This hotel has fewer than 10 rooms, but somehow still manages to have a restaurant and a spa. Everything was beautiful, from the private pool attached to our room to the mountain view, and the price was shockingly good. Staff was very pleasant and there are 2 lovely dogs that live in reception. Would recommend, would stay again.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Nice location near the V&A waterfront. Front desk staff very friendly and they were there 24 hours. Breakfast included, I had a nice Avo Smash with Bacon and orange juice every morning. Room was very comfy and with a private outdoor pool, shame that I couldn’t use it due to the weather. The room was cleaned every day. Couldn’t have asked for more really, very good value.

I loved the deep tub. The private pool on private deck would have been over-the-top if it was a hot tub. But room was clean and the bedding was luxurious, notwithstanding, a Nespresso coffee maker in the room. But, better than in room coffee was the included breakfast of superior quality and selection. And I found just down the street a shopping center that met all my needs. I highly recommend.

This was definitely not 5 star as advertised or even 4 or 3 star! Please be warned. It is a cheap city centre hotel . Clean but unbelievably cramped room. No one at reception when we arrived. The manager came out saying he was on a phone call and just gave us the key. A dog was asleep in the corridor . Photos of the room below show toilet and shower inside the bedroom with no privacy screen . They advertise a spa which is literally a bed behind a sliding door behind reception . We asked if there was a bigger room but told by the assistant that none available .She smiled when we told her it was cramped ; hardly any light and a toilet and shower in full view of the bed! We also noticed signs all over saying Maintenance work being undertaken and a strong smell of paint or chemical of some sort in the air. We were so disappointed we actually chose to leave and forfeit the expense. Unless you want a cheap budget hotel , do not book this place . We trusted the star system given by hotels.com and this just was not correct. Very disappointing. How can this rate as 9.4?

Our stay was good but could have been better. Because breakfast is in the adjoining restaurant we were only allowed one drink and one menu item which was not our expectation. The room was not replenished each day and we had to ask for towels, coffee pods and water. The outside plunge pool had not been cleaned on our arrival and was quite dirty.

Sugar is a small hotel and the staff get to know you. They were very friendly. Someone was at the front door/desk 24/7. It is in a safe and quiet part of town, a $4 Uber ride to the Waterfront area. The breakfast was made to order and delicious. My room was small, however modern and very clean. They promptly responded to messages I sent them. I highly recommend staying at Sugar.

Wir waren über Silvester im Sugar Hotel, unser Zimmer lag im Keller, hatte nur ein kleines Oberlicht, dafür einen inverstellbaren Blick vom Kopfkissen auf die Toilette und Dusche. Der Rezeptionsservice nach Mitternacht wurde dann von verschiedenen Hotelgästen wahrgenommen, die dann die anderen Gäste, die von der Silvester Party kamen und vor dem verschlossenen Hotel standen, hineingelassen haben. Irre Erfahrungen.

Wir waren über Silvester im Sugar Hotel, unser Zimmer lag im Keller, hatte nur ein kleines Oberlicht, dafür einen inverstellbaren Blick vom Kopfkissen auf die Toilette und Dusche. Extrem freundliches Personal, early checking, praktische Lage, sehr nettes Hotel mit wenigen Zimmern. Raum sehr klein (24m2), kleine Abgrenzung zur Nasszelle, nur ein kleines Oberfenster, tagsüber viel Strassenlärm.

Fab little boutique hotel. Very close to the V&A Waterfront area - we took Ubers most days for £2. Hotel staff were very friendly and helped us organise a tour to see the penguins at Boulders Beach. The room was very spacious, with a huge bed. We could have benefitted from more wardrobe space, but otherwise totally fantastic

Wir waren über Silvester im Sugar Hotel, unser Zimmer lag im Keller, hatte nur ein kleines Oberlicht, dafür einen inverstellbaren Blick vom Kopfkissen auf die Toilette und Dusche. Der Rezeptionsservice nach Mitternacht wurde dann von verschiedenen Hotelgästen wahrgenommen, die dann die anderen Gäste, die von der Silvester Party kamen und vor dem verschlossenen Hotel standen, hineingelassen haben. Irre Erfahrungen.

