Very good accommodations. Pool door to the patio need a better access. Once it closes persons cannot get back in unless someone is inside to open it. People get stranded when nobody is present inside. A pillow propping the door open is not enough. A good breeze can blow it away. We would come back.

I liked the pool - it was long enough to swim laps, and was mostly empty when I was using it (mid-day) Less than 5 minutes drive from Horseshoe ski resort. It's not ski-in, but you can see the top of the lifts from the property (and access them via walking) Well maintained (every day) groomed trails for walking, x-country skiing and snowmobiling right beside the hotel.

This property was absolutely beautiful, it had all the amenities, the most friendly and accommodating staff, and the suites themselves were so well equipped we were blown away. As a family that travels often these rooms were by far the most well prepared to allow for us to eat most meals in the room. The pool and rec area was great as well the kids loved the pool and the adults loved the hot tub! We will absolutely be booking this suite again

We were coming in from a distance so we arrived early for check in. The room was ready so they allowed us in! The room was very clean, exactly the room I booked and paid for, great amenities including the pool and hot tub in the club house. The property does a fantastic job of clearing snow off sidewalks and making sure parking is accessible. Second visit to this complex and we'll be back again.

This property is wholesome, security keeps the noisy nite people quiet..kids love the playground & we all love the pool n hot tub, cozy firepit to sit around is a nice feature....lots of walking trails & the view (yu are atop of horseshoe) is spectacular!

Very close to skiing and Vetta spa. Clean and comfortable rooms. Easy and free parking outside your unit. Very friendly and helpful Front desk staff. Pool was cold and hot tub not very hot. You have to walk up stairs to units on 2nd and 3rd floor, can be difficult in bad weather. Units well equipped with appliances, dishes etc. Overall good place to stay in the area!

Front desk staff are amazing. They will go out of the way to make you happy. The issues that I will mention here is the cleanliness. Very disappointed. Our kitchen was missed. Fridge dirty, milk pitcher was filthy, see photo. Kitchen floor was sticky and still had food on it from last renters. In fact food was found on the throughout. The pool and change rooms were absolutely horrible. I've never seen a pool that dirty before. The 2 or 3 inches above the water line is black, esp the corners. Dirt on the bottom too, have to watch where you walk. The toilets in change room, wall behind the toilet was awful. Clearly the pool has not been cleaned in years. Unfortunately we will not return. Beautiful area and incredibly nice staff, what shame that it needs to be this dirty.

Location was nice. Unfortunately the room is very outdated. There was a musty smell. The shower stall and toilet had mold and mildew. Almost left but because we were tired and already paid, decided to just stay for the night but left very early in the morning.

Room was very clean and we had no concerns with the amenities. We've stayed here a couple times before and would likely stay here again. Our only complaint is that the beds are VERY hard. Between me and my spouse, I like a soft bed and he usually likes a firmer bed, and even he said it was uncomfortable.

I've stayed here in the past and the Staff were super friendly and nice. However, the units we stayed in was pretty run down. The dining room chairs felt wobbly and i fel like we were going to break it by just sitting on it. The dining room table was also wobbly. For the amount I paid to stay, i felt that a hotel would have been a better way to go.

The room was absolutely amazing. Loved the jacuzzi tub, fire place and balcony. Reasonably priced. My only complaint is I was super disappointed to find out the hot tub wasn’t operational, as that was a huge factor in picking this hotel. I imagine that’s the case for many guests being right by the ski resorts. Definitely should inform guests when a main amenity advertised won’t be available so other arrangements can be made if they choose.

Check in was smooth, but our room was NOT cleaned before we checked in. They gave us another room that had been cleaned and was fine. Noise from floor above was very loud, like people running back and forth until around 11:00 pm.

