This hotel has no airport shuttle. We love the inside of the hotel which had all the aboriginal artefacts on the walls. Chicken was great and we were upgraded. All the staff are very nice. The hotel could do with a little upgrade, but the stuff made it brilliant

Reception staff were helpful, located close to the airport and helped book a taxi early in the morning. Dated room, some stains on the bedding and generally could have been cleaner. Small pool overlooking the road was nice to cool down in but not much else.

Room is clean, modern and central location. Has an onsite restaurant and a pool and free off street parking. We had a plumbing problem in our room and reported it. Bit disappointed with the response and lack of tidying/providing fresh towels etc. otherwise can’t complain.

Not the best location -next to a large liquor store with some dodgy characters. Was a bit worried about the car, but didn't have any issues. While it's just a few mintues to the airport, I have a different view of airport hotels -usually a cleaner feel, and somewhat safer looking area. Overall, room seemed clean enough -but tile in the bathroom a bit old and yellowing. Worse part -bed bugs -woke up itching a bite and didn't realize til the morning what was happening. Had about 30+ bites on each leg. Would look elsewhere

Stayed here 28 years ago & appears bathroom has not been updated since. Bathroom needs decent clean & update. Carpet in lifts dirty & stained. Could hear plumbing when people used showers/toilets in other rooms. Garden bed outside window was full of dead weeds. Beds were OK comfort wise but pillows not so much. Expected more for the price.

The staff were friendly and courteous, making the check-in process easy. The external area was lovely, and the 24/7 check-in and after-hours access were great. All the amenities you’d expect in a room were available, and the onsite free car parking was appreciated. The room was mostly clean, but we did notice roaches just as we were about to go to sleep. Not much we could do at 10:30 pm, so I reported them to the front desk upon check-out. The gentleman said he would get onto housekeeping. The sheets were clean but stained, and the room seemed to need a deep clean. The bed was awful to sleep on, and the breakfast options were very limited for the price, the coffee machine only gave full cream option and then spat the milk everywhere but in the cup. Overall, the building felt tired, and items like stained coffee cups and stained sheets could be replaced. Considering these factors, I would say it’s a bit pricey for the state of the building and amenities. However, since we were there on business, it suited us just fine. We would likely stay again if a quick overnight stay was required.

Great location - easy access to airport, on site parking and next to Dunwoody bar/restaurant. Staff very pleasant but my room, while clean, needed upgrading. Found AC difficult to control and bathroom with shower over the bath difficult and dangerous for an older guest - adding a safety rail would be a cheap and easy improvement.

The room was in good condition, the bathroom was reasonable condition but the shower dripped. My room was on the Sheridan Street side. It was moderately noisy. I tried to adjust the air-conditioning up to make the room warmer but gave up.

Walked to Botanic Gardens was very easy.. Riding the bus to shopping center was easy too. Whole city seems to be in the flight path of the airport so a bit noisy.

At first I did not want to stay. Didn't seem the safest area. Youth in carpark talking drugs and drinking when I arrived. Hotel was willing to give refund and reassurance was given this was unusual. Well handed by the hotel.

The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The hub of the city is their harbour front area and we needed to take an Uber to/from the Hotel to dine out and explore the city. We would have preferred to be in walking distance to the city sights.

I booked this hotel based on the reviews, but I was very disappointed. Even the guests checking out before us said it was the worst hotel they have stayed at so far on their vacation. The area around the hotel was sketchy. We had breakfast at the restaurant one morning and learned not to eat at the hotel for the rest of our stay, but there are very limited dining options in the area. The bed was very uncomfortable, the toilet was constantly running and there was a weird smell in our room. I would stay much closer to the Port if I were to visit Cairns again

The food in the accompanying restaurant was overcooked (calamari, fish, chips). The curry had 4 pieces of meat only. We weren’t given glasses for our drinks until we asked for them then they were tiny though other clients had highball glasses.

Everywhere in the hotel says dinner and lunch are served but not really. Only breakfast was available all three days we stayed. There was no good restaurants near by except one, causing difficulty for customers.

Dining was okay. The breakfast area needs work. The bread was just in original loaves. People just put hands in to get. The young staff were great.

Don’t judge it by the images, it’s an old, tired motel. Bathrooms downstairs in lobby are putrid. Breakfast menu that says you can order various cooked options is an outright lie, it’s just sloppy eggs and baked beans in food warmers with bread still in home brand supermarket bags. Pay more and stay home elsewhere, this is lowbrow clientele at best.

The hotel is outdated and it was not very clean. We went to the dinning room to have breakfast. We didn't want to have the buffet because we didn't need that much food and frankly, the food did not look great. However, the chef said that he would only make breakfast items for those who make a room order.

Had a very pleasant week-long stay here. Opted to include breakfast with the booking and that was worth it. Bed was extremely comfortable! Used the easy to access public transit the entire stay. Pool is small but pretty and well kept. The entire hotel is clean, staff very kind, and I would happily stay here again.