Eine eigentlich sehr gut gelegene Unterkunft mit schönen Zimmern und gutem Bad. Der Service ist von unfreundlich beim Empfang, bis gleichgültig im Service jedoch sehr schlecht. Es ist keine Führung des Hotels oder Ansprache für Gäste erkennbar. Das Frühstück ist ok, wenn man viel Zeit hat. Den 2. Kaffee zahlt man extra.

Sugar is a small hotel and the staff get to know you. They were very friendly. Someone was at the front door/desk 24/7. It is in a safe and quiet part of town, a $4 Uber ride to the Waterfront area. The breakfast was made to order and delicious. My room was small, however modern and very clean. They promptly responded to messages I sent them. I highly recommend staying at Sugar.

This was a good property in a pretty safe area. There was confusion at check in with explaining the breakfast arrangements and as a result we did not take advantage of the INCLUDED breakfast. The 24 hr security was not always at the door and we were left standing outside late at night waiting to be let in longer than we were comfortable with.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Nice location near the V&A waterfront. Front desk staff very friendly and they were there 24 hours. Breakfast included, I had a nice Avo Smash with Bacon and orange juice every morning. Room was very comfy and with a private outdoor pool, shame that I couldn’t use it due to the weather. The room was cleaned every day. Couldn’t have asked for more really, very good value.

Oncemore and George are very helpful and if you have any questions they are going to help as much as they can. The area is great to get to the start line of the Cape Town Marathon. Was not use to the no door for the toilet area in our bedroom. The staff is wonderful and I felt really safe.

Fab little boutique hotel. Very close to the V&A Waterfront area - we took Ubers most days for £2. Hotel staff were very friendly and helped us organise a tour to see the penguins at Boulders Beach. The room was very spacious, with a huge bed. We could have benefitted from more wardrobe space, but otherwise totally fantastic

I loved the deep tub. The private pool on private deck would have been over-the-top if it was a hot tub. But room was clean and the bedding was luxurious, notwithstanding, a Nespresso coffee maker in the room. But, better than in room coffee was the included breakfast of superior quality and selection. And I found just down the street a shopping center that met all my needs. I highly recommend.

Our stay was good but could have been better. Because breakfast is in the adjoining restaurant we were only allowed one drink and one menu item which was not our expectation. The room was not replenished each day and we had to ask for towels, coffee pods and water. The outside plunge pool had not been cleaned on our arrival and was quite dirty.

O hotel boutique é maravilhoso! Nosso quarto foi o cinico e até piscina privativa tinha com vista para a table mountain. Quarto amplo, limpeza impecável, funcionários educados e simpáticos. Café da manhã muito bom! Localização próxima a waterfront. Adoramos a hospedagem! Super recomendo!

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. A member of our team had belongings stolen during their stay, and what followed was even more shocking than the incident itself: complete lack of accountability, little sense of urgency, and an overall feeling that guest safety was simply not a priority. We were left feeling unsupported and incredibly disappointed. No traveler should have to worry about whether their belongings are safe inside a hotel. We chose this place expecting basic standards of security and professionalism and received neither. Absolutely would not return and would strongly discourage others from staying here. Not a five star hotel!!

A very bad attention and they stole $450 from my suitcase. I didn't get a positive response from the administrator, Oncemore, his only response was to say that his staff would never do anything like that, and he suggested that I had lost the money elsewhere, when I was 100% sure that my money was right where I told him. I strongly suggest not to use this hotel. They are not trustworthy.

I reallly love this hotel, it was very close to waterfront and has amazing restaurants around it. I will be definitely staying here if I come back! Breakfast is really good, very tasty but there’s no buffet, you have to order the breakfast and they prepare it fresh