Our family checked into this property got our room card and proceeded to the room. My husband took all 3 children aged 3, 5 and 10 year old outside and once they proceeded up the stairs they were meet with a swarm of wasps. All I heard from inside of the property was deadly screams coming from all of my kids and my husband yelling for me to give him a towel. There was a wasps net underneath of the stairs and my 6 year old got stung 8 times on the face, legs and arms. My 10 year old got 1 bite and my husband got bite 7 times on head arms, stomach and legs. Thankfully our 3 year old didn’t get stung. My 6 year old face blew up and looked horrible we had to rush out of the room and go straight to the closest pharmacy to buy Benadryl to stop her reaction from being stung so many times. We had such a horrific experience and made a complaint to the front desk as we were driving to the pharmacy. They switched our room and apologized and said they would pass the message onto the manager. We had stayed there for 2 nights and not one phone call from any management to speak to us about our incident. This was super scary for our family and our children are now terrified of wasps. Our children could have had a deadly reaction to the stings and no one cared to reach out to see how any of us our doing. Very unprofessional behavior and very disappointing that the property doesn’t check its grounds for these types of things. Could have been a deadly situation.

Booked this hotel thru Expedia and there was an issue when checking in that front desk stated they didn’t get fees from Expedia but not to worry it happens sometimes and they would sort it out on their end. Well how they sorted it out was charged me for the night on top of what I had already prepaid. And when I called them on it they refused to deal with me to make it right. It took a week of back and forth with Expedia as hotel wouldn’t deal with me. And in the end they didn’t even app

Amazingly quiet location…was previously set up as a time share. The room was spacious and had sitting area and well stocked kitchenette. Comfortable king size bed with a balcony. While the room was very clean it could use some updating in the decor. Very close to horseshoe valley resort and Vetta spa. I highly recommend this property for your next stay in oro medonte.

What a lovely resort at the top of Horseshoe Valley mountain! Carriage Ridge Resort is quiet, safe, the rooms are clean and plentiful for a couple nights stay. If you're a skier/snowboarder, the bonus is being able to walk onto the mountain and ski into the resort instead of driving to horseshoe. Foodland is 10 minutes away if you need food as well. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here for another ski/golf getaway!

The room was beautiful and romantic room. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. I will definitely be returning to this place to go to the Vetta Spa that’s right up the street! It’s only a 10 minute walk away! Anyways big big thank you to the staff there for being so winderful.

Could not have been any better. The room was wonderful. Very quiet and peaceful. Lovely location. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The room even had a toaster which made breakfast easy. The pool and hot tub were excellent with great changing room area. There are lots of restaurants within a ten minute drive. We hope to return very soon!

Former time-share place becoming a hotel. It was pretty deserted. It needs to be freshed up a bit as paint is peeling outside. They ask you to remove your shoes indoors and yet my feet got quite dirty from the floor. On positive side, the bed was very comfy, the hot tub and pool were great, and most importantly, the staff were very sweet. Do note there is not a restaurant so eat before you arrive. Or bring groceries to cook in kitchenette. No pans however. BBQs available.

Spacious rooms, very comfy beds, rooms well equipped, rooms could use updating. Very friendly staff. Wish there was a restaurant on site. Can go to horseshoe resort but not walking distance. Contact horseshoe for shuttle at certain times of evening.

Had a great time at the resort and would stay again. Bed was comfortable, shower and tub were spacious, kitchen was adequate and enabled us to do our own cooking. It’s a mountain biker’s paradise and a great spot for skiers and golfers, but we were able to hike the mountains as well as nearby trails. Not much to do in the immediate area in terms of shopping or dining, but Barrie and Orillia are only 20-25 mins away. Glad we stayed at the Carriage.

Great accommodations and really well priced next to horseshoe valley. No restaurant but lots of options to cook in-house with full stove, fridge, toaster etc. Great value for a ski stay over.

Cute area, staff was helpful. The property could do with some updating. Our balcony door lock was sticking and hard to open and shut, the bathroom had some wear and tear, but the most inconvenient thing was the TV placement. You couldn’t watch from the bed or the couch because the doors on the cabinet blocked your view. The bed was comfortable. The numerous doors with key card entry was safe. I think in the winter the steps might be a bit dangerous but overall the stay was good. mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker. No oven or stove.
