It was great for a 4 night stay. Lovely welcome and staff were very happy to help. The bed was comfortable and as it was winter, good controllable heating. Having a fridge and microwave in the kitchenette was really helpful. The car park lights at night, and the really bright hallway lights were the only thing that was annoying, but I guess they keep them on for security.

Roomy delightful room looking out from second floor. No toaster in kitchen area. Car park brighter lights too bright that stayed on all night and not dimmed. Windows were not able to open very far!

Don't expect a fancy looking hotel. This is an old building, but despite being slightly run down in parts, we found it adds a level of country quirkiness and homeliness rather than being a negative. All staff we encountered were friendly, courteous, and helpful. The room was very large, and the layout for us was perfect, with a little kitchen nook where mum and dad could enjoy a chat and a drink after Mr 5 had gone to sleep. The motel was nice and clean, offered good facilities, and the free parking was a plus. The location could not be better, right in the middle of Katoomba within walking distance to Echo Point (20 mins walk with a 5 year old in tow) and Scenic World (25 mins), but even if you don't want to walk the buses are brilliant. Plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs nearby, and the train station is only a short walk away as well. As an added bonus ALDI is just across the road. If we're heading back to Katoomba we'd definitely stay again.

The Property was very run down and needs some love put back into it. Our room looked out on the carpark so a very bright lights at night that don't turn off. We have stayed in better condition accommodation in Bali so for the price we paid I was disappointed in the room, the location was great, Bed was comfortable.

Very nice quaint motel. Rooms were great and nothing to complain about. There didn't seem to be enough parking space and the available ones were tight or impossible to get into with another car next to them, I had to park down the road on the second night.

Die Unterkunft liegt gegenüber eines Aldis und direkt am Beginn einer kleinen Shoppingmeile. Nach 10 Minuten spazieren ist man auch in einer sehr guten Brauerei, wo man den Abend mit Einheimischen verbringen kann. Unser Zimmer war sehr schön und sauber, das Bad auch. Parkplätze gab es direkt im Innenhof.

Outside the door a very dirty mat. The carpet was so stained, not an all welcoming. Bathroom although clean, there were cracked tiles and mould. Rooms nothing like the glossy photos. Not worth the money.

Great location and value for money however the room is not maintained. Mold and dust everywhere. Entered the bathroom and saw the shower head leaking that caused a small puddle. The hair dryer was plugged in. Disaster waiting to happen.

The room could use some TLC and updating. The carpets were dirty, worn and stained. The bathroom was full of mould and the tiles were falling off the wall in the shower. Expect a lot more for $250/night.

It is a heritage building so she is an old girl with creaky bones but is part of the history and landscape of Katoomba. Excellent location right in town. Walk from train. Walk to tourist sites. We had late check in and it was very easy. Upkeep of an old building is ongoing and painters were refreshing the common areas while we were there. We loved our quiet midweek stay. We stayed in room 9 up 2 flights of stairs, the room was huge, light and airy! It had air conditioning heating and a king sized comfy bed. I would take out the spa in the bathroom as it is difficult and a bit dangerous to climb into for a shower and would save water. There was a bottle of wine left for us to toast our stay.

Serious trip hazard within bedroom ,as there is a step down at the end of the bed ,which is extremely uncommon. Beware, leave a chair at the end of the bed to remind you in the middle of the night.

Was a lovely room with great staff, great location. Only one issue is the curtains didn’t block out the street lights which were on all night and made the room really bright.

Decided to go away for the night, picked this motel because it is close to everything, plus you can get a good buffet breakfast down at the metropole on gang gang st for $15 bargain. Good size room with spa bath, but some of the jets were not working, plus the size of the room you get a little tv,the place is also quiet, have stayed once before.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The hotel is in the center of Katoomba and very close to the scenic areas. If you arrive late, you need to contact the hotel in advance to get your code for the key box. We forgot this, but were able to call the hotel to get the code.

A really convenient location in Katoomba. Walkable to numerous cafes and restaurants and really close to scenic world. Reception had just closed when we arrived, but we were sent very clear check in instructions. Luckily the receptionist was still on site and went above and beyond to assist all of the late comers. Clean and tidy with a rustic charm.

It is a heritage building so she is an old girl with creaky bones but is part of the history and landscape of Katoomba. Excellent location right in town. Walk from train. Walk to tourist sites. We had late check in and it was very easy. Upkeep of an old building is ongoing and painters were refreshing the common areas while we were there. We loved our quiet midweek stay. We stayed in room 9 up 2 flights of stairs, the room was huge, light and airy! It had air conditioning heating and a king sized comfy bed. I would take out the spa in the bathroom as it is difficult and a bit dangerous to climb into for a shower and would save water. There was a bottle of wine left for us to toast our stay.

It was a great place to stay as it is in a convenient position, walking distance from the Railway Station and Echo Point. Near a bus stop if necessary. It's also very close to restaurants and supermarkets. Our room and bedding was warm and cosy and we had a convenient kitchenette.

Right next to the center of town! Very easy to drive around and get to hikes and trails. The hotel was nice for what we needed and allowed us to stay 2 nights for our hiking adventures.

Reception had just closed when we arrived, but we were sent very clear check in instructions. Luckily the receptionist was still on site and went above and beyond to assist all of the late comers. Clean and tidy with a rustic charm.

2 night stay in the king room. Jacuzzi bath was a nice relax at the end of a day. Great location, large choice of eating places nearby. On the ground floor, so separate entrance & some traffic noise. Good parking.

Friendly staff and everything was at walking distance. The 3 sisters lookout was at the end of the street and was spectacular. It was a nice surprise to find a bible in the bedside table. Good tips from motel staff where to eat.

The staff is very friendly and gave us some great advice on where to eat and the bus stop location. The room had a couple issues that should be addressed. We stayed in room #1, the toilet has internal leak that caused it to make noise through the night. It’s a small maintenance issue and these things happen. Also the plug in heater on the wall has a squeaky noise so we unplugged it and used the split system. Otherwise our stay was really great and we will definitely recommend it to all. Your staff’s friendliest made a great impression and are the reason why we highly recommend your establishment. Cheers

Decided to go away for the night, picked this motel because it is close to everything, plus you can get a good buffet breakfast down at the metropole on gang gang st for $15 bargain. Good size room with spa bath, but some of the jets were not working, plus the size of the room you get a little tv,the place is also quiet, have stayed once before.

The room was great being on the ground floor with easy access for disabled pensioner. Helpful staff. Warm room once heating kicked in. Parking excellent, just outside front door. Breakfast was supposed to be at Hotel Metropole but had finished serving at 8.40am so we missed out. Rooms could certainly do with an update, very 1970's vibe.

We booked the king spa room in winter, it included a bottle of wine and hot breakfast at the sister hotel 10 minute walk up the hill. Our stay was amazing, the staff were excellent, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the kitchenette was very handy. Plenty of local food to choose from, convenient location for Coles, Woolworths and Aldi, Plenty of shops to keep you busy for the day. Would definitely stay again, value for money.

If you plan on going to the blue Mountains for hiking, Coumba and this hotel are an excellent place to stay. I enjoyed my days there and the staff were very helpful. You can do laundry on the property for coins. It is a nice sizable apartment for this solo traveler.
