and it was perfect. I went to take a peek at our hotel\'s restaurant-glassed in terrace, only to be scolded by the manger. It was very frustrating. The King George has a pool, but in the basement with the spa. There is a pool on the rooftop AS PICTURED ON THE INTERNET ADVERTISING, BUT that is only for the penthouse suite. Super Argh!!!!! As a result of all of this, we spent VIRTUALLY ALL of our stay at the "sister hotel. I felt tricked, and it did not feel good. The sister hotel is the Hotel Grande Bretagne. Overall, they are both very expensive, but if I had to do it all over again, I would have stayed at the Bretagne. Dann Leonard
