Our room was right on the beach — beautiful, comfortable and perfectly located. If I had to be particular, it was slightly dated, but certainly nothing that would deter me from staying here again. The pool area was spotless and absolutely stunning. We’ll definitely be back!

The staff & the rooms are very well presented. I find having to pay for slow to medium wifi disappointing, especially when already paying a significant amount for the accomodation. The pool is nice but there is no shade for people while in the pool, especially for children. I raised this very same topic over 8 years ago & yet nothing has been done.

The hotel is nice, BUT there is no elevator/lift so if your room is on floor 3 you are carrying your bags up and down. The resturant adjacent to the the hotel is very, very good but not cheap. The view from the room/balcony was good, noting some room views do not look as great.

Accommodation was clean & extremely spacious, the pool was well needed & kept clean with great childrens area & plenty of room to swim. great for relaxing with plenty of seating & sunbeds. Staff were incredibly friendly & very accommodating with enquiries. Really enjoyed our stay and would come back without hesitation.

Having stayed in many Mantra properties, I was really surprised by this one. While Mantra Amphora looks charming from the outside, it’s in serious need of some love and updates. The pool area is spacious and attractive, but the plastic lounge chairs were uncomfortable and had no cushions — you’ll need a few towels just to make it bearable. The room was a letdown. The jacuzzi barely worked, the bathroom fixtures were old, the tap leaked, the toilet seat was loose, and the flush was worn out. The “coffee fridge” area was fine, and the bed, while firm, was still comfortable. The TV wasn’t smart and had limited options — not a big deal for me, but worth noting. The worst part was the noise. I could hear everything — people watching TV next door, toilets flushing above — the walls are paper-thin. On the positive side, the staff were lovely, especially the woman at check-in, and I appreciated being able to use the back bathroom for a good shower before leaving. Sadly, this stay didn’t meet the standard I’ve come to expect from Mantra. With some care and updates, it could be great — but it’s not there yet.

Wouldn’t recommend, and this place was not a “4 star” hotel. Was meant to be an ocean view room, all we had a view of was the back service area of the restaurant next door. The air con didn’t work properly, the toilet seat was broken and the bathroom extremely rusty and grotty. Despite being a “hotel room” and not an apartment set up there was no daily servicing of the room.

Our stay at Amphora was pleasurable. The unit was clean, largish for 2 people. We had a nice view of pool area. Only disappointment was crockery not very clean, old and mis-matched. There were plenty of wine / beer glasses! Mantra is in z very good position at Palm Cove, close to everything.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mantra Amphora. Our apartment was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a nice stay. We could use the pool area and restrooms after our checkout which was very useful.

I always stay at Mantra Amphora Palm Cove, I’ve never tried anywhere else as always happy there. Having said that, the quality of the room/apartment on each visit has been a mixed bag. The one bedroom apartment, 815A, was outstanding! Poolside no less! It could have been a tad cleaner, but the bed was super comfy, it had a full sized kitchen and plenty of lounges and a dining table. Also well stocked with crockery and utensils. Palm Cove is gorgeous, beach across the road and loads of amazing restaurants to choose from. There is a frequent bus service to and from the city if required. Word of advice, if self catering there is a small local supermarket but HUGELY expensive! I saw loads of Mantra holiday makers having online food delivery from Coles and would do the same next time. Hope this is helpful!

The bed was hard/firm & difficult to get to sleep. Were told at reception all rooms had the same bed. Apart from this had an enjoyable stay & love coming to Palm Cove.

There is no service after check in. Do not expect help with your luggage. There is no room service of the bed linen etc unless you stay for 8 days or more. If you have mobility issues check which level you’re on as there are no lifts. Pool is nice.

The property itself was very good. We arrived late and checked in. The toilet in our room was not working. I tried ringing down to reception but the phones were out of order. There was another number to ring but it would not connect me to reception. When I walked down to reception, the person there was not helpful suggesting that it was our fault (Are you pressing just one button at a time!!). When I said I couldn't connect to reception, he just looked at his phone and said "I don't have any missed calls". We were told every room was booked and we couldn't change. By midday the next day it was fixed, but it was not handled at all well initially.

When I said I couldn't connect to reception, he just looked at his phone and said "I don't have any missed calls". We were told every room was booked and we couldn't change. By midday the next day it was fixed, but it was not handled at all well initially.

Loved this Resort,you can hear the waves breaking on the beach.The pool is cleaned everyday and is impeccable. Get out of Cairns and STAY here. Catch bus to Cairns half hour away and so cheap,bring your Seniors card if you have one.brillant pubs and clubs with pick up free buses.

Loved the hotel - clean, convenient, self sufficient. Beach just across the road and went swimming in the flagged area. Good food on offer at restaurants/cafes in easy walking distance.

It was lovely being so close to the beach and eateries. So great to have such a beautiful pool and surrounds. And our room was in a quiet spot. Very relaxing.

Nice property but far from the city and Reef Terminal in Cairns. Property could recommend closer options for water sports. I ended up renting a car once I realized how far it was from the Cairns Marlin Marina. The property did not have an elevator make sure you can carry you bags the 3 plus flights Palm Cove is quaint. The restaurants in the area walkable from the property.

We had a beautiful apartment with a patio and lounge room that overlooked the beach. A very comfortable stay at the Mantra which was right in the heart of shops and restaurants in Palm Cove. Perfect!

I would give this 5 stars for location and proximity to the beach, restaurants and more but the few things that didn't work well for me were the lack of internet throughout the property so I had to work from the lobby which wasn't always open. I also felt like there was a lack overall. They have the opportunity to greet guests with coffee in the lobby but don't. The restaurant at the property isn't considered part of the hotel so when trying to order wine and go to my room, I couldn't because they were separate. I just felt like they were missing the mark. The gates getting around are a pain, no help with luggage, no internet, meh. I'd stay here again but no good wifi was a deal killer for me.

Palm Cove is a great location and the hotel was across a fairly quiet road from the main beach, near to a number of very good restaurants / cafes to suit all pockets. The hotel was very clean and the room a good size with good amenities. The furnishings were a little tired but this did not detract from the overall comfort of the space. Internet reception on Wi-Fi is very slow due to Palm Cove’s location. Overall I would recommend the hotel for a stay.
