Sunshine Mountain Lodge

Well for the area it can’t be beat.

Staff were great, very helpful and accommodating. General atmosphere in the hotel was nice - friendly staff and guests. Food in the casual restaurant was nice and reasonably priced.

The deluxe room is a double bed. They don’t mention that in the listing. Try sleeping two 6’ adults in that… Staff is mixed. Half are excellent, other half are just too cool and into themselves to be bothered. Three times in three days, at various times including at dinner, I found it easier just to serve myself. Then they stand there when the time comes to pay and the prompt says, add 18% tip…. Granted it must be difficult to find good workers that want to work up there, but still, as a guest, it was frustrating. Great breakfast helped.
