Domicil Hotel Bonn

I used this hotel so I could visit family in the area so this hotel was really convenient! There’s a 1 minute walk to the nearest tram stop, 2 minute walk to the town/shops and also a park for children just round the corner. I would say the hotel it’s self could do with a little updating and a couple things in my room needed to be fixed ( shower head/light) but nothing major and was still a comfortable stay for what we needed. Our stay was in April but it was quite a hot week and the room had air con which was a god send! Overall I would use this hotel again for the convenience! We spent most of our time at our family’s house or exploring so this was ideal.

Das Zimmer war sauber und vom Zustand der Ausstattung in Ordnung. Man sieht dennoch, dass die Bausubstanz des Hotels älter ist (Risse in der Wand etc.). Ganz großes Manko ist die schlechte Lärmdämmung der Fenster/Wände. Die Straßenbahn fährt direkt neben einem ab und das hört und spürt man auch. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Die gute Lage/ Anbindung an die Infrastruktur erleichtert einen sehr die täglichen Wege. Grundsätzlich kann ich das Hotel empfehlen, wenn man nah an der Innenstadt/ Hbf sein möchte.

This is an old building, the stairs are very steep to the rooms and there is a lack of water preassure in the shower and the breakfast was not worth it, it was very basic. The location is the best part

The room was clean and the linen was clean. That’s about all I can say. There is however a very serious issue here of safety. The shower which was a very tight cubicle has an unregulated hot water supply and once you’ve mixed the water to your right temperature it can suddenly come out scolding hot. This could easily cause a serious burn to somebody like a very young person or an elderly person. I was four or five times scalded by extremely hot water as the temperature does not remain constant. It seems if there’s somebody else opening a cold water tap in some other apartment which then affected the hot water mixture in this apartment in room 16. This is dangerous and they should address this. There were several other inconveniences such as no kettle provided to make a cup of tea for oneself.
